Diana and Peter helped my grandpa and me with picking our shoes and she was fantastic , She took her time , and also this location has a treadmill which is fantastic because you can test out the shoes before you buy them! , This is the only location I will be going too ! - Thanks Diana and Peter you Rock !

It's needs to be said, THIS IS A FRANCHISE LOCATION. Meaning this isn't new balance, it's classified as a Snail's Pace. I had bought a pair of shoes here maybe 2-3 weeks ago and the shoe started to fall apart. I took it to the location I bought it from (HERE), I had my receipt and everything and the manager REFUSED to help me. Explained that if I wanted a refund I'd have to go to the website and talk to customer service. I then decided to give the location in San Clemente a try, and the customer service there was flawless. They understand that I had purchased a pair of shoes from the Costa Mesa store, and decided to take care of me and give me an exchange for product that they had in store. They actually had the same shoes too, and... IT WAS CHEAPER. IF you want stellar service and awesome customer service, I would drive down the 30 minutes and visit the San Clemente location. Don't waste your time with this fake location.

Worst shoe-buying experience ever. I had been looking for a extra pair of casual athletic shoes and preferred the light comfort provided by the New Balance brand based on past experience. Unfortunately, though the store had only about one other customer and three employees, the employee who helped me was very brisk, curt, and rude in manner. I had barely been able to peruse the items on display when he suddenly approached and rushed me to provide a model and size. He was very impatient when I walked around to try them on and watched hawkishly--but it wasn't as if I was going to walk off with them! When the first pair didn't work out, he persistently asked for another model and size just so that he could move on and be done with the sale already. He was unaware and disgruntled to answer my question about available promotions, which is a normal part of any shopping experience. Overall, was extremely unwelcoming, though perhaps that was the point--to politely badger and hound seemingly "low potential" customers to leave the store ASAP. I won't even begin to mention the racial undertones of this experience...only that the store largely served white clientele... Anyway, the terrible experience pushed me to buy shoes from the Nike store upstairs with efficient and very friendly associates.

This is my second time here in less than two month's. I bought a great pair of 990's last time. This time I bought my son a pair of 940's for school. Thank you Maddie and Peter!

Maddie was super helpful in helping me find a shoe. We went through my whole foot analysis on this technical machine that shows you a 3D version of your walk and arches. After we found out my foot dimensions she was quickly able to find me the shoe that would best fit my needs. She also allowed me to use the treadmill to see if I needed more support based on my running performance- she used the iPad to film it in slow-mo to get an in depth look. At the end she found me the perfect shoes and I couldn't have been more sure about my pick. Thanks so much Maddie!!

I had an unfortunate experience at the south cost plaza new balance. I walked in and the store had about 8 people, it was difficult to tell who was the employee. One employees had a “man bun”, running shorts and T-shirt. Later identified a second employees that was helping a gentlemen try on shoes. I de tidied the second employee when he stood behind the cash register. I asked if he was busy or helping someone. He raised his voice at me, told me he was busy and to wait. I was shocked at how rude he was. I needed néw running shoes and waited. He finally came around to help. Again he was short tempered and seemed bothered. I told him he did not have to be so rude. He brought out the shoe I asked for. He did not assist in trying on the shoe. He did not suggest any other options, I asked for socks. I asked for information. He barely made eye contact. I mentioned a Previous running shoe ordered online due to COVID. He was not helpful in explaining to the return policy or asking to help with return. I called new balance that same evening to. I’m plain but it was closed. I like the running shoe I use but I would not want to deal with this particular employee again.

My mother went in to return a pair of faulty shoes that were worn once and immediately fell apart. Diane the store manager asked for the receipt and my mom said she didn't have it but had her debit card she purchased them with and asked if they could look it up that way. The store manager Diane said no and told her to go get her bank statement to show proof she purchased the shoes. We left and came back with the papers she had told us to get. She then said no they wouldn't refund my mom and to have a nice day. As we walked out she mocked us by yelling again "Have a nice day!" Diane is rude and a horrible store manager. And she puts a bad rep for the new balance store in Crystal court. Have a nice day Diane!!

I came to this New Balance Store on 06/19/2021. I was looking for a new pair of running shoes. As I broused the shoe display, Maddie (a sales representative) approached me and asked if I needed assistance. Maddie is a runner and was very knowledgeable. She graciously explained the do's and don'ts of running shoes. She brought out no less than 7 pairs of 990V5 shoes in different sizes, colors, and widths. I bought a pair of the grey 990V5 shoes. These shoes are very comfortable and stable. Thank you Maddie for your help!

I have been buying all my New Balance walking shoes from this store since 2009. The associates have been generally very helpful. I changed shoe style to the 940V after buying the same model for the last 8 years. So far the new pair seems to be doing well to support my feet in spite of my plantar fasciitis. I can walk without orthotic inserts. Another great discovery is Diana the sales associates. Very Patient and Very Helpful!!

I would say that this store is okay because it's medium sized doesn't have much selection, and I had to go and return my Mother's Day present because they didn't have a selection that you wanted we tried a different one recommended by the employee but it was a no-go. It wasn't his fault he did a great job but just the store doesn't have much selection for women's slide sandals maybe in the future and May reconsider going back

Big, spacious show room. Not as many shoes as I had expected, but the staff were nice and not pushy. We did have to walk around in circles to find the store because South Coast Plaza is just huge. Across the Garden Bridge and on the floating second floor. Super cool area to walk to from the main mall.
