This place is NOT an animal shelter! They refuse a kitten that I found.

I am extremely disappointed and appalled by the treatment I received at Priceless Pets on August 29, 2024, and again on September 9th, 2024. As someone with extensive experience in animal rescue, I expected better from an organization that is supposed to support the care of animals.
After rescuing five kittens from a friend's apartment near South Coast Plaza and receiving explicit approval from Costa Mesa Animal Control to bring them in, I was met with hostility and unprofessionalism from Cindy, a front desk staff member at Priceless Pets. Instead of receiving support, I was called a liar, sketchy, and even a trespasser. Cindy informed me I was no longer allowed to bring in animals under my name due to the false accusation that I had dropped off multiple animals before, which is completely untrue. Outside of this situation, I have only ever brought one other animal to them, a 13-year-old cat whom I later adopted and cared for myself.
When I began questioning how this decision was made, I was called very disparaging names. I was flat-out refused when I asked to speak to someone in charge. The level of disrespect and discrimination I experienced was appalling, especially given that Priceless Pets is contracted with the city to handle situations like this. Cindy's attitude was unnecessarily rude and unjustified.
To make matters worse, I have always supported Priceless Pets through donations and supplies, but after this experience, I no longer feel they value the community or the work individuals like myself do to help animals in need. The unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and outright rudeness—specifically from Cindy—need to be addressed. I hope that I can finally make contact with the supervisor of Cindy to address this and understand what the point was of treating me in such a manner. Cindy was dishonest with me, and I know they keep security video, I hope her conduct can be reviewed, and they can see I was unfairly treated.
I sincerely hope others don’t have to go through this, but I will no longer be supporting Priceless Pets.

I would not adopt from the Costa Mesa Priceless pets. I am sure that there are so many wonderful pets there that would love and deserve forever homes, but the people that work there are misleading and do not care about the safety of the animals and families. My family went there when we were desperate and emotional from the recent loss of our dog. They knew what we just went through. We asked to see this one dog we saw online. They told us that in the past he had one small incident with a male but nothing to worry over. We were okay with that and decided to adopt him.
The dog hates men. My father was afraid to be in the same room with him. When we brought him in for training he lunged at the trainer’s young son. We went back to talk to them, and they told us that they know the dog really hates men. He has had issues with the male volunteers in the past.
My family, except for my dad, loved this dog. They were devastated over having to give him up. /I feel like they used us and stole our money. The manager working there was cold and heartless and denied the fact that we were lied to despite just the other day another worker told us about the dog’s issues with other men. I am afraid they will put him with another family that should not take him. The dog deserves a good home, and I do not believe they will take the necessary steps to make sure he has the right one. I do not recommend adopting at the Costa Mesa location. I don not know anything about the other locations.

We found a dog along I-15 while n our way down to Newport Beach from Utah. My wife helps run a local rescue here so when we saw the dog on the side of the highway we had to stop and help it. It was on the doorstep of death. We watered and fed it along the way to Newport. Once we got there we reached out to Priceless Pets Rescue to see if they could help and or take the dog is (we could not keep it at the place we were staying). They took the dog in for us, waived all fees, and nursed him back to health. They sent us updates on how he was doing. Amazing rescue. Friendly staff. Highly recommend them if you are wanting to adopt an animal.

It’s a neat and clean pet place, very well maintained and run by so many dedicated volunteers and staff. Pets are very well looked after and don’t seem to be residing here for a long time before being adopted!

I love volunteering here! All the staff are so friendly and I'm so excited to be a part of this no-kill shelter. It is a very organized and clean environment which is a great way to get these sweet animals adopted.

Absolute amazing people volunteering their time, love, and effort into neglected and lost animals. We are so glad that Costa Mesa has started this work effort and that no one is left behind. Thank you

We just adopted our second pet from them! It's the best addition to our family!!! They are working really hard to make it work and it must not be easy, and I must say they are doing a great job! All the pets seem well taken care off and staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend. Adopt don't buy!
