Worst place .. turned away my dog that needed attention .. Their excuse was they close early on Friday .. If you are looking for a non-compassionate non- caring vet then this place is perfect .A guy came out and said there were no vets there and they were all out .. What you are vets that make house calls? When he told me they close early it was 2PM..they close at 4 on Friday ..Simple math tells me you had 2 hours to see my dog ...Who ever this guy was is a nothing but a LIAR SHAME ON YOU YOU ARE WORSE THAN BAD ... Animal haters

Quick appointments! Lots of other places in the area can't take appointments for WEEKS. Everyone here is also very very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend prices are fair as-well. Thank you guys for helping both my fur babies with their allergies! I have two Boston's who were miserable from allergies and were scratching like crazy each one received a shot and within 2 days like a miracle both have completely stopped scratching. We had tried so many different things. Even spending triple at another location for an unsuccessful band aid to the problem. Thank you guys very much.

We have taken both of our dogs here for care and can not say enough positive things about the staff and the service provided. Whether the procedure is serious and invasive or routine and minor, Mesa West is the premium care provider to entrust with your pets. Businesses like this are making the world a better place.

I wanted my pup to have the best care and I'm so happy I found Mesa West! I was staying in the OC area for a bit so I was looking for vets around there but I moved back to the IE and I still drive an hour to come here. That's how comfortable & satisfied I feel about this place. All of the staff I came across are super friendly and helpful. They have amazing energy and provide great information. Thank you for taking care of my Hokkaido! Highly recommend this place :-)

Dr Lepera is a wonderful vet and her whole staff (especially Yolanda) are so kind and helpful. I ended up at Mesa West because of an emergency when my previous vet would not see my dog nor would two other vets I called. I was so scared but Dr Lapera was there for us and said "come right in" which are the words you need to hear in an emergency .. not "sorry we are closing in five minutes- good luck." Three times now Mesa West has seen my dog in the same day and helped us. We love them!

We were visiting the area from out of town. Our dog got into some nicotine gum. We called around to several places for advice and most seemed to give frantic responses that would have lead to thousands of dollars in care. The front desk here listened the best and clearly consulted with the Dr. to relay the most reasonable sounding and calm response. I couldn't believe how professional they were compared to the others. Having a very well trained team clearly is evident here. Upon arrival our dog was taken care of right away. The Dr. came out and explained to us the options and her opinion. You could tell she was very intelligent. Blood was taken and we were also made aware of another issue with our dog we could take care of when home, so that was definitely an added bonus of their detail to care. Overall we were met with the most professional and best care. We are home and our dog is fine. But if we are in the area again, Mesa West Pet Hospital is where we will be visiting for dog care. Thank you so very much!

Dr. Lepera and her team are wonderful. They listen, take conservative approaches where possible and explain fully what is going on with your pet. Dr. Lepera had a lot of patience with my fussy dog who hated going to the vet and wasnt shy about showing it, and she took great care of him at the end of his life.

We cannot recommend Mesa West enough. Prior to coming to Mesa West we were patients at another local Newport Beach vet. For months we struggled to get appointments when needed and receive basic care. Our breaking point was when our dog was sick and in critical need of care. We were unable to get in at our old vet and desperately called Mesa West. From the get go Mesa West was caring and accommodating. They got us in the very next day and delivered superior care for our pup, even calling to follow up on his status. Over time this is just one of the many amazing experiences we have had with Mesa West. Dr. Lepera and her staff are simply the best. We are so grateful to have found them for our boy Wally!

They seem to really care about the animals. The office staff is communicative & responsive. The veterinarian has followed up with us personally via email on issues. They bathe our dogs as well. It's been 2 years and we've been happy with their care. We have a German Shepherd, a pit bull and a Pomsky.

After a fecal test completed at Mesawest my dog tested positive for Giardia. However I just had surgery and am unable to drive to the vet clinic. When attempting to figure out how to get her prescription it became an impossible task. I reached out to other nearby vet clinics and all of them requested that Mesa West send over their prescription and Mesa West refused. Additionally, Mesa West refused to send the prescription to an online delivery service. The only thing Mesa West sent us were her test results, which are not enough for other veterinary clinics to complete a prescription. When asked their suggestion was that I drive post-surgery. When that was not an option they suggested I send my primarily caregiver.I used to travel an hour to Mesa west because I liked their service. I was committed to this pet hospital. However, upon telling me that my dog needs medications and I am in a situation where I cannot pick them up, they offered no solutions. After a year, they were willing to lose us as clients because I could not drive because I had literally just gotten out of surgery.

My husband brought my 3 yrs old female cat Cali Spencer to this Mesa verde West pet hospital. On Nov 2 for urinary infection. They gave her a shot and a couple cat can food and charge my cat for $349.00 ok the bleeding in the urine stopped after 6 days my cat urine is bleeding again. Is a waste of money coz my cat is not treated good. My husband brought my cat today Nov 9 and charge her again for $329.00 that's a reep off. They should not charge my cat again coz she was not cured and treated supposed to be. I'll ask my bank to waive the charge again coz I'm not happy fir tge treatment.

Does the DCA and the Veterinarian Medical Board need to hear about this along with the County? Wow. What a day at the animal shelter... This place has a staff that is not warm and welcoming. I was infuriated for a reason when the nurse grabbed my dogs head in front and put him in a headlock while he had the muscle on. My dog looked at me helplessly as I told the nurse you are squeezing him and to stop and she didn't listen. My pup also has seizures and when oxygen is cut off they should know this. There is a reason I am not aloud back because I cursed at them for how they treated my dog. I did curse. Who wouldn't when your sweet dog is looking at you for help. This is going to be reported since they are now playing victim for abusing my dog? Wow. Class act.

Took my dog to this place because she was throwing up and having seizures..they kept trying to push an MRI and other tests and refused to give her fluids even though my dog literally needed fluids because she stopped eating for weeks. All they seemed more interested in was racking up the bills to charge for this and that... After I came home and gave her the medication they gave me for her...she went downhill within a day. We had to put her down 2 days later They also charged me extra for 3 different tests and they never even sent me the 2 other test results even after I called for them. It's too late now since had to put my dog down This place is horrible Heartless people
