Saw the cashier try to lie to a customer about the legitimacy of his money. When he requested they test it with the pen for him to see, they didn't even have one to prove it. Very unprofessional.

It's a clean organized store, it has an ATM inside the store. The people working there is friendly, educated and makes an effort to assist you when you requested it.

this place will lock their doors for a few hours late at night. its not 24hrs. do not order amazon pick up here because they lock the doors after hours while the workers are in the back getting high. You will not be able to pick up your items if you work late and need to come here

Went to this 7-11 and I ordered 2 whole pizzas. The short hispanic man at the register wanted to sell me 1 whole pizza that he supposedly just took out of the oven but put it in the window to sell by slices. I told him I wanted 2 fresh pizzas and he told me that it would be 20 minutes. Every 7-11 I’ve been to only takes 3-5 minutes to heat up the pizzas. This guy was a lazy as* or he’d just rather chop it up with his buddy that was there with him (not an employee). Supposedly the managers name is Will. Will, if you’re reading this, fire him.

This location at 1097 Baker Street, Costa Mesa, CA is the one I have shopped at the most of any in my area. I come by early on Sundays around 8:30am for Rockstars (Zero Sugar, the Watermelon Kiwi, THE best!) and um...a Snickers...and I am here to give a much-deserved shout out to Judy. She is always sweet, warm smile, and super efficient even when it gets crazy (or gets crazies...not judging, it's just a fact, there are a number of street dudes here in CM and most are chill but not always...) I have been wanting to submit a review on her (and Joe, he's a nice gent) behalf because if one works with the public, one knows it can be challenging...even worse since Covid! so all the more reason we all need to take time to show support and not say we're too busy to do so...Thanks, Judy, for being a bright light in this kooky world! (and a TY to 7/11 for serving my snack-craving needs...)

Horrible place. I got kicked out for the employee messing up and I asked for a refund. I asked for two 6 lotto tickets and he pulls out 2 16's without handing them to me. Has me pay and never gave them to me until after. I get them and confused asked saying they're the wrong ones. He said "Nooooo you said 16." And proceeded to be rude. I asked is there anything he can do for refund or anything and he said no and to not come back to the store. I come here literally every single day and I got kicked out for the employee messing up. Ridiculous.

I hope the owner(s) know they have a great employee, Judy. I've popped in on Sunday mornings on my way to CdM for work and Judy always offers a warm hello as I walk in - she is always smiling, friendly and helpful no matter how many folks are in line. And, if one lives in Costa Mesa long enough, one realizes there is a small population of street dudes which tend to be hanging out, around other 7-11's and that can be very uncomfortable when one is travelling solo. The Dudes can be aggressive in and outside the stores; I mention this as I am sure Judy has to deal with the "dudes" and most are harmless but...not all of them...but it speaks to her friendly, professional demeanor that she always presents a great vibe, one that is much needed and appreciated in this day & age. Btw, this location is always well stocked with my drink of choice, Pure Zero Watermelon Kiwi Rockstar energy drinks! And, I get the 7-11 hotdog and only get them at this location...they look and taste decent :^) I wouldn't trust too many other convenience stores for food items (including the location closer to home, Harbor Blvd. & Mesa Verde Dr. -food looks old and the staff there are almost the human version of Honey Badgers...if one knows anything about Honey Badgers, there's nothing sweet regarding them). I hope Judy gets a corporate shout-out that she (and Joe, he's nice, too) deserves and next time I pop in there, I will let her know she's a shining star in this often-kooky world.

Horrible person working there tonight! I walked in to redeem some stuff with points I've gotten from frequently visiting and to also buy a few things to eat as well. Immediately the store clerk stands no more than ten feet from me just watching my every move as if I'm about to steal something, but I shrugged it off cuz I have tattoos and people do this to me all the time so I'm used to it. Then with a unnecessarily loud tone he tells me that He's waiting on me and to buy something or get the f*** out and that he need to take care of the rest of the store( which was completely empty besides the clerk and myself). I asked him why he has such a problem with me and I asked if it were my bag and then offered to leave it at the front. He tells some more stuff about the store is for buying things and it private property and what not so I got fed up and offended by the discrimination and told him not to worry any longer that I was leaving... his attitude was so nasty that I don't think I'll ever go back to this store and will tell everyone I know that goes there about this encounter and to stay clear as well so they don't get the same treatment. Sucks that people like this act this way to other for absolutely no reason what so ever
