I haven't been in a Vons since the 80s and wasn't expecting much. Wow..nice vibe to the place, clean,well stocked and very friendly staff.
However, the exterior could use a facelift.

This review is for the seafood/butcher station. Sunday I went in to get some fish and the clerk made sure I got the freshest salmon cuts I could get. He was very friendly and even went to the back and front freezer to check if he could get a better piece for me (I didn't even ask or realize). Anyways, he a real one (didn't catch his name).

This Vons, for the most part, is not great in customer service. But I did want to say I had great customer service from Jill. She saw me right away and asked if I needed help. I appreciate it greatly, especially when I've been many times with workers and managers passing right by me and never asking if I need any assistance while at the customer service desk. 5 stars for Jill, negative stars for the store.

I'd like to compliment Seema Sharma, the Ready to Meal Lead, for the excellent service she provided me with. It was my first time ordering a deli sandwich and Seema not only made it quickly, but she packaged it great. And, it was the "best sandwich" I ever had. It's obvious that Seema is committed to providing exceptional customer service.
