I have been living here for over a. year now and this place is probably one of the best gated community around this area. I m glad I found this hidden paradise right at the end of the 19th St, so close to the Santa Ana River trail so I could bike to the beach in 3 miles!! The whole complex is well maintained pretty much every week. I love that the pool is right in the middle of the complex so you don't really have to walk far to the pool. I live in the top floor and I love that I could see the pool right from my balcony, it's like a resort style. This place is pretty quiet, definitely not a party place, it's like after a night of partying at nearby Triangle Square and bars, you want to come home and unwind. Their Studio is great size for one person, 2 person max since there aren't enough storage space and the kitchen is pretty small, good that I don't do whole lot of cooking, just give me a microwave and a air fryer and I am good to go!! ha haa I love that they don't have carpet floor anymore, it's so difficult to clean. I love that their mailbox is inside the complex and not the outside so no one could steal our mails, that's the thing people should consider when looking for an apartment. People love to steal mails now and days. I also love that you can use your app to pay for the washer and dryer inside the Laundry room. Although they only have 5 washers and 6 dryers,I rarely have any issues fighting for a machine. The only thing I didn't like about this complex is they don't have any guest parking inside the complex, street parking outside is very limited, your guest might have to park a block down by Whittier ave. Overall this is a great place to live in for a single person up to small family. Although the price is a little high but it's worth it

Not so modern and luxury, but it's truly comfortable here. Incredible location with a river and ocean nearby - a dream place for cyclists and beach lovers. The internal landscape design is also very inspiring with a pool and green trees.

I lived at Westlake Village Apartments for almost 2 years from 2019-2021. The apartment complex is always maintained and has great amenities. The pool and public areas are clean and peaceful. Laura is a great manager and is extremely friendly and responsive. The only downside is that they do not recycle at all - it was a pain accommodating this! I definitely recommend living here.

*** UPDATE REVIEW**************** I don't even know where to begin on this review yes some will see this as me being a disgruntled tenant complaining now that I know longer liver and I can see how that could come off that way but I encourage you none the less to read my entire review before considering renting from this place and make your decision. I also feel that for the health and safety of others considering renting here its important to read this review. I rented from Westlake Village for a total of three years. Some time between when I went to bed on Christmas evening and the following morning my apartment had flooding throughout. Granted I know it had rained heavily that night that doesn't mean I should wake up with puddles of water and my carpet saturated. I got up early and since it was dark had thought my dog had an accident and I stepped in it but upon flipping on the lights I realized there was a huge puddle of water but not a sign of it leaking down. My dad and his gf were visiting so I woke them up and said something is leaking, upon everyone getting up we discovered I had water throughout the entire unit. I immediately called the emergency maintenance number. My living room area rug was completely saturated I still couldn't find a place it was leaking from and my ceiling had not one drop of water on it. I will say that maintenance came as fast as they could and did what they could to fix the situation at that time given it was the holiday and everyone was on vacation. They walked around with a little machine and assured me there was no moisture in places we could not see. I was told they would bring in fans and talk to the leasing manager with how to proceed. For three days I had my carpet tore back half way and slept on my couch as my bedroom was a mess, I had to pile everything on my bed so they could rip the carpet back. I complained that I was not sure where the water went and that I would prefer to have new carpet installed, that was the begging of my problems with how they handle things. I was told NO they would not replace the carpet but that they would cut out the half padding that was saturated and place a new piece and tack down the old carpet. It was extremely upsetting and till the day that I left that bedroom always had a musty odor. They refused to have the unit tested for mold and fought with me about how quickly mold grows. I wanted to have a mold inspection done as I was concerned with the amount of water in my unit. Not to mention once my neighbors heard and saw what was going on I found out from the previous renter who rented a different unit that this unit had flooded when he and his gf rented it and it was never mentioned to me upon signing my lease. I'm on a single income so coming up with the money for a mold inspection while trying to balance all my other expenses was tough, it took me a couple of months to get it done. My new lease was due to be signed by 05/15/2020. The mold inspection company came out and tested every room and even swabbed a questionable spot behind my bathroom vanity. Within twenty-four hours I had my results and they did find mold. I sent the results over to the leasing manager and they disputed them. I paid $950 of my own money and they explained to me its normal to have mold in the bathroom... yes in your shower I have had that happen when I lived in my parent's house a little spec I can wipe away, but my results yielded mold spores in the air. I have included my results of the test below as to what the apartment received. I told them they were free to have an inspection their own done and if see If they yield the same results. They had a man come in and take photographs he was there all of 5 minutes. I don't know how you can inspect mold spores in the air and behind my vanity without a long swap like the other mold inspector did but ok. After going back and forth with them they finally decided they could have someone come out and cut a small hole to see if it was in fact in more than the area tested. By this point, I was concer

My boyfriend and I lived in Westlake for a year. The community is warm and the leasing manager, Laura, is incredible! Time and time again she would be responsive and incredibly helpful. We always felt like we were in good hands and have nothing but fond memories of our time at Westlake
