Recently it was my first time having breakfast at the IKEA restaurant! It was empty so it was nice to experience this without there being a rush! I was very lost as to how it all functioned but you basically grab a tray and let the people in the kitchen know what you'd like based on the menu they have on the screens above. You are able to grab their pastries/cakes on their own! I tried the Daim cake and oh my goshhh, it was delicious! I got the medium breakfast plate and the potatoes were very flavorful, I liked it! Decent breakfast food, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Also tried the infamous Swedish meat meatballs with gravy and they were great! Reminded me of some childhood meatballs I used to have. Ambiance was great, very cafe like. Nice to have a bite before the long shopping haul! I'd definitely give it another go and try some of their lunch/dinner dishes!

Ordered the famous Swedish meatball plate at IKEA since it's been a long while I hadn't had it since I was a kid. It is NOT the same as I expected it to be.. I mean no high expectations of course, it's a furniture shopping center, and it's not an actual high standard restaurant. But the food was not hot at all when I received it, did not taste freshly cooked as everything was served to me. I wish the potatoes had a little more seasoning because it tasted bland even with the gravy around it. The jelly was probably the only best part out of the entire thing. For the buck it's not that bad if you're feel microwaveable food outside of your house, but they could've done better on adding more seasonings into the food when it was being prepared. The service was ok, the team members laugh really loud and I felt disrespected after I sat down. Don't think I'll be coming back to this IKEA to eat.

I love this place and their Swedish Meatballs. It's so good with gravy, cranberry, mashed potatoes and peas. I got the eight piece meatball for $9.99. They also have the 12 piece for $11.99 and 16 piece for $12.99. I thought the prices were great until someone told me they used to be around $7. Wow, that would be even better, lol.I also added on a drink at check out. I believe it was $2. Drinks are unlimited and you can sample all their different drinks. They don't have the standard fountain drinks from Pepsi or Coke. They have their own IKEA drinks. I tried their Cola and it was different. I didn't really care for it. Maybe I'm used to Coke. Someone in front of me got the Lingonberry drink. I got that instead and really liked it. They have a huge dining area that overlooks the parking and the Jollibee building. I didn't even know that Jollibee had their own building. I wonder if that's their headquarters. Anyways, I love their fried chicken.

Great for a quick lunch before or after shopping. The food is tasty at a good price. Swedish meatball plate ample and delicious. We also enjoyed the chicken plate. The fries were especially good. The lingonberry drink is good with ice. It is less sweet if you add some water. A relaxing respite after a morning of shopping with a pleasant outdoor view. The staff is helpful with a welcoming attitude.

For those that complain about the service, remember you're dining choice is a food court in a furniture store.Best bang for the buck. Small breakfast is only $2.99 as of July 29, 2023. You can't even get a breakfast sandwich from a fast food restaurant.

Still good hotdogs, new offerings like ICEEs - but inflation has hit here too - not as much of a deal as it was. ( ICEE are refillable - all the sugar you can drink :)

Came here on a Sunday as we were shopping and stopped by the Ikea restaurant for dinner. It is 6:00pm, and it is still pretty empty. Before, $20-25 would feed a family of 4 along with appetizers and dessert. The restaurant would also be packed. Right now the prices have gone up significantly. The Swedish meatballs cost $9.99 for 8 meatballs, and the chicken thigh costs $11.99. The only reasonable prices were the kids mac and cheese for $2.49 a plate. Our total came out to be $29.72 with no drinks or dessert. They serve the food like how school cafeterias have it. But for close to $30 and still leaving unsatisfied, I didn't think it was reasonable and it makes it our last time to eat here. Positives: The staff was friendly, and we don't have to pay tip since we put away our own plates and utensils. They advertise saying Ikea family members get 5% discount, and they place it all over the tables. However, we showed them our Ikea family card and did not receive any discount eating here. It felt like false advertising for us.

Food is tasteless and mash potatoes were burnt.Ambiance is dirtyService is super sucked.Cashier likes a dead meal who careless about U.Minus 10 s because I feel like shoveling trash into my mouth when it charges $10.00 per plate before taxes. It is definitely losing customers widely when it has plenty of seats available during weekend's lunch hours because the price substantially increased 25 - 30% since I last visited 6 months ago and quality of food and service are down-warding. I m not surprised why the keep increasing the price to cover up cost while losing a ton of customer. I don't believe I will ever return there at all. so long IKEA Cafe at Covina.

Located inside of the IKEA store, on Barranca. Lots of available parking. We haven't been to IKEA in years, what is new addition to us is the Swedish restaurant. Yes, it's been a long time since we've been back, but we wanted to try dinner here since our friends told us about it. The line wasn't too long. You get the little cart to help carry all your food items. Our family picked two Swedish (8) meatball meals, which comes with gravy on top of the mashed potatoes and meatballs, peas and jam/jelly, then a plant based very for my husband who is on lent and the salmon meal which comes with a different version of mashed potatoes on the side shaped into a circle. Plus, the unlimited sodas, which we got Sierra Mist cola and raspberry tea. The seating are seem opened with the wide windows overlooking the city. We enjoyed our meals while watching the sunset to the west. I surprisingly liked the meatballs. It's not the way I imagined, but it wasn't terrible. My hubby actually like the plant based meatballs. It didn't taste like cardboard and was quite edible. The teens enjoyed their meals too. Would we come eat here again? Sure, if we spent the most of the shopping here as well.
