Lunaria is where we send all of our clients for fixtures. Alia and Ian have an incredible selection of unique lighting. One thing I don't find in many showrooms is someone who understands lighting and how the piece will look and function in various spaces. Ian and Alia both understand this very well and give great advice on what to purchase.

If I could do more than five stars, I would do so. I have a Harco Lor dining-room fixture (Read expensive). Two and one half years ago my cleaning man accidentally broke one of the dozen glass parts. The salesman where I purchased the fixture tried (he said) for over a year to find a replacement part and could not do so. A few months ago I was near Lunaria and decided to walk in and ask as the store has similar items and actually carries Harco Lor. Alia said she would try and find one. She did and I picked it (plus a free one with a slight imperfection). Alia would not take any profit after doing all that checking. WOW!~

You MUST buy light fixtures from Lunaria! This duo is amazing--Alia helped me find the perfect fixtures for our home (over 10) and Ian helped with technical support and referred me to an electrician who couldn't have been better. Thanks for making the experience so rewarding, seamless and oh so beautiful!

As a luxury home builder, I've seen lots of lighting shops. Lunaria is by far my favorite. An amazing collection of brands and the nicest people. Alia and Ian even replaced defective transformers from a British supplier with days.

I was looking for a lamp for my eat-in kitchen and had been to many lighting stores in Berkeley, San Francisco and Marin. I found the Lunaria website and spent two evenings opening every link under "products" drooling over the Italian and other high end lamps knowing they were out of my budget. However many products were within range and I was very tired of looking. So I decided this was it- I was going to buy something from Lunaria. When I arrived no one else was in the store so I was able to consult with the owner, Alia. The showroom is not huge but Alia has a large video screen from which she pulled up images that she thought may match my needs. Alia asked me many questions about my lighting situation, almost like a doctor diagnosing a condition. At the same time she gave me a crash course on interior lighting which made it obvious why I was having such a hard time selecting a lighting source. She realized that my situation was not conducive to buying a definitive lighting source at this time. I was ready to buy- she could have taken my $600 (high end of my budget) and taken the risk that her recommendation would not work. But instead she advised me to go forth and buy a very inexpensive lamp as a place holder until other issues were resolved. She also turned me on to some cool websites that sold used and vintage lamps. I was pretty blown away both by her taking the time to educate me and how she chose not to make a sale just for the sake of making a sale. Later that night I wrote her this email: "Hi Alia, I just want to thank you for the time you spent with me today. You might have sold me something, anything just to get $600 but instead you educated me and then gave me your best advice and sent me on my way. I have a lot of respect for that. Thank you for your professionalism, expert advice, honesty and integrity." And I do hope to go back one day and buy one of those gorgeous Italian lamps!

Okay - I'm not unbiased in my opinion of the store however i have it on good authority that the lights are unparalleled and wondrous to the eyes. you walk in and just can't leave there is so much to see and i want it all for my house..
