My wife and I were stuck in Hilo,HI with a tire issue and could not find the wheel lock socket anywhere. I called Steve and, with his direction, was able to locate it, saving us several hundred dollars.
Steve has been servicing my wife’s previous and present BMWs for about 20 years. He knows what he is doing with respect to BMWs and provides her with information about what the issues were with her car and what he did to address the issues.

Steve is direct and to the point. Porsche repair is not a business for him but more of a passion. Work done right at fair rates.

The owner Steve is the most arrogant and rude mechanic I’ve ever met. He is the only person at any business to ever treat me with such disrespect. He interrupted me multiple times mid-sentence only to talk over me and tell me how much more he knows than I do. You are correct that you know more about air cooled cars than I do, but it might be useful to get some background on a 30+ year old car that has a long history of work done to it. Steve then went on to tell me he is doing me a favor and I should just not talk. I am a paying customer. You are providing a service and I am paying you hard earned cash for your work. This is not a favor. He pulled my car from the lift and told me to leave without telling me what he had done to my car and did not take payment. I was kicked out of a car shop for trying to talk about MY car. Unbelievable.

MY first visit to DE Jung Motorsport. Steve diagnosed and repaired leaking spark plug tubes on my 1999 Porsche 996. He also identified and repaired leaking axle boots. Steve is direct, honest and fair. A wealth of Porsche knowledge, listen!Services: Steering & suspension repair

When I bought my first Porsche 3 years ago I was looking for a mechanic in Sonoma County who was meticulous, has racing experience, and REALLY knows the brand. Steve is just the guy I was looking for. He's thorough, honest, and I love that he's doing the work himself as opposed to having other mechanics who may or may not pay so much attention to detail doing the work. I will happily continue taking my car here!

Who ever takes the calls for the business needs to chill and pick up the phone in an professional manner. Just cause you having a bad day done mean you talk to a customer in a messed up way.

A real douchebag. If slow and inconsiderate as well as acerbic, inappropriate and irresponsible is your thing, he is your guy. Find someone good who actually wants to help.

I have been coming to De Jung for years with a problematic 986. At this point, I'd be surprised if the bulb on my check engine light doesn't just burn out one of these days with all the codes this car has had since the day I got it. My saving grace is Steve at De Jung. He always gets me in quick for a diagnostic(often times day-of!), gives me a recommendation, and doesn't pressure me at all to go one way or another. He a genuine guy and it's obvious when you talk to him. Plus, there are always cool Porsches around to look at whenever I have to stop by.

The owner is a pretty busy guy, and very knowledgeable with Porsche. I recently purchased a 2006 911 Carrera. We spent some time in the vehicle, test driving it. Then he put it on the lift for the inspection. I felt Steve was very trustworthy and I will bring my car to him again for service!

I've known Steve since High school and have had a professional relationship with him for decades. He has always been sincere, straightforward and keenly on top of whatever automotive service or repair malady was afoot. We have all been around Yelp long enough to employ the W***** meter when negative reviews ensue. ( Like JD's). I always wonder if the negative person's last 15 minutes were spent lambasting a restaurant for having their places settings not to their liking, or picking the wings off of flies, well, because they can. Sure, there is most definitely a need for the world to know about poor service, bad food, ad nauseum. On the other hand, a Troll's a troll. Bottom line is, Should you have a Porsche or BMW, deJung Motorsports is the place to go in the North Bay. My experiences: Steve's one sharp cookie when it comes to these automobiles, and he'll do his best to service your car in a timely fashion, for a very fair price. 2 Thumbs up !!
