I just purchased a used Smith Corona Silent. I love it. They moved the store to a building right next to this building. it's just 1 minute away by walking. The person who helped me was very attentive and helpful. Thank you. I can highly recommend this store to anyone who wants to get started with typewriting.

I have been a manual-mechanical typewriter collector for many years. Most of my typewriters require some type of adjustment, repair, cleaning, and tender loving care when I purchase them. As my machines are very expensive, and many of them I use on a daily basis, as a part time writer. I would not entrust this service, just to anyone. I have been using Type-O-Meca also for many years, as they are experienced and experts in the necessary repairs that are sometimes required. Their service and support is outstanding, and I always come away with a typewriter that is in better shape than when I bring it in to them. Andrew, is the owner of this fine facility, and he provides a service and support that is friendly, honest and sincere, in his relationship with his customers.

Cory and I have been customers for at least 3-4 years now if not more. Coast Vacuum and Sewing does an excellent, quality job. They put their heart and soul into their hard work and charge a fair affordable price. Everything is excellent! We take our 3 vacuums there for repair and they fix them to genuinely help us save money from having to buy a new vacuum. We get our house carpet cleaned by them! Highly recommended to everyone we know! Thank you, Andrew!!! From one business owner to another, love your customer service and work ethic, positive attitude, and wish you all continued success!! My 20-year-old Bernina sewing machine decided to start jamming every few inches at the beginning of a very big church banner project. I took it to Andrew, who suggested a thorough cleaning and lubricating (it was way overdue) before diagnosing the problem. Got the part, got it fixed, and the best thing was that he had me try it out before leaving the shop. That was a welcome new wrinkle! The machine is now humming along, and my banner project is now ahead of schedule.

I was pleasantly surprised when I heard from Andrew at Coast Vacuum and Sewing via Yelp, that he wanted to exchange my old vacuum for one that worked. I had paid $101.32 to have the switch repaired and my Hoover still did not start at all now and my grandson had surprised me with a Bissell. The Bissell Cleanview Vacuum had very powerful suction. It was great on floors, but too powerful for the velvet couch. I requested the following: a small appliance for delicate items like my couch, and a partial refund. Andrew replied that he had such an appliance. I returned to Coast Vacuum and received a Riccar Gem which they showed me how to use. It seems gentle enough to clean delicate items. I also received a partial refund. So, now I am reporting my satisfaction via Yelp.

Don't pay BEFORE the service is done. My service never even happened. 4 weeks of waiting and no phone call. Wow. So bummed. Want my money back. Doesn't even deserve one star. Well. Shame on me for giving them money.

This place is a real scam. Told me they did ribbon replacement on Smith Corona. When I got there they said it would cost $18 for each machine. But when I went back to pick them up it was $70. I noticed the ribbon was wrinkled and was no longer two toned (red/black). The guy said we don't replace the roll but wind ribbon on the existing and they don't have black and red. Also, when I got home and tried it out the letters were very pale just like when I took it in Also the keys were sticking. I realize it is old and the keys need cleaning but that was always easy to do. They wanted around $300 to clean the machine. Seriously?? I would never trust these people to do anything again. Poor quality ribbon. . .what a waste of money. Really slimy liars. I would give them a minus if possible.

They were great had my fax repaired I think it's Chris was the technician he explained everything to me it was my fault I was using it wrong they they politely showed me the proper way to use it thanks guys your the best!!!!!!

They repaired and serviced an old powered carpet attachment on my Hoover. I received great service and a fair price from this shop. The owner and his staff were very courteous and thorough. I would certainly return in the future!
