“My home away from home. I love the Ayers. From the moment you walk in the door till the moment you leave, you are good to go here. The staff is friendly and kind, the rooms are lovely and the restraunt serves amazing food. I've been there 4 times now, and if they keep doing what they do, it will be my only consideration. This place defines success in the hospitality industry.

I will warn you that it's close to a small airport. You will hear airplanes take off all day and evening. It's not horrible but it is very noticeable. Thankfully, from 10PM to 7AM they stop. It had my attention the first time I stayed there but now I don't really notice. It's manageable. Even with that, I would call this the best hotel in Costa Mesa. Well done team. Well done.”

“Flew in from ATL for a new job. Stayed here amazing staff everyone was friendly and smiling. I came in on the happy hour time frame. Food was amazing , room service is phenomenal. I loved the Belgium waffle fresh , fresh, fresh. The gym is nice as well , walking alone the pond area is nice . Nice walk , wish I could have fed the fish and turtles though . That would be a bonus the fish do come up to when your sitting on the steps . Nice area”

“I've been going to this hotel every week for about 2 months now to see my lady and every time it's been amazing. Javier works the front desk and the lady that works the bar(can't remember the name) has ways made sure that my time there was immaculent! Will be returning next time I'm in town!”

“Thank you to the amazing staff at the Costa Mesa Marriott. Had a 6 night stay and left some valuables in the safe . . . the staff was able to secure the items and I was able to pick it up the following day. Thank you all for your professionalism and honesty.”

“This place is a little older than most hotels. But I do enjoy the layout of the hotel and amenities. You get a lot more space than your typical hotel. There's a good gym with a water refilling station. Breakfast was surprisingly good. The eggs were still liquid eggs. But they cooked them well so they weren't thick sponges. TVs weren't working the first night, but they refunded it. Great service and convenient location.”

“I have to give a huge shout out to Norm at the front desk. Our flight got canceled by Alaksa at 9:48pm, they told us there was a reservation for us at a different hotel, by the time we got there, that hotel said they were at capacity and turned us away.

I looked up hotels close to John Wayne Airport and found this Best Western. I called to see their availability since it was 1130pm. Norm answered and was just starting his shift he told me they had a room available and took my information over the phone. We arrived in the next 30 minutes and he got me all checked in and took a weeks worth of luggage up to our room so I could carry my sleeping 7 year old. He told me to leave the luggage cart outside the door after I unloaded it and he would come back up for it. The cart was gone in the morning. I only got 5 hours of sleep thanks to Alaska, but Norm got me a taxi to the airport in the morning and was just so friendly and helpful. I was at my breaking point and he helped me get through it with a smile on my face.

THANK YOU, NORM!!!! You were truly the most friendly, helpful person in this debacle and I so appreciate you! ?

The rooms and lobby were clean and well taken care of. I would highly recommend staying here.”

“Nice premium and clean hotel within driving distance to Downtown LA. The staff are nice and they greeted me with a smile when I checked in. The beds are comfortable and I slept well on them. But there’s no microwave in the room and you have to call the front desk to request it.”

“Love this place, reasonable prices and clean & quiet.I posted that a while back and we are here again for 3 days, it's always a wonderful place to stay. Always our 1st choice when home.Rooms: Good size...Nearby activities: A bit of everything for everyone...Safety: Lock your car and make sure you don't leave your doors open...Walkability: Close to alot of places to eat, shop and drink... it's Costa Mesa for christ sake people.Food & drinks: Various varieties to choose from... there's a diverse selection.Noteworthy details: It's a very nice place to visit or stay when you're in town and to be honest... it's more reasonable than any other place around. It's clean, the rooms are better than good size, it's close to shopping and entertainment, there are good bars and various restaurants to choose from that are within a short walking distance and it's quite. What else can you ask for... Really. ??”

“This place is easy going and fun and has amenities and is centrally located to quite a few places. There's plenty of restaurants and nightlife around easy to stay entertained or get all your shopping needs done in the area. Also this place is more like a apartment then a hotel. Totally not luxury however you get what you pay for and it's a good bargain especially for extended stays.”

“Very friendly staff. They work hard to keep the place clean. Our room always looked nice when we got back from our daily activities. The pool and hot tub were open for use but we didn't use them. The place is old, but isn't falling apart yet so it's not the worst place to stay. I'm used to YouTube TV so having to use some old cable tv system was below average. The bed was ok. Not super comfy - hadn't slept on a spring mattress for a while. Made it work. We did hear people pounding on other room doors a couple of nights. Loud enough to wake us up. Not sure what that was about but I guess you could get that anywhere. The A/C unit in the room worked great, as did the mini-fridge and the microwave. The motel was close enough to the beach and the other venues we attended during the weekend that travel was quick and easy. We took the money we saved staying here and spent it on food and gifts for the grandkids.”

“I've always loved this place! Each one of the staff is kind and perfectly attentive. They've always been very accommodating towards any requests or needs I've had. Whether that be an early check-in, a late check-out or just some extra pillows, it's made painless and always with a smile.Best of all, the rooms are GINORMOUS!!Only thing I would change/add is a laundry room!! But laundry or not, this will always be my go-to local hotel.”

“The staff is very intune with good customer service including assisting me with extending my stay at a very low rate for two days. The rooms are clean and up to date with wi-fi that exceeds over 100 mps. For abut the same price as a stay at Motel 6, this is a good value for your money.”
