The Bed was soooooo Comfortable. It felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. If I imagined how it would be. "Just saying".
Very Clean, me being germaphobic. I had no issues. My room had microwave and small fridge. That's always a plus when ur doing more than 1 day. We stayed a week. There's lots of local shops near by. 711 like a 4minute walk. Chair outside door. If ur wanting to have a cig. Girl that checked me in was cool. The maids are also cool. We will be going back. Though we are locals. Been here for 2yrs living. I've just always wanted to experience the spot. It was A1.
Nearby activities: Restaurants, post office and nice Bar and lake Gregory lake.”
“The Wigwam Motel is a terrific place to stay on Route 66, particularly if you have a kid or are really into iconic landmarks. We stayed for two nights and found it to be clean, quiet, friendly, and fun. It's a family run motel and it"s clear that they take great pride in maintaining the property well and taking good care of their guests. My husband and I highly recommend it!”

“We got stuck on 18 last night heading to Big Bear due to the wind, fog & snow. Giant Oaks was right off the highway and a safe place to stop. While we typically might have looked elsewhere for lodging besides a roadside lodge, we were pleasantly surprised by and very grateful for the clean, comfortable accommodations. Staff was super sweet and we were glad to have made a fun memory staying at Giant Oaks. Thank you so much!”
“We had sooo muchhh fun during our stay here! We first got the mountain view room- we loved it so much that we booked forest view room one week after. Both were amazing, and I simply can’t believe this place is only 1.5-2 hrs away from downtown area.
They encourage people to put their phones away (even had a lockbox) and connect with nature and with your companion ? the room was tiny but well equipped with everything needed. If help is needed, there’s a phone inside the cabin, and you can also text the crew member. Felt really safe ?”

“Nice room and the management was great. Roscoe was very helpful and accommodating. The only thing I'd say is they need to get a thermostat for the rooms. We had to call to have them turn up the heat and then down. The temperature was too hot during the night but I didn't want to bug him again. Other than that. We brought our dog and it worked out very well.”

“A shining star in San Berdu! This is a great hotel – super clean with a low deposit of just $25 and unbeatable rates. Check-in was quick, and the facilities, both inside and out, are very clean and well-lit. It’s perfect if you just need a night’s rest. “Reading the reviews, I was really worried going into my stay here. Every rideshare driver also expressed concern when they dropped my friend and I off. However, the room itself was quite nice and clean. Docking a star as the bathroom light constantly flickered. There are definitely homeless individuals in the area but I didn’t see any in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Check in was very efficient, albeit interesting given the cordoned off lobby. Very convenient for NOS events and although it is in a sketchy area, not terrible if you’re with a group. Just use ride share to get to and from the hotel, lock your doors and windows and you are good!”
“The best hotel in this area for sure, but still not all that. They have a pest problem and their sheets and towels are all stained. Wi-Fi does not work inside the rooms and some rooms the TV doesn't work. Not all of the lights were working and the water didn't get hot enough. Staff steals so if you can always have someone in the room, do that. They will harass you about cleaning but they don't clean themselves. The owner is great though, I would imagine his staff lies to him a lot because the way he carries himself I don't think he has an evil bone in his body. He's kind and honest. I'm sure he trusts his staff to be cleaning and doing repairs properly and probably doesn't know how poorly they actually do their jobs. I would stay there again if I'm in the area, I would just bring my own cleaning supplies and linens and my camera so I can catch them the next time they try to steal from me.”

“What an amazing stay! Right across the street from Gregory Lake, a grocery store on one corner, a 7-11 on the other corner. What an awesome little town! Room was clean, balcony facing the lake, snacks, coffee, microwave and mini fridge. No noise problems, and the gentleman that checked us in was very kind and let us know all the info we needed to know about the room. I wish I could have got his name. Definitely wanting to stay again!”
