VERY RUDE. I called to see about surrendering my grandfathers elderly dog as my grandfather is entering hospice care. She was very rude, short, and hung up on me after suggesting I just keep the dog without even knowing my circumstances. She shouldn’t be dealing with people who have to surrender their dogs, it’s a hard enough decision, especially when the elderly are involved. Do not adopt here.

Fostering to adopt two dogs from this rescue. Erin, Cindie, and Bev have been so kind and accommodating, patiently answering all of our questions and talking to us about the dogs. Like many private rescues, I believe they are volunteer-run or operate with minimal staff so there may be some wait time when you first inquire about adopting. You can tell they really love what they do and the dogs they work with, and care about the dogs going to a good home.My husband and I are POC and we didn’t feel discriminated against (in reference to some other reviews on here)

We recently adopted from A Home 4 Ever Rescue and had a great experience from beginning to end! Erin and Adriana were both extremely helpful and communicative throughout the process, and seemed to truly care for the well being of the pup who is now apart of our family. All of his paperwork, records, etc. were up to date and accurate, which helped provide further peace of mind. We couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend this rescue to any friends and family that are considering adopting a dog. Thank you again for supporting so many animals that need to find homes!

I have a true appreciation for this rescue. I found a stray dog roaming a busy street and because I already have two dogs of my own, I did not intend on keeping her. I reached out to about 10 rescues, only 3 got back to me, and only 1 offered their help, which was A Home 4 Ever Rescue. I volunteered to foster the dog and the rescue offered to help me find her a home and to help with medical expenses. One member in particular, Adriana, went out of her way to assist me and help find this doggie a home. This rescue is solely run by the kindness of their volunteers and I had a first hand glimpse of how much work it is. So the fact that Adriana found the time to help me, in addition to her volunteer work, and her full time job is truly amazing. The volunteers of this rescue sacrifice so much of their lives to this cause, so please consider donating or adopting one of their wonderful dogs.

Rescued a dog from them at a local PetSmart. Dog was supposed to come with all shots up to date. We ended up having to go to a specific pet hospital for the shots, she only got half of the shots needed and we had to come back a month or two later for the rest. When I tried to contact them about getting her scheduled for the needed vaccines I never heard back. The pet hospital made several attempts to reach them for confirmation on payment. They never responded. Long story short, I paid the $150 extra on top of my adoption fees to pay for something that was already discussed and supposed to be paid for per the contract agreement. Poor service, lack of communication, failure to uphold her end of the contract. I would suggest looking elsewhere at more reputable adoption clinics. One positive, my adopted pet is awesome and she has a happy healthy place to call home now.

We are so grateful for our experience with adopting “Braveheart” from A Home 4 Ever Rescue. The entire process from submitting the initial application, to meeting our pup, to filling out the final adoption paperwork, was so quick and straightforward. Because of this incredible organization, Braveheart was saved from being euthanized after being hit by a car. We truly appreciate Adriana and Alex with A Home 4 Ever Rescue for being so supportive and for their dedication to finding these pups their forever homes. He is the most perfect little guy and we already cannot imagine our lives without him. Thank you!!

Not open to geberal public. Does petsmart shows on Saturdays. Helpful staff, but have a pen ready for the quickfire info they'll give you

Really disorganized. So many pups need a home, and this place treats you as disposable.

DO NOT COME HERE! Erin is rude and was racist towards us. Please do not adopt from this rescue or surrender your dogs here!! Erin was very rude. My elderly friend has a little dog which due to her own health was looking for a rescue to surrender her dog to allow the dog to have a better chance in life. I was reaching out to different rescues with all information of the dog. Erin emailed me back and told me to bring her in. When we showed up Erin literally yelled at my elderly friend that was already sad and crying cause she loves her dog. There should be no reason for someone to talk to anyone like she talked to us. She belittled us. She had no compassion what so ever. I feel like if we would have be white/Caucasian I’m sure our experience would have been different.

I didn't have a good experience with this rescue. Went to one of their in-person adoption days and was taken aback by the volunteer who interacted with us ("no one wants him" in reference to one of the dogs) to the condition of the dogs, particularly the length of their nails. Basic grooming/hygiene didn't look like it had taken place, but rescue had had the dogs for months.Against my judgment we still put an application in - note, they will ask for too much info. We were told by Erin the dog's foster would call us - we never received a call. Signed onto their social media 1.5 weeks later to find out the dog had been adopted out. Emails weren't responded to. No basic human respect letting us know the dog was adopted or they didn't think we were a good fit. Ignoring people who want to help is deeply disrespectful and gives animal rescue a bad name.Overall, felt very discriminatory (we rent) and Erin seems like a fraud. Please give your money and time to other organizations. Also please be wary of their positive Google reviews - Erin Muellenberg (rescue leadership) is one of the reviewers who left 5 stars here.

Awful experience with Erin mullenberg. Unorganized and unprofessional handling of applications. Sorry for all of the dogs out of homes because this rescue can’t figure out whats up from down. Go somewhere else.

Please do not foster from here. Erin is quite literally a fraud and a scammer, and doesn’t belong anywhere near animals. Not only do they not even take care of their dogs properly until it’s pointed out, but their applicants for adopting animals constantly go unanswered and ignored so Erin can give the animals to whoever she pleases (the vet, etc) instead of friends of mine who have fostered countless animals from their partner organization for them anytime they get calls to. If the vet cared for these poor dogs they wouldn’t be in such horrible health in the first place. Completely unprofessional and a joke of a place. Foster from another organization who deserves your kindness. Hopefully someone else besides Erin can take the reigns of this place in the future.

Terrible organization. As reviewers have said below, this rescue is unorganized and not trustworthy. When looking into a group to foster or adopt please be careful about the information they give you. Erin in particular is clearly known for promising one thing and then throwing you aside when you are interested in adopting. I would expect this kind of treatment and blatant lies from a puppy mill, not an organization that prides themselves on rescuing and helping animals in need. Please do better, A Home 4 Ever Rescue - and employ people who truly care about the safety and future of the pets you claim to care for.

They change the rules and criteria as they go!!A friend of mine looked into a specific dog they required a house with a yard, ANOTHER DOG ALREADY in the home, and a person in the home constantly (amongst other requirements) they turned my friend down because she worked and would leave the dog at home (like a normal person)... other wise "she would be perfect!" But it's ok because that dog has so many other applicants - per them!Ok cool, so this dog is PERFECT for ME then. Sweet! I apply I have a house, a yard, another dog, a person that can be with them constantly (amongst all of the other requirements). I get the email wanting to talk to me (this was over a week later), I call up INSTANTLY, now they won't let the dog go unless the person taking said dog now takes another dog with it (even though I already had two other dogs for him to play with). These people are purposely withholding animals and CREATING reasons NOT to adopt them out. Don't waste your time or your love here. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.
