Came here and they promised a refund now I can’t even get customer service to write back and no one is helping me I haven’t had the items for almost 2months and they are the worst to deal with me they won’t even answer you back or give explanation.

I went here months ago and they tried taking my card info manually when making a purchase so I left I didn’t trust it. before Christmas I came back and for some reason they needed to use a different machine since there’s didn’t work so I made the purchase the guy asks me to leave my info I told him no and he said it would be easier for them to process a return. I then left the next day I find out someone tried to use my card down the street at an atm to withdraw money . Mind you I don’t even live in the area I’m about 2hrs away I come back in very upset they tell me leave the clothes here I contact management they say corporate is in San Francisco they will call them and process it but I will need to come back or call next day so I do that and I speak to the manager who says they agreed to give me the refund even though it’s not policy she just needs the card details . So I said no I just had fraudulent charges and needed to change my card I need another way so she says she will figure it out and I had to keep calling in even though I made an acct so they have my info she instead leaves without calling me and when I call has an employee tell me there’s nothing they can do only store credit . I call the next day and she says contact corporate online which I have done atleast 6 times where they say they will give me a response within 24/48hrs and have received nothing.The craziest thing was the employee denied with a straight face that he said I would be able to process a return. Don’t come here.

In all these years of living in the United States and Canada, this is the first time I have encountered a store that does not allow returns. When I bought it, it didn't say it was final sale. I just bought it and found out I bought it wrong, but I can't even return it on the spot. Can only be replaced. I don't know if this complies with US law, I can only say that it is a very poor service experience.The address is 3333 S coast dr, the store in south coast plaza.

My family just experienced the absolute worst customer service based off nothing other than prejudice. We had not checked reviews before visiting this store but now understand the consistency of rude, outrageous, indecent treatment others experienced as well. It was the older Asian lady who clearly stated in her native language to the younger Asian male clerk something about the condition…as the shirt was coming out of the bag. Please see attached photos and you let me know how reasonable their concern was. #wrinklesRegardless, it is an unfortunate representation of a horrible hiring decision if the reviews have been this consistent for this length of time. It was my 8 year old who held up the sign at the register to the store clerks and set them straight but the one male clerk was unhappy with our justified displeasure of service who said he would not refund it, all while the older lady who started the problem stood by watching him. It was not ethical of him to say he wouldn’t exchange the shirt by any means. Whilst my husband called mall security, I called the store manager and switched the call to FaceTime so she could see the “condition” #wrinkles. She called her employees and they promptly processed the exchange. Wholly unnecessary. Micro aggressions are real and this treatment was intended. Mind you, we were within the return period AND the shirt had never been worn not even a try on. We merely held it up to our child and realized it wouldn’t fit. Regardless a whole fuss just to exchange is ridiculous. It is easier to go directly through Designer or online retailer. As a Founder & CEO I’d suggest to store admin to do some statistical research on money spent by demographic and invest in cultural sensitivity training across the board because everyone works in some way for money spent. Save your time, and your dime on this one.

