TJ was extremely helpful in opening my accounts. He stated that many people use their bank to get a fresh start.

If you wish to be disappointed, please look no further. You will get cussed out by the associates and dismissed by the accountant manager. Impatience and lies run rampant throughout this “financial institution “. Expect to hate yourself for ever opening an account.
After speaking to Karen the branch manager on Citrus in Covina, and now after having sent several emails, I’m sure I’m being avoided. I would like my account to be made whole. My attempt to get clarity about my checking account has been to no avail. I am simply disappointed and I wish I would have never opened an account with this company. When they can’t get it right they avoid you like the plague. Saddest customer service I have ever received from a bank. I’m sure there are literally hundreds if not thousands of customers that feel like I do. Go anywhere else but this bank. Warning they will take steal and hide your money and answer only when they know it’s not you calling. Lesson learned. I got burned by BMO The bank is like a garden tool.

I went to try and open a business account and was told the banker (I guess they have only one) was in a meeting.. they asked for my name and number and he would call when he was available... it's a shame how banking has put customers needs second.. I mean, isn't it a bankers job to open accounts

Worst service from the lady with the glasses on the teller line Thursday 01/25/24 at 3:10pm. She did not offer receipts and was very snobby the entire transaction. She was not helpful and spoke very sharply and very short. I don't think I ever had such a condescending, horrible transaction or encounter at any bank I bank with. Normally Bank of the West also known as BMO are really great to their clients and she was not. I definitely recommend a different location to get any of your banking needs met. If I didn't know certain things about banking already and my options for my financial transactions, I would have left even more frustrated. At least there is a lot of parking available, although entering and exiting the plaza might be a bit confusing at first because it is structured pretty uniquely. This is a convenient location for me, but when it comes to finances I think I rather go to a location I can trust their employees, and that they would at least give an effort to at least pretend to be professional. This caught me off guard, I am normally very proud of BMOs because they have mostly been very professional and seemed like they genuinely cared about their clients, I regret to say quite the opposite about this one.

This review is for B-MO I would give zero stars if I could. Their customer service is unacceptable and they are severely understaffed. Called the banker twice both times he's busy, and left messages with the operator and sent an email to him. Zero reply. Next step is to physically go into the branch and get the help that I need.

I went in to inquire about cashing savings bonds. The teller was so unhelpful and acted as if I shouldn't have even been there. Then seemed confused as to why the bond is so old. It's from 1993, they take 30 years to mature. It's why I was looking into it. The tellers need better training. It's not the first bad experience I've had.

Do not bank here!! I was charged over $400 in over draft fees when I never went over my balance. They will not refund me and make it very difficult to even try and get a refund. They are the worst bank I’ve ever had.

Horrible Bank with Racist Tellers! Bank of the West Covina Branch is one of the most Racist Branches I have ever gone to. On Friday, Oct-7, 2022 I entered this branch to cash my Payroll check for the second time. I returned to this branch because a week prior I visited this branch to cash my check and was greeted professionally and friendly by a female teller. Unfortunately, my recent visit was horrible and disturbing because of the way I was treated by this Asian Teller. He refused to give me his name which is why I am referring to him as Asian. I walked up to his teller window and presented my payroll check and told him I just wanted to cash my check. He looked up my account and then looked at my check and said he could not cash it because it was a Wells Fargo bank check. This struck me as very odd, I asked him to then call Wells Fargo to verify it's validity and he refused. He said they don't do that. My account is open in good standing with money in my checking account. He became rude and said he would not cash it. I told him I was there last week and the other teller had no issues and promptly and courteously cashed my payroll check. He became a little irate and tossed my check back and said to go to Wells Fargo if I wanted it cashed. He was difficult to understand because of his thick accent. By his tone and disgusting demeanor, I can only conclude that he's a racist and doesn't like Mexicans. I grabbed my check and went to the Wells Fargo right down the street and cashed my check. I mentioned the incident to the Wells Fargo teller and she told me they always cash each others checks without a problem. This confirmed my suspicion of this Racist Teller at Bank of the West. Latinos avoid the Covina Citrus Branch of Bank of the West at all cost. I have since closed my account. Good Riddance! They should rename the Covina Citrus branch and call it the Bank of Racism!

This is the worst banking experience I've ever had. I went in to simply cash a ck. The ck came from a bank of the west customer thought it would be easy to cash. Walked into 110pm and my ck wasnt completely cashed 240pm the system went down, the signer forgot to sign her last name, went straight back bank now closed had to go thru drive up window waited another 35 mins teller laughed. Manager Mimi is no help, tracy rude and laughed at me after all the waiting I did. Long story.....I will never ever go back to this bank in my life.
