They have a lack of concern for the pet owners.

I took my dog to this vet because she hurt her leg. At first they told me it would be at least two weeks before they could see her because he was booked up. I was then told that if I pay 75 for a new patient fee and 150 for urgent need he would see her that day which was during their regular business hours. I was extremely worried about my dog so I had no choice. my dog is a 2 pound 10 week old Yorkie mix and very tiny and easily managed. So the vet was booked up unless I gave him 220 dollars just to look at her before any treatment. When I picked her up it cost me an additional 320 dollars for treatment. He put a splint on her leg and it cost me altogether 540 dollars for him to put a splint on her leg. And if that wasn't enough when I took her in for a follow-up two weeks later he charged me another 85 dollars to check on a injury I already paid him to fix. What happened to having some compassion for the animals . What happened to the code of ethics they are supposed to follow ? I would not recommend this vet because he's going to milk you for all they can.

Love Dr Wood and his employees.

The office and computer program is extremely inefficient. It matches the Vet's personality. If he can make your pet's treatment complex and expensive, he will.

I thought long and hard before writing this negative post but I think it needs to be said. We have had Dr. Wood as our dogs' vet for seven years and we think highly of him as a vet. His office used to run smoothly with few if any issues but over the past couple years his front office staff has deteriorated. We recently had our dogs board there for about two weeks and several issues arose. Not only is the cost to board very high ($25/dog/night) but they charge extra if your dog needs wet food. I can live with that but the most recent event has me very irritated. Our dogs were tested for worms and were negative but they proceeded to deworm them, again something I don't have a problem with. What they gave them was a problem. They received Interceptor plus which was a problem for several reasons. Our Belgian shepherd mix received that same medication about six months ago and had a very bad reaction to it with several days of diarrhea and anorexia(not eating). This was a bad enough reaction that I called the manufacturer and they told me to stop the medication and they gave us a full refund. This was a medication recommended by Dr. Wood and required a prescription from him to obtain the medication so one would think they had a record of this prescription. After her reaction I called his office and told the front desk person that we had to stop this medication because of this reaction and would they ask Dr. Wood for an alternative medication. I never heard back from them. Fast forward to two weeks ago and again I told them about our dog's reaction to this medication when I dropped them off for boarding and would they again ask Dr. Wood to give us another recommendation for heart worm. I also told them my other two dogs also receive Interceptor plus and received a dose the day prior. This obviously wasn't noted because when I picked them up I found all three of them had received a dose of Interceptor plus. I told the front staff that I was displeased that they not only gave my one dog a medication she had an adverse reaction to but also second doses to my other dogs after I had told them they had received a dose the day before resulting in additional unnecessary charges. When I brought this up they basically tried to put the blame on me because I was told they would receive deworming medication. They also quipped that it was a good thing she didn't react to it this time, a very cavalier attitude on their part. They did not really apologize for messing up and instead seemed to try to pin the blame on me. I guess I'm supposed to know that they would automatically give Interceptor plus for deworming but again nothing was said about it. I also received plenty of attitude from one of the women working there basically implying that I should know they would give that medication for deworming. Although it says in the box it is used for numerous parasites no where does it say it is used for deworming. Another issue was the amount of time it took to get our dogs and pay the bill. It took 40-45 minutes to do this. None of the paperwork was ready despite me calling the previous afternoon to let them know we would be in the next morning to pick up our dogs. It isn't like we got there just as they open because it was well past 10am when we got there. This is not the only incident we have had recently. They have misplaced/lost items we have left for our dogs so we now only leave their leashes when we board them. I asked them to raise the issue with Dr. Wood and have him call me but I'm not holding my breath. As I said, I think Dr. Wood is a good and competent vet but he really needs to address his front office issues. My advice to anyone who uses this office is to be very specific about anything to do with your pet and insist they write it down.

Straight up can't even explain how livid and broken I am!I called you guys twice, the first lady told me the exam would be like $175 plus other initial cost and that we can come on in and fill out the application, when we actually went to Crescent City to get my little leopard gecko in, no one was there, we called the emergency line as it was an emergency, we were told the cost of the exam would be $250 something plus the other cost and were asked if that was okay, my boyfriend and I were confused on how we were told different prices but we both said yes because we were willing to pay anything, after we said yes, person on the phone then said "sorry we don't take new clients." Seriously?? Then why ask, not only were we told different cost, we were turned down and I couldn't find any other vet, I was at work when I got the call from my boyfriend stating she passed away! How many animals have y'all let down and just die? The cries that came out of me made my boyfriend run to me while I was at work, I have been owning reptiles for 7 years, they have become a huge part of me, all of my animals do just like any other pet for any other person. I will never try this place again, instead I'll risk my chance of calling off of work and traveling if I ever need a vets assistance again!

Very friendly. State of the art equipment, which is reflected on your final bill?, a bit on the expensive side, although great care. May not answer during business hours or return phone calls. Recently paid approximately $100 for exam and rabies vaccination.

Best Vet we've ever seen. The only issue is that they stay VERY busy, but that shows how awesome the team is.

Every experience with this vet hasn't been great. There's definitely an awkward vibe. Seemed to turn his nose up at my pitbull.

I am new to town and dropped in to see if they were taking new doggie clients. Although they were short-staffed and busy, they were friendly and accommodating. Overall, I found this veterinary clinic to be very friendly, caring, professional, and attentive!

Been there several times with our Shih Tzu, Otis who happens to have seasonal allergies. The medication used (injection) works very well and wait time was not bad at all. The Vet and all staff are very knowledgeable, professional and caring!
