Ordered a light which arrived open, in a badly damaged box, missing pieces, and evidence of use/scratches on the finish of the light. The manufacturer had to send replacement parts and the store never addressed the fact that they sent me an open used light.

We purchased a new outdoor pendant that came with a glass part. The glass arrived broken. We opened it a few days after their damage notice policy and they refused to assist in any way. We paid for a fixture that is unusable and their only offer is that we buy a new one from them. Very poor customer service. Shop elsewhere. There are plenty other retailers who sell the same products.

we ordered a chandelier, we were notified it would not be available for 2 1/2 months so we canceled it the second day. They said it was canceled. Three months later it shows up. And they cannot seem to figure out how to return it to them. It is the worst Customer Service I have ever experienced - ever. i'm not even sure if Grady O'Brien is a real person. If he is, he's the worst representative ever.

Terrible customer service. Two employees "working" and we were only customers in the store. Completely ignored. Their products looked high quality, but we walked out.

Ordered a light online and was checked out with email order confirmation-now just sit back and wait for it to arrive. 2 days later, I get a suspicious email saying the order was cancelled, due to 'no fraud' with a shady link and email. It all seemed odd. When I called them (after 3 unreplied emails I sent) they said it got declined days later due to 'no fraud'...what? On the call I asked to just run the order again, using a different card maybe? and honor the first sale and price-they said they could not, what?? So I went to the site to just order again, now the light is $300 more bucks! I contact them again, to honor my original price, they would not. Seems shady, very unimpressed.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, just horrible! Ordered 2 wall sconces and need to return them because transformer mounted on the outside of wall bracket, I have a shallow wall box on older home, just won't work! Called them I need to return, told me I have to wait for approval, no email received confirming return, no approval received, been waiting for a week, nothing! Complete BS. STAY AWAY!

This place is extremely unprofessional! My husband and I walked in there a few months ago looking for outdoor lighting and we put in an order for fixtures with the manager there named Glenn three months later, after charging us the full amount two of our pieces never came, and we still have not been refunded They have ghosted my emails and calls and our drove me now to possibly send this as a dispute. Awful

Loved the product but I loved their customer service even more. Ann Marie was super prompt and polite with addressing all my questions and concerns. Def will order from them again in the future. Than you for being so helpful!

I never received the chandelier that was sent to me- their team was super unhelpful. Sales rep was GREAT, super friendly... her name was Reshma.. but I could never shop at or recommend Lightopia to others given my approximate 2800$ loss on a chandelier that was LOST at no fault of my own...or delivered to the wrong property at no fault of my own.. I still feel sick about this situation.. the beautiful gambit 19 chandelier.. there was no reimbursement or replacement offered by their team.. I spoke with Annette Pyles, senior manager of customer service who was inconsiderate, unhelpful and showed the least bit of empathy for a sensitive situation. She cc'd Ryan Dixon, AnneMarie Gagnon, Corey Rothgeb, John Trotter, and Reshma Madnani in her emails and told me to contact the police. I contacted the better business bureau regarding this situation and they (we) are still waiting for lightopia's response for over 2 weeks. I encourage the public to submit claims on the better business bureau website when running into similar issues/situation and to alert others on these public forums in hopes that they don't take advantage of their customers. Shame on you Annette, shame on Lightopia for this! I plan on updating this review below if their team makes this right OR responds to the BBB engagement. If this post is not edited, it means their team never responded to me or the BBB. Avoid this company folks!

We ordered a light over a month ago and it shipped to us broken. We had two different electricians try to fix the issue so that it could be hung, to no avail. I've now contacted the company four different times to either get a return or the part to fix the light. This is not a cheap light (at $500) that we still cannot hang and no one is answering me about returning it. Buyer beware.

We have walked into this store now twice to find a long multi pendant light for our tall entry way ceiling. Nobody greats you when you enter, my husband and I would really have bought something here if they would have at least taken the time to talk to us. Mind you we were the ONLY customers in the store. Don't bother with them, go to LightStyles instead where they at least give you some professional service. All in all they missed out on a 3000$ budget potential sale, their bad!

Started with first when ordering my chandelier I spoke with Julian at the Costa Mesa location he placed my order over the phone. I remember specifically asking about their return policy because I was nervous about the size of fixture I was ordering. He reassured me multiple times that I could return it no problem if it didn’t fit. After waiting for some time I was looking for the estimated time of arrival and pulled up my receipt and noticed it was for the wrong color light, I called him back and explained him the situation. Asked to cancel the first one and reorder the correct color, he said sure I figured I’d be out of some time that I had waited but it’s not a big deal. Fast forward, I received the correct fixture a month and some change down the road. Then a few weeks after that I received the first light that was the wrong color. It was never cancelled and I was charged for a second chandelier costing $1,500+ It’s been over a month later I’ve had it and dozens of emails and phone calls later and they have only apologized for not having any update for me. They’ve told me they’re waiting for a shipping label for OVER A MONTH. Completely unreasonable after the sales associate made the wrong order then failed to cancel. Got the feeling after you make your purchase they just don’t care, they got the sale. I would like my refund.
