I cannot begin to describe the service I received from Jake and Buzz! I was in the area for a conference when my car just died. I was in a parking lot with a car full of luggage and supplies. AAA came out and tried to jump it to no avail, then couldn’t get the car in neutral to put it in the lift, I had to be somewhere at 5:00 pm, I called the shop and Jake coordinated with AAA to wait for the car (after hours). I Ubered to my hotel, from the parking lot, Jake kept me in the loop the entire time. The next morning Buzz called to tell me my car was ready to be picked up. I Ubered during lunch and met the guys in person, these are two of the nicest, most honest mechanics I’ve ever met! They made what could have been an awful experience, stress free.I highly recommend them for all your car repair needs!!

Just wanted to drop a best review and to say a big thank you for the excellent maintenance service and for ensuring my car was in top condition. My car feels so good now! I am truly grateful going to this mechanic place; such an exceptional service. Thank you so much Jake and Buzz! I highly recommend them (they’re super friendly!) and Honda Acura Service in Costa Mesa to anyone in need of automotive repairs.I will certainly be returning for all future maintenance needs for my car.Keep up the awesome work! This gem of auto service is what every town in the country should have. I have been bringing my vehicles to Buzz and Jake for years now. Their ability to diagnose the problems is remarkable. I'm consistently surprised by how inexpensive their service is. I was regularly charged $1,100 or more at the dealer and other repair shops. These honest service professionals don't charge any more than is necessary to bring my cars into peak working condition again. My favorite feeling now is when I send others to get their service done here and they thank me profusely for the honest, efficient and quality service I have been enjoying too. I won't be going anywhere else...

Buzz and his son Jake take good care of my and the cars I bring in to fix. Before I purchased my latest car I brought it to them. They checked it out thoroughly and let me know everything wrong with it. Buzz and Jake helped me dodge a bullet. Then when I finally found one I liked, they serviced that and found out it needed new brakes. Buzz is so pleasant and funny. They are knowledgeable. Best of all, Buzz treats me like he would treat his own family. He believes me when I say there is a problem, and make sure the problem is fixed before returning the car. They do good work, at a trusted good price. Recommended local business. Thank you!

Jake is an excellent person, who cares about the people who come to him for service. My teenage son was in need of emergency services when he was driving my Honda Pilot from AZ to CA, and it started having issues. I called Jake prior to my son arriving in Costa Mesa and explained the situation and told me to have my son drive it right over to him. Jake took the time to check the error codes and sent them to me in AZ, cleared them, and then took the pilot for a 20 minute ride (just past closing time) to see if the codes would reappear. I was prepared to have my son leave the car overnight as Jake said he could possibly fix it the next day, which is Friday. Needless to say, I’m at the mercy of the car expert since I’m in AZ and have to take there word on what they believe the issue to be. We’ll, the error codes did not reappear and the transmission worked as expected. He gave the car back to my son and I was so relieved to know he had a car to return home in without issue. Jake said he’d even do some more investigation on the one time error codes and reduced speed issue and let me know if it’s something that needs to be checked out further. All this at no fee! Jake knew we were in need of immediate help and didn’t hesitate to help us. He could of easily told me something needed to be fixed as I wasn’t even there, but he us too honest! If I lived near Cost Mesa, this business would be my new go to auto shop! Thank you Jake so much!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

About 2 or 3 weeks ago I made an appointment to have them check the rear brakes on my 2019 Honda civic. They were great. A bit far out of my way coming from yorba Linda but I'm glad I did go. Tue reason I went there was the dealership, in the town I just moved to,told me I needed rear brakes. I thought it was a bit old 3years/20k but figured they used the bottom of the barrel pads. Well this place told me I had at a minimum 70% pad left. So no work was need though they checked all my fluids and air in my tires and added some air. They only charged me 40 bucks which I felt was worth it. Only problem is there is no where to hang out so you jave to walk around till it's ready unless you have someone that can pick you up but I'll be back for sure

This place is a joke. The entire experience was bad the moment I stepped in. I had made an appointment with Jake 5 days ahead, but when I arrived Buzz had no idea and when he called Jake in he said he "vaguely remembers" speaking with me, even though he had taken a moment supposedly to write down my name, phone number, car's make and model and issues. Jake also said on the phone that they have so many cars coming in, so he can't guarantee he'll get to my car but to go ahead and come in. I thought it was going to take the whole day but he got back to me after 3 hours. After the bad experience, I'm sure he said that to make it look like they're popular and respected. My car's issues were random weak/slow starts, rough idling and delayed engagement when shifting gear positions (like from Park to Reverse). I had no check engine light on. All they did to check what's wrong was to run an OBD scanner and test drive my car, and their conclusion was there are no issues. If I had known that's all they were going to do, I would've just taken my car to AutoZone to have someone run an OBD scanner. I was willing to pay them to inspect my engine parts and see what's clogged/dirty and just needs cleaning or what needs to be replaced, but they were unwilling to do so and Buzz even got angry that I didn't accept their conclusion. On the phone, I asked Buzz if they checked the transmission fluid (my car doesn't have a dipstick for that so I thought maybe they have a special tool), and he sounded surprised that I would ask that. First response was "Probably, probably" and then he asked someone and turns out they didn't. Next, I asked if they checked any engine parts that would cause the slow start and rough idling issues. He starts getting angry and said since there are no codes coming up there's nothing to go by. Oh yes, there is. You can check the usual culprits, like a clogged fuel injector or spark plugs that need to be regapped. Sure it's going to take a long time but it's not impossible. Because I'm a girl, he thinks I don't know about these things. I emphasized at least twice, the symptoms have been going on for several months and they've been getting WORSE. This is not normal. He starts laughing and said I could go to the dealer and end up paying for a bunch of repairs I don't need, and then he rushed to hang up. I arrive to pick up my car and we get into the same argument. He keeps repeating I could just go to the dealer and get ripped off but I know they're on the same team. Guys like him are just using a different tactic. I've been here before. They lie about your car having no issues so that they will get worse, resulting in more profitable repairs for them. Don't ever let a mechanic tell you car vibrations are ok. It's going to get worse and prematurely wear out other parts like motor mounts. For a second, I considered getting my transmission fluid changed there but with Buzz's attitude, poor customer service, and zero work ethics I do not want him servicing my car. They completely wasted my time and I recommend you don't take your chances here.

I've been using Buzz for years for my 2014 Honda Civic and I could not be any happier. Honest, timely, and thorough. I also love that he specializes in Honda cars so I know that he's up to date on my car, issues people have been seeing, and important info being released from Honda about these cars that I may not know of yet.10/10 recommend for your HondaServices: Tires
