I have been going to Dylan Blue Costa Mesa for 2 years now. I am getting married a week from yesterday, and requested Holly/Xuan for my wedding nails because she’s done beautiful nail art in the past. I was initially very happy, but after leaving the salon, I realized that the base coat was too sheer and you could see the space between the white tip and my nail bed. I called and made an appointment for the next day, today, to try and fix it. She made me text her photos of the nails (you can clearly see the issue), said she wouldn’t be able to fix them without completely taking them off and redoing it, which she refused to do. I suggested we do a line of silver glitter to fix by addition. While I love how it looks, she made rude comments the whole time she was fixing them:“You’re spending so much money on your wedding.”“You have to fix your skin before the wedding, you have pimples. Your makeup is too sheer, you can see it.”“I like your old hair color better. You can tell when you’re tired and not taking care of yourself.”“Your husband is going to have a hard time with you if you want everything perfect.”I realized she was feeling defensive, so I calmly responded: “I have one day where I can at least try to have everything perfect, so if I can fix things, I will. This was a lot of money.” I spent $90 on my GelX set plus a tip (tipped her additionally today for $30 total.)Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I recommend you do the same. Nobody should be spoken to like that, least of all a bride a week out from her wedding. I have enough stress and nonsense to deal with without a nail tech berating me.

His & hers many pedi is so relaxing. The aroma of the therapeutic leg & foot scrub smells and feels awesome. We both fell asleep for a little while. Days later he said it's the best he's ever had. His mani still looked wonderful. I got gel so I expect it to stay on & it has.

I went in hoping for a great new nail place close to home. They were super sweet and helpful, until I was the last person in the salon. They didn’t rush me out but I felt uncomfortable. I usually get gelX but it was really expensive there ($20 more than my usual spot) . I got dip instead and went with short nails.. was suppose to be $45 but they charged me $10 to take off my geoX. They didn’t tell me until I went to pay which makes me uneasy. Regardless, I paid it and didn’t complain… however , now 4 days later, my nails are chipping… I got dip which should be strong but to have 3 of my nails chip on the Sadie after paying $55 plus a $15 tip is kinda ridiculous and not expected. I won’t be back. Now I have to go somewhere else and get them redone. I get my nails done to treat myself but never expected to pay double just to last 2 weeks… absolutely disappointed .

I have come to this salon a few other times but I never got any type of design on my nails before. I was kind of hesitant due to bad experiences with other nail salons but let me just say I got exactly what I asked for here! Heidi my nail tech, got exactly the kind of nail shape and design I wanted! She is a new nail tech at this location but has been doing nails for 20+ years. If you come here, she should be one of your go-to nail tech! Thanks Heidi & Dylan Blue Nails! Will be coming back for more!!!

Don't let Holly give you a manicure. Hands down the worst manicure I have ever had. She butchered my nails and cut the majority of my fingers. I will not be going back to this place which is disappointing because the location is super convenient. Holly spent the entire time talking to the person giving me a pedicure. She cut my nails way too short and wasn't paying attention and nicked 7 of my fingers.

Not worth the money. Left my nails jagged and in 10 different shapes and sizes. Ended up scratching and cutting myself because my nails were so bad.

Holly did a full set for me. While they looked great and lasted longer than any other chrome I’ve gotten elsewhere, she made my fingers bleed on more than one occasion, filing my skin instead of my nail. Overall a painful experience. Also pretty pricey, 20%+ more than I pay other places.

Overpriced for the quality. $60 for gel acrylics. I initially thought it was $40 but apparently the gel polish is $20 extra. The sides of my nails are super jagged and the filing was so aggressive it made my middle finger bleed. Will be back at Bonjour Nails. They do a way better job and better priced.

I have been coming here since they opened. I have had great care. I encouraged my family and friends from the neighborhood to come and they have been coming here since they opened. However, things have changed. I usually have "L" do my mani/pedi's. I was told she cut her aviability and another manicurist was recommended. OK - works. I can go between them. "L" has a limited schedule that does not always work with my schedule. The front desk suggested another person - they were great and worked when I could not connect with "L". Two weeks ago I scheduled with the recommended manicurist and "L" verbally attacked me in the middle of the waiting room yelling at me that she did not want to take care of me anymore if I was going to go to another person. I was stunned, embarrassed and humiliated by her barage. I am a good tipper and very much appreciated her efforts. I tried to explain what happened - but she was on a rage. The owner observed the scene and quickly escorted me out of the lobby to the outside. I am certain it was more so a "scene" would not evolve than her care of me as a customer. No apology just excuses for "L's" behavior. We all go to a salon for R&R and personal care. There is something wrong here that a service employee can verbally attack a customer without any repercussion. I am not saying fire her, but certainly a discussion on customer service and the lost revenue since I will not be back and will spread the word for others to be careful here. I did not know that the salon staff "owned" a customer. So sad. However, there are at least 20 more salons within a 2 mile radius that I will explore. J

I've been coming here for awhile but after today no more. I use to come for both gel mani and pedi but I have a girl who does my nails and is amazing and I come here for my toes. My girl is out of town so I needed to come here to do my nails. My gel was lifting on the sides and the girl doing my nails had a hay day with it, she even got another lady who said "this does not happen to my customers" uhh yea my nails have totally lifted here. Then the lady made a fuss over my daughters nails. I informed her that my daughter had tips on a few nails with gel over it, well that to was an issue. They literally had an issue with everything. I ended up taking the foil after my nails and walking out. What ever happened to customer service? The chic was making faces, just awful.

My manicure was just ok. It seems if you want just a regular mani ( not a gel) they are less than enthusiastic about it. This girl put a tiny drop of lotion on my hands and massaged my hand for maybe one minute each hand. She didn't even take my watch or rings off. I took my watch off and she seemed annoyed. At the end she didn't offer a fan or lights to help dry. I watched her offer water to two other customers but not to me(?) It wasn't the end of the world, of course yet still was odd at the lack of attention. I tipped her but left with a bad vibe for the place. If you have a prob w regular mani's just don't offer them. Another thing and this is just an observation, it happens in almost ALL salons. When they massage your hands or feet they NEVER look at what they are doing they go out of their way to look away or watch another persons conversation to the point they are staring at the other people, like they are sooo concerned ( or nosey) with what the person is saying, even though they are not talking to them, meanwhile they are rubbing your feet in the same place over n over. Lol What's up w that?? Maybe massaging feet is the worst part of the job, I don't know but it IS part of the job. I am a great tipper and I would never leave nothing. I would leave a lot more $$ for a job well done that's for sure and I would also be a returning customer. Not the case today at Dylan Blue in C M.
