Mrs Paige Fountain sold me a new door for my garage and recommended me a great contractor named David Wall. Paige Fountain was a pleasure to deal with. Would Highly recommend.

I placed an order for 15 gallons of paint ceiling paint from the Benjamin Moore line, and I tell them that I'm going to need 15 more gallons next week and 45 gallons of wall paint for this project, the girl in the paint department confirmed the cost of paint, I show up the following day, she's trying to charge me 100.00 extra per 5 gallons bucket of paint, I tell her that I have a paint account and I have set prices, she says that is the price and she can't do anything about it, I tell her to call Simon the guy in charge of the paint department, she tells me no she can't call him. I call another Ganahl lumber and ask for prices on my paint account, they confirm the price I'm telling the girl at the paint department, I tell her and she says no, there's nothing I can do about it, so I tell her that I get way cheaper prices at their competitors and she says we'll go to them then, I ask her are you sure?, she says yes go to them, completely smug, I leave and call the competitor put in the paint order drive to them and purchase my paint from them. I call Ganahl lumber today to speak with Simon to explain what happened and he's not having it, he's more concerned with me still picking up the paint because they're going to lose 1,000.00 in paint, I tell him you're loosing way more than $1,000.00, now I'm not going to buy that paint, the rest of the ceiling paint $1,000.00 , and the 45 gallons of wall paint $2,700.00, Not once did he apologize for his unprofessional girl at the paint counter, a simple "hey I'm sorry you had to deal with her, please come in let's figure out how we can take care of you, let keep doing business together and move forward", nothing like that at all, he hung up on me and that was that. Hey Simon have your girl pay for that paint!!

Outstanding !!! Flora Gonzales greeted me with a smile and was so helpful and knowledgeable. Flora took her time and helped me find the most AMAZING Anderson door . I had contacted 2 contractors and they informed me Anderson did not make the door I was looking for however Flora REALLY KNOWS the products regarding doors and windows and found the exact door I was looking for within minutes. She is AMAZING. Ganahl Lumber is very lucky to have such a knowledgeable and professional team member. Thank you again Flora for all you did . Carol W.

The staff inside the store have always been very helpful and friendly. The staff in the lumber yard however can be very hit or miss. They'll act like you're wasting their time when you ask them to bring something down from a rack with a forklift.

For a $3600 residential order, Liz promised delivery for 9 am-12 pm Monday morning, but needed in person payment of the ticket. Paid in person next day, but still confirmed with whoever received payment for 9 am Monday morning delivery.We scheduled additional labor to receive the order, and begin work.At 10:30 on Monday morning, Liz called and said the order could not be delivered AT ALL on Monday, apparently because she didn't do what she needed to do the previous week to order the delivery.Upon rescheduling, Liz said, "I'm sorry this happened." But did not take responsibility. In fact, she tried to make it sound like it was our fault that she didn't enter the delivery. ????I have sent my workers home, and now must try again with a new delivery date. A major hassle for me, but not for Liz. Or her manager, or Ganahl.This is not how to retain customers-- but maybe they don't need small long-term home re-modelers like me.

I came to Ganahl Lumber to get some information for a deck project I am working on. I stepped to the lumber counter and spoke to a Rick Dwelly, specifically asking about prices of deck boards so I can make an informed decision. Not only was Rick completely unhelpful, but his attitude was toxic. He offered zero options or ideas, told me he can't help me until I pick the board I want, and then talked down to me for coming in thinking they have a list of prices available for the customer. How d*** of me to think that Ganahl lumber would have deckboard prices available for customers!I'm not sure if Rick was having a bad day, or Ganahl lumber just doesn't care about projects that are only a few thousand dollars. Anyway, there are enough lumber competitors around I will not be spending a dime of my money at Ganahl Lumber on Bristol in Costa Mesa.

I came here just to look around since I drive by it all the time. I found a couple little things to buy, but wasn't looking for anything particular. They have a good selection of fasteners, including a lot of stainless, which is primarily what I use. The best thing about this store is how well organized it is and how clean it is because they keep all of the lumber behind the store in a lumber yard.The only reason I'm leaving a review is because I saw a few bad reviews saying the customer service was horrible, and they couldn't get any help. I had a very different experience. I was asked if I needed any help probably 5 or 6 times in the 15 to 20 minutes I was there looking around.4 Stars instead of 5 because I can't remember seeing any good deals or sales.I will be coming here again when I need hardware or wood.

Our door arrived with a chip and this is what the sales person Flora says. Avoid Flora. Manager Vincent immediately says how good his employee is. BE AWARE! AVOID FLORA for doors. She doesn't respond and when she finally does it is passive aggressive.

Blake was really great he helped me out was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and polite and I really appreciate it, seriously I probably asked him about 11 questions, no joke! Ganahl is a great place, and Blake won't disappoint, he was a wealth of information ☆
