This is my go to place for everything keys and locks. You pay more but trust me you get more. Example, I went to a place here locally and got keys made and guess what they not work. When I need something for my business or for my house I go to Balport and that's it!

Worked with them for over 35 years. They had THE go to store on Riverside Drive for years,and now at the new location on Old Newport Blvd., it seems the company has a new level of energy. The showroom has expanded into safes, and today I bought one. Great Service. They guys are so helpful. I had to get keys made for a difficult lock and they worked it until they got it right last month. No one can touch them. They cracked a floor safe in a house for me several years ago and they are always easy to work with and helpful. I left my credit card there like a bonehead, and they kept it for me, safe and sound. Here is wishing them many more years of success.

I was delighted to discover a small business with such positive reviews. I visited the establishment to obtain key copies and a new combination padlock. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and expertise. While the prices may be considered moderate, it is understandable given the limited competition in the vicinity. I highly recommend this establishment and anticipate future patronage.

Amazing service. They really care. Took the time to fix my current car key and made me a whole new backup Honda key on the spot! And they didn’t mind that my toddler ran around their store. Thank you!

Jason at Balport Lock & Safe went above and beyond to make a spare key for my vehicle. For whatever reason, a simple copy just wouldn't work. He took the time and figured it out. I really appreciated his work and determination. Only charged me the regular key copying fee despite how much time he spent making it work. I highly recommend Balport, great service.

I live in Europe and during my trip to Newport I visited Balport Lock & Safe asking assistance on my Dodge car that had no mechanical backup key for the radio remote. In Europe I couldn't find a company that could replace the key for me. Jason advised me to get a key ID code from a USA Dodge dealer. After getting back to him with the code he made me a key that I tested today after getting back to Holland: it works like a dream. Thanks, Balport Lock & Safe!

Went to Ace to get a new truck key and they just told me they were unable to because my old key was so worn. Walked into Balport and they said no problem. Walked out with a new set of keys for my truck and topper in ten minutes. Efficient friendly staff and from now I'll only be coming here. Thank you!

Stopped by as I was in the area. Friendly people here!I had a bent key. I knew there was a chance that they couldn't help me or that the key could break if they tried to repair it. They were very nice and made sure that I had a spare key before trying to repair my key. They were able to repair my key! It fits in the lock and works so much better now! Thank you!!
