I've been coming to Fitness Authority for 7 years. What a great gym. It's got a "family" kind of vibe to it. The environment is outstanding and it's light years away from the sterile 'corporate' feeling of the big gyms. The owner, Bernie, is fabulous. He takes the time to talk/chat, offer advice, and constantly check to make sure you're doing well. You simply will not find a better place to train. I'm incredibly fortunate I found this place and I have no plans to leave. Ever.

Extremely lucky to discover Fitness Authority during Covid! I was made to feel welcome immediately. Whether you are trying to figure out how to exercise or you know your way around workout equipment, you will enjoy the atmosphere. The staff will meet you where you are... that's the beauty of this place! Coming from a large corporate gym environment, it's nice to get the warm family feel I got from Bernie, Fred and Karen alike. I highly recommend you check it out for yourself :)

I am 2 weeks in to working out again. I was referred to this gym by another friend. My experience thus far has been nothing short of amazing!! From the owner to my trainer Fred!! I've been working out my entire life and was sidelined for an injury for 2+ years. Fred listens to me yet pushes me. He is kind, polite and funny. I am super happy with my choice and everyone at this gym is welcoming and treats you like a family!!

I have trained at fitness authority for over 6 years. I think of the people there like family. It is a well run, clean and has excellent trainers offering flexible hours to accommodate people's busy schedules. It's a small, family owned business with easy parking which is important to me. Bernie takes great pride in his facility and the personal needs of his clients and trainers. Fitness Authority has some of the finest and most dedicated trainers in Newport Beach. I love this private gym. They also have a beautiful welcoming committee, the family dog. Five stars

I actually haven't ever been here, but I was pleasantly surprised by the owners when I received a note in the mail containing my lost driver's license. My wallet was stolen and apparently the thief dumped my ID in front of their gym. Really nice that the people here went above to get my ID back to me. Thank you. I really appreciate it!
