Mesa Performance is a valuable resource to those with older BMWs in OC. Jim has some inventory but deals mostly with ordering parts, which he can get very quick at competitive pricing, even compared to big retailers like Pelican and FCP. Jim is a character and a fountain of knowledge when it comes to part selection and advice.

Been going to Mesa for a long time and my share of bimmers 5, 7, and 8 series. Mesa Performance is the last of a breed... squeaky wood floors, parts everywhere, old cat on the counter... and Jim.Jim is very knowledgeable and courteous, and can be at times chatty. Smiling here... Jim is cool and knows what he is talking about. Year, Make, and model might help... and listen.

I had a damaged oil filter canister on my 72 Bavaria 3.0, and needed to get it back on the road in a week in order to participate in a grueling 1200 mile rally through Northern California. Jim suggested a replacement from a 78 530i... slightly different design, but workable. I received the parts, they fit perfectly. Did the rally, the Cal Melee.. three days and we did every extra optional route, all the dirt options as well... and the car performed perfectly. Drove it hard and not a drop of leaked oil. THANK YOU to Jim and David Stansfield! Great knowledge, perfect solution and very reasonable price! Excellent!
