I would never take my expensive car to this shop , ask your old parts back , and make sure genuine parts are used , it was not in my case . Pay a little more but to make sure your car is well maintained and repaired, that’s all l am going to say . Read the bad reviews ideally they are the honest ones not the ones his friends and relatives posts .

Dimas Bolanos the owner is probably one of the most honorable Henderson worked with. I’ve brought my 5+ cars to him for over the past 15 years everything from oil changes to major mechanical work and he’s always been honest, had great integrity and does excellent work. His guys are great. He runs a fantastic shop - highly recommended.

I had taken my car here before and they did a great job. I came back the second time as a repeat customer and the owner was such a jerk had my car for over three weeks until he decided that he didn’t want to do the job because it wasn’t enough money for him so he told me to come pick up my car. He brings me the keys send me on my way when I get to the car the batteries dead and the front tire is flat I do not recommend this company. The owner is very arrogant his name is Demis Not sure what happened to him or why he’s being the way he’s being, but I’m gonna take my business elsewhere

Coast auto has my HIGHEST recommendation. Best mechanic in Orange County by a mile. Dimas and his brother run an honest, reliable, detail oriented, and well priced shop. They are giving with their time, and honest with their work. They will never undercut you or add work on your vehicle for their own benefit, as 90% of mechanics do. You can trust these guys fully with your vehicle and wallet, knowing that they will not price gouge you and do the best work in town.

Been taking my car here the last couple years or so thanks to a recommendation to a friend. Dimas is one of the most honest guys I met working with cars. He's always willing to answer questions. He'll take videos and show you the cause of the problem. He also can help sell or buy cars as well- he's a genuine guy that explains things with good info that is relevant.

Referred by my friend, I received my car restored because of the work done that went above and beyond my expectations. Dimas was thorough and reasonable. The body work and brake job for my 2007 Toyota was outstanding. It looks new again!

My Jaguar got a problem with the engine water liquid. I could not find any trustworthy auto repair. Most of them just wanted money when they saw you drive a luxury car. Fortunately, I passed by this area one day and found the Coast Auto repair shop. At first, I was concerned about their repair specialty and business reputation. I thought to myself, just try to see how they work. They advised me to let them check the problem with the car. If I do not want to repair it, I will pay the inspection cost, about 75 dollars. However, after they inspected the car's problem, how they explained it to me made sense, and the price was reasonable. I decided to hire them to fix my car. My car works well so far. I highly recommend you this auto shop.

Best experience all around! Quick appointments, excellent communication and the most incredible waiting area with Pool Table, complementary snacks / ice cream station, coffee and beverages. I had brakes replaced, and damage fixed from an attempt to steal my catalytic converter ... pricing was excellent, car wash and amazing service. Special shout-out to Jack who handled all the details from start to finish, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly with timely status updates - my new go-to for all vehicles and maintenance needs!!

If I were to write a short review, I would simply state that I would trust Max and Dimas with any car for any task. One of my colleagues suggested I have my BMW serviced there one day when I was complaining about how high the dealer charged for repairs. That was about eight years ago. It is true that the shop not only works on and restores exotic sports cars, but they do simple repairs on all sorts of vehicles. They also restore and resell used cars that they fix up from other dealer's trade-in stock. They are located next to their sister shop that does bodywork. They are also located next to a bakery, which smells divine, but I guess that's another story. Actually, I should mention that once I mentioned the bakery several times, the next time I showed up, Dimas got me a sample! Who does that these days? Anyway, I have had them work on my car doing routine maintenance as simple as replacing a windshield wiper to as esoteric as working on the turbocharger system and really intricate engine work. I also had them upgrade my stereo with a kit that allows me to have wireless Apple CarPlay which is something that actually has extended my tolerance for my car many years (it is a 2009 Z4 and thanks to Dimas and Max. It still is running at about 139,000 miles. Really amazing. I've had them work on the electrical system, cooling system, suspension system, and engine. To stay on the point, the most important thing in a mechanic-- client relationship is trust. So many businesses these days seem to only be about the bottom line. Coast Automotive really works for customer satisfaction. Dimas thinks through problems that might have more than one solution . The service charges are extremely reasonable and they stand by their work. They are among the highest integrity businesspeople I have ever worked with or put my trust in. I recommend Coast Automotive with absolutely no reservations. I have complete confidence in their integrity, work ethic, and their work itself. I'm a commuter. The shop is located about 20 miles from my home. I have a BMW dealership basically across the street from my work. Yet, on any day that I'm in need of auto service, I choose to take my car to Coast Automotive in Costa Mesa for service.
