Came here to get a tattoo in 2020 didn’t realise tattoos aren’t supposed to feel like huge scars until a tattoo artist I went to recently for a new tattoo told me it is not supposed to feel like this and that the artist went way too deep and it’s blown out. If you’re not comfortable with fine line or lettering you shouldn’t accept the job. If I ever wanted to get this removed i couldn’t since it’s an elevated scar. Sad to see after all this time but glad to know not to come back to this shop!

Gold Rush was great! The people were nice, the artists really listened, and their hours are super convenient. I was in SoCal for just a week’s vacation and my guy worked me in twice!

Got my first real (machine) tattoo here and I'm in love. Came in as a walk-in today (Friday) and they were able to get me in on the spot. Super friendly and welcoming atmosphere and the woman who helped me at the front was very knowledgeable and helpful. My artist was @onelungjustin and he made the entire experience as painless as a tattoo can be. Incredibly professional, great attitude, and an even better artist. He talked me through the whole process ahead of time and made sure I knew exactly what I was getting before getting to work. Felt super comfortable and relaxed the entire time and the end result is amazing. Highly recommend this place and will be back very soon.

This happen almost a year ago I based the place where I wanted to get this tatto done on yelp because of the 5 star reviews, that's why I came here, I suppost to get two lines done, one smaller than the other one, it dosen't look straight at all,the lines start small and then those become bigger & bigger and then because the shape of the arm they say they look like that,but to be honest this is not a professional work now that I did my own research,theres nothing we can do now too late and the price that I pay its not fair...

This review is in regard to lack of transparency with pricing - my partner and I were completely ripped off on 2 nickel sized fine line tattoos earlier today. We called ahead and were quoted a $100 minimum for the tattoos. While the artists and tattoos are good, the store was not clear that it was $100 each for the tattoos since they were done by separate artists. The tattoos took 15-20 minutes each and rather than having us go to the same artist they set us up with different people. The pricing / transaction seemed shady and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Thanks!

Pass by shop every day so decided to check it out and see if I can add another spot to my collection. I describe what I wanted and the receptionist goes back and forth and tells me the price will be $150! I was shocked and I asked again if she said $150 and she confirmed and that I had to put a deposit towards it to book my appointment and to note that if I miss it and/or not call to advise I am arriving little late I will forfeit it. I am cool with that and wait for the day.I get there, the guy that does the tattoo seems chill and gets to work. A lot of beautiful pain to get something I wish I had the balls to do in my early years. After the job was done I was ready to pay but he gives me a different number. He comes to $375!!!! I was not happy and struggled a bit but just decided to just pay (since I didn't bring the paper that said the price I basically screwed myself there or else I could get arrested. I liked the artwork but not for that price. This is why I asked.Lesson of the story, take a picture of the quote you were given and when your appointment comes, double check the price that you agreed. If they come back saying differently, dispute it and don't be afraid to stand your ground. You can say no that's not what you agreed and they may threaten that you'll lose your deposit but you have documentation that the price was quoted differently (Hate being a Karen/Kevin but video record the conversation and have them repeat the new price they are giving you and take them to court.I know I should have done these steps but my phone was dead by middle of job, I didn't have my paperwork and I was not expecting to be ripped off in the last minute so hope that this works as a PSA.

big shoutout to justin for the 3 sick tats he provided just for me walking in! everyone was so kind and was great to get along with if you wanna find someone you can trust and get to know! just moved here from indiana, and heard multiple amazing reviews about this place and chose this location to be my first tats in california. i really appreciate everyone and helping me with my images! thank you guys for making me feel incredible about my tattoo decision!!!

My overall interaction was great...until it came time to pay. I was more than happy to pay the ATM fee but the atm was out of cash...I included the tip with my card and they still charged me extra.Service: Tattoos

I was referred to Colin Dowling for a tattoo about eight years ago. My father had just passed away and I felt like a lone wolf. He did a phenomenal job on a small but intricate finger tattoo of a wolf's head. He created the design and I loved that it wasn't a sad wolf but a freaking feral beast. I had been warned that finger tattoos don't always last since your hands are more exposed to the environment than other parts of your body, but it lasted and it's in there. Fast forward to the present time, I had moved out-of-state due to my mother's passing and decided I needed a touch-up because I'm really a lone wolf now. Colin is highly sought after so I had to make an appointment well in advance before flying out. He still remembered me and was as kind and delightful as ever. I am really happy with his work once again and I would recommend him or any other artist in this shop.
