“It's Halloween season and the Vallejo farmers market is ready with seasonal produce. As before I didn't spot carving pumpkins. I assume you have to go to a pumpkin patch.The fruits of the season, plums, persimmons and more were displayed in bountiful splendor.The fruits of the sea were well represented- oysters, fish, shrimp. Wish I had noticed this last time. I could have planned a little better and gotten something going.One of the venders was selling Asian dim sum treats. But I had loaded up on vegetables from my fav farmer. I was too loaded to carry anymore long before I got all the items on my wishlist. Clearly, I need to get a little shopping cart. Or perhaps the market does?As usual the parking was busy. Ended up parking in an empty lot that belonged to a business. Luckily they were closed. But shhhh....”
“I love stopping by for lunch. Their selection for vegetarian premade lunches are decent and under $5. Also, I prefer shopping at Trader Joe's for groceries because their prices low and they have a large selection of organic produce.”

“We just moved to the area and checked out this farmers market today for the first time. It’s a wonderful little market! A variety of fruits and vegetables from local farms as well as vendors selling prepared food (many delicious Filipino dishes) popcorn, ice cream, pita chips and hummus (phenomenal, btw), and some non food things such as jewelry and soaps. We took home many veggies fruit, and the pita and 2 kinds of hummus. We will be back!”
“My favorite local grocery store! If you're looking for something great! Catch their $5 Monday deals! You can find Lavazza coffee, King's Hawaiian Rolls, etc during this one day deal! These deals vary from week to week, but they save you $5-8 per item when they do go on sale! The deli sandwiches are the best too! The chicken salad and the Dagwood are my go to sandwiches! Always great service and quality products! It's a great environment for shopping for a quick meal, snack, or grabbing all your groceries for the week.”

“Being from out of town and looking for a specific grocery item, we called Nob Hill Foods asking if the item was sold there. The gentleman was confident it was sold here. He was so polite and well spoken. Additionally, he asked if he could check the shelf to make sure the item was in stock. I am over-the-moon impressed with this type of customer service. I’ve found telephone customer service to be less than welcoming in our general society practices. Thank you Nob Hill!”
“I love Grocery Outlet. This place is so drastically less expensive than everywhere else. It encourages you to try new things upshelf. Grocery Outlet, Bargain Market. I lived in Mexico for a bit. This is where I went to shop when getting my 6month stamp.”
“This is a great local grocery store with better produce than Safeway and much more convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful and they don't need multiple security guards and gates at the exit. They also carry great local products that are better than national brands. This is my go to for day-to-day groceries.”
“Lots of good prices here. Items are hit and miss, sometimes they have Schar brand gluten free bread, sometimes they don't. Eggs are 5 dozen for only $8.99, which is a good deal. Staff is pretty cool and friendly.”

“I'm updating my review June 20 2023. This store has really stepped up its game. Doing business in Vallejo has to be tough but this store makes it look easy. It's now well stocked and has a new layout.Plus they have freebie Friday.My old review of the old store: With few grocery store options, they do the best they can. Expect long lines and few choices”
“Pleasant hill market has great produce at reasonable prices. The staff and owner are terrific. They also have lots of grocery items too. They are my go to store for produce and last minute groceries that I need.”
“Rincon Latino is a market I stopped by for ingredients when doing some of my cooking adventures when I lived in Albany. The store was easy to spot from the street and the parking lot was easy to maneuver in to and out of. Offerings spread a variety of grocery items and included produce and meat. When asking for a cut of meat from the butcher/meat case area, I was happy I had looked up in advance the terminology in Spanish for the cut of meat I was looking for as it turned out to be helpful for indicating what cut I wanted. Produce was fresh and worked perfect in the dishes I made. The interior of the store was well laid out with different sections clearly shelved without spreading into another section. Produce sections were located both outside of the entrance and inside the store. Payment was straightforward. All of the workers we interacted with were friendly and professional.”
“Could not ask for a better neighborhood market. When I first moved to the area a decade ago, it was under different management and a dark, dreary shell of what it has become. The new owners have turned it around so much; it feels nicer in some way practically every time I come in. It has long been our place to go when we quickly need a certain ingredient or two, but I now find myself not getting certain produce when I shop at TJs or Luckys because I know that what Central Foods has is consistently better: particularly kale, citrus, corn, and melon. Staff is super friendly and helpful, and the taco truck in the parking lot beats any fast food for taste, price, quality and speed.”
“In a world of supermarkets, I love a corner neighborhood market. Great selection of snacks, drinks, candy, and grocery items. Went for the cheessteaks . Have to say, for the little corner shop, they were pretty good! They make them fresh, call ahead if you don't want to wait.”
“My go to place for burritos and tacos. Most authentic Mexican food in Vallejo. Down to the beans you can taste the simplistic Mexican seasonings. Aside from their hot food, they have a large selection of fresh meats. The ground beef is lean and the asada taste great. The produce is also fresh. The entire place is extremely clean and the staff are kind.”

“I stopped there on the tail end of a long bike ride. There was such a nice vibe going on with some of the customers just hanging out and being friendly and jovial. The man behind the counter greeted me and asked me about my ride. Nice people and a great selection of drinks and snacks. I'm making this food mart a regular stop on my rides.”
