With Nordstroms closing in San Francisco, this is where I go to get my designer clothes. Ted and his team have a nice mens and womens selection that you can't find in a boutique. I also enjoy their tailoring which is free if you are a Nordy club member. It is more of a regional Nordstroms and not super busy so you get a lot of attention (yes thanks Sandy for introducing me to so many new brands)

After driving an hour with high hopes, I was so disappointed . I haven't been to Nordstrom's in a few years and this isn't the same experience of the past. The store had low stock. I was looking for a wedding guest dress and wanted to try on a few. I found only 2 and they only had size 4. When I finally found an employee, I asked her to check for my size she said I had to order online to try it on. Well that defeats the purpose. I sadly won't be back. Looks to me like they are getting ready to close the store. I guess we can thank Amazon. Thank goodness for my local Nordstrom Rack, I always find something at a good price.

I was so shocked at the ladies room at Nordstrom! Filthy! Dirty floors, walls, toilets, door handles , sinks. This is NOT how I used to experience Nordstrom. What's going on? They need to fire the cleaning crew and hire those who actually care about what they are cleaning. Honestly I have seen cleaner bathrooms in Mexico! Get it together people!

Final update by department from worse to best: Customer Service- 1 star. I went to pick up my shoes. Woman was baffled that I never got an order confirmation number (as was I) but took my drivers license and found my order. I tried on two pair of shoes. One was huge, one might work. I immediately went back to customer service to return to too large pair. Different person. He refused to scan the receipt. Insisted on my phone #. He couldn't pronounce my name. Got frustrated and told me he couldn't find my account. The woman who just retrieved my order was there but he refused to ask her. Short story--if he couldn't pronounce my name or get my phone number right after I told him it FIVE times, I couldn't return the shoes. Designer dresses: 3 stars. I had just come from a hike with my dog. Frizzy hair, hiking clothes, happy dog. I needed a pastel dress for a baptism. At first I was told to look. I saw what I thought I wanted online. The trainee couldn't help me. From way back when I had a Job that required lovely clothes I remembered that the only way to get service was to pull several expensive dresses. So I did. Finally a sales person arrived. She found the perfect Missoni! She rummaged to find my size. She saved the day. She and her assistant would get 5 stars had they believed me from the jump. No one else was in the store. Designer shoes: 5 stars. The woman was fantastic. She looked at my dress, the one pair of shoes I thought were too big, what I liked that was on the floor and brought out about 30 pair to try. One pair of gray Prada were so beautiful--someone please go buy them! But I got a lovely nude color patent mid heel. Perfect and great for so many things. She exchanged the other shoes. Easy. She was a star and joy. Restrooms: 5 star. Excellent. Very clean.

Do not bother...unless, unless you HAVE to make a return. Rude, uncouth, and customer service as dry as the Mojave. Went in for a bra fitting and she dryly "guessed" my size, literally through down the measuring tape and bounced (meaning left). I was floored, and tired so, just politely picked up my stuff and left. Never again. Update/response to Matt in Nordstrom Customer Service: what are you/your team specifically doing to improve customer service? This incident took place in the lingerie department.

A lot of the popular brands and trends. The selection was not very big, but they did have a few pieces, but what I appreciate the most was Frank P- my sales rep. He walked all over the store with me- from fragrance to makeup to shoes. He was great attentive and had the best customer service I've had in a long time at a Nordstrom's, if you go there, ask for Frank P.

Don't bother doing online order for store pick-up if you need something within the stated time they are supposed to be ready for pick-up (or same day). It will be late.

It's always good to have a full-line store in the area! Marin County's one & only Nordstrom is well-stocked, bursting at its seams with a stellar customer service, in addition, to being a prime retail destination for those wanting affordable luxury at their fingertips!I've only found myself at this location twice, and it is a breath of fresh air from the regular full-line stores that I visit - not so sure why, but this location at The Village in Corte Madera seems to be a breath of fresh air! Weekends may seem busier than usual, since it was the holiday shopping season - yet the associates I worked with were calm, friendly, and professionally-personably pleasant! Shoutout to Denise S. & Angel P. at the Men's Department (Jewelry & Footwear), as my transactions with them were easy-breezy, and I was able to finally cross off the gifts from my shopping list - thanks to their tips & assistance! They even offered to gift wrap them, making my visit to their store with such ease! That's really a trademark of Nordstrom - excellent, quality customer service - that you canNOT find at the other department stores!! Like what I've heard in the past, "it's only a goodie, if it's from a Nordie!" (foreal, though!)This location is on par - if not - with the other full-line locations in the Bay Area, and if you happen to find yourself in the North Bay / Marin County, take a day of self-care & do some retail therapy on this side of the Bay Area! Such an aesthetically-pleasing environment to do your shopping/bargain hunting, whatsoever - and if you're part of The Nordy Club, then you know what's up!

The angry karen employee situated at the register next to the bear display, in the Max Mara section, had the audacity to demand that my daughter "tone it down" while she was taking a picture. Mind you, my 8-year old was by no means acting in any way that was raucous nor unruly. I could speculate into the multitude reasons for this unfortunate soul's cognitive dissonance but I'll let you read between the lines. Guess Marin's gonna keep on Marin-ing.

This review is for the makeup dept @ Lancome! Got my makeup done here for a wedding few weeks back and the lady did an amazing job! I unfortunately don't remember her name. Super friendly lady and great at makeup. She matched the look i was going for and lasted all night. Friendly staff and got it done in time. If i need makeup done again i will stop by Lancome again!

I've been searching the bay area looking for a classy black suit. I exhausted all my options trying to find the best suit for a wedding at several other stores.In my two recent visits to Nordstrom "related to tailoring and purchasing suits" I had the pleasure of meeting some really great people that work in the men's department. I'd like to extend a very grateful thanks to Muhammmed (Tailor), and Mateen (Men's Department Employee) for making my visit a positive experience.

The other day I went over to the channel area and felt super offended by the woman who helped me purchase something. She was distant and gave me a fake smile. I tried to engage with her asking about other products. I really expected more from her and probably would have bought more. But I just wanted to get out of there.

5 stars for Nordstrom alterations. The Corte Madera alterations lady is a wizard! She was able to hem my 10-year old pleather skirt where it had started to bubble - it looks like new. And she added the cutest little green patch to my favorite down jacket. She's worth the trip!