JUST HAD THE WEIRDEST STORE EXPERIENCE IN THE WHOLE WORLD.... I almost never leave bad reviews but I literally had no choice this time. I came in to exchange or get a store credit for a gift I just received for my baby shower, I wasn't aware there was a receipt in the bag so I just gave the sales associate named "JIANAN" the box that had two brand new Kenzo baby onesie outfits inside. They were literally taken out of the box once to look at during the baby shower, So I wouldn't be rude to the person who gave them to me but I don't buy or but my baby in that brand so I knew I was going to go to the store as soon as I could to exchange or get store credit. As soon as I gave JIANAN the box he took out both the items that were clearly brand new with all tags still attached, They still even had the fold creases. But even then he proceeded to take one of the onesies and look at it extensively, Then he opened up the bottom part where the babies private area/ butt is and STUCK HIS WHOLE FACE AND NOSE into the onesie where the private parts go and then brought it back to the register table.... Not only was that the weirdest, Grossest thing I've ever seen, He then sticks his hand into MY SHOPPING BAG that had my other items I came in with from different stores and starts going through my receipts that weren't even for this store.... Once taking them back and looking into the bag myself for a receipt, I pull it out and hand it to him and he then tells me it's past the exchange date and there's nothing he can do... AFTER HE STUCK HIS WHOLE FACE AND SNIFFED THE WHOLE BABY OUTFIT. After I let him know what he did was absolutely unacceptable especially after he's now telling me I have to take this outfit back home, He threatens me not to get him mad.... He starts shouting and telling me I better not get him mad a bunch of other things I can't even tell you because it continued while I was walking out of the store...Their sales associate is disrespectful, Weird, I'm guessing perverted and literally threatened me. I know he probably would have acted different if my husband came in with me, But unfortunately for me I went in alone and had to deal with being harassed by a male employee alone. I literally cannot believe they have this person working at this mall, Especially this store. Me and my family always come here to buy gifts and spend so much money and we've have never had to exchange or return anything before but I'm grateful for this experience so I know to never give them my business again. You're better off going to Nordstrom or somewhere else. They have a return policy and a longer exchange policy as well, Which is needed especially when buying baby clothes and gifts.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I had a horrible and traumatic experience with Kids Atelier, the Costa Mesa location. I came in intending on making a simple item exchange. I received a gift for my 5 month old baby and wanted another item instead. The tags were attached, the store has unique yellow custom bags that I brought back with my exchange, the items were clearly unworn and also in season because I saw them at the front of their store for purchase that day. I did not have a receipt and was told that without one they cannot do an exchange, but if I provide the name/phone number it was purchased under they'll try to find the receipt. I gave the information and nothing came up. Lindsey, who is the rep who "helped" me said that if I could get a picture of the receipt she can accept that. I had the purchaser send a picture of the receipt and this is where the problem began. Lindsey tells me that it's too blurry. She admitted that she CAN see the items listed, the purchase date. (Which was 2 days prior) Also visible was the store name, location bought, rep. who made the sale, method of payment used and the total. She still refused to make the exchange because the rest of the receipt was blurry. Keep in mind I never wanted money back, only to exchange. I asked Lindsey to call her manager, who was not in the store. He advised her to call IT to help find the receipt. ( I later was told by someone else in the company that the manager had authority to do the exchange with the receipt I provided but he obviously wanted to make this experience as difficult as possible for me) Lindsey called and spoke with the rep who made the sell at the other store for the receipt but she didn't remember the sell and couldn't provide it. I called my aunt who called that same rep at the other store and got to the bottom of it. That rep. had IT call Lindsey because Lindsey never called her. At this point my aunt and I are speaking about how inconvenient this is for me as a customer. Another rep in the store with me proceeds to butt in this issue, responding to my aunt and I having our private conversation. At this time I told her that I can't hear them both at the same time, while thinking wow that was rude of her, especially her tone. Immedietly Lindsey called the manager back (Alejandro Renteria) and tells him that now I'm being aggressive. I hadn't yelled, cursed, or been aggressive AT ALL. This offended me immensely. Because I didn't allow her coworker to cut me off and butt in she decides to call her manager to gossip in front of me; again, horrible customer service. The IT rep was Silvia who walked her through the steps to find my receipt in their system. She finally does the exchange but still couldn't provide me with a receipt showing my new purchase. She claimed that I could wait longer for her to do so (but I'd been their for at least an hour and I had an appointment and couldn't stay) She emailed me the receipt hours later. I was so upset and wanted to speak with a superior. I emailed
[email protected] for the email/phone # to speak about my experience. This was 3 days ago and I haven't gotten a response. So the resolution I need is to speak with a superior and not be ignored. It's also important for me to display my experience publicly and expose the horrible customer service they provide. I've already filed a complaint with the better business bureau and will make it my business to file publicly everywhere that I can.

My husband a few days a go purchased a jogging suit for my unborn baby, when he brought it home I opened the bag and tried hanging the pants and I found a few stains on them, ( I have no other babies my youngest is 9 years old, and my hands were clean) I went to the store where he purchased this and 1 of the managers said while raising her eyebrow and looking at the employee that they would not sale something like that and and that the items were used and made me feel like I was lying she was extremely rude and declined the return.Sunshine the employee there was helpful and being very nice to me, she even contacted the other manager or her boss im not sure who she was texting to help me, but the manager there at the store was super rude.DO NOT RECOMMEND this store I still don't understand why my husband purchased there in the first place. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I just left the store crying. My husband bought my daughter a beautiful dress for Christmas and it was the wrong size... by four sizes, she couldn't even put it on. They were unwilling to exchange for the right size and I left the store crying. I know that my daughter will be so sad. They have terrible service...I recommend never going there.
