We had some business to attend to with regard to an inherited IRA at Schwab. We went into the office at The Village in Corte Madera and were helped by Zach and Denise. We could not have asked for better service, knowledge, efficiency and good humor. These staff members are A++++++ and made what could have been a frustrating and challenging transaction simple and seamless! Thank you for a job well done!!!

Staff were friendly and professional, but when I walk in a place I expect to be able to ask some questions and get some work done. In this branch they primarily give you forms and if you have any questions they give you a business card or sticky-note with phone numbers of support staff. If I wanted to conduct business over the phone I wouldn't walk in! I don't get it. Frustrating more cannot be done in this branch.

This had been a bad move / experience for my family I am the head of our household finances. I have always been the custodian on all of our accounts. First when we were with Schwab many years ago. Then from bad service at Schwab we moved to TDAMERITRADE and had exceptional service, kindness and great knowledge. Now we are being moved back to Schwab. Again very bad service. They can't find me as a custodian of our accounts. Only on one account they said they would let me set up the account. Wow!!

The staff is lazy! Do as little as possible policy. I just opened an account online and needed help depositing and buying a CD. The young Asian lady at the front desk told me I couldn't deposit in the branch. If I can't deposit in the branch, open an account, or place a trade. What is her job there? She immediately wanted to turn me down for assistance. After telling her that someone on the phone told me I could deposit in the branch, she was reluctant to take my deposit. She asked for my account number. She was watching me log into my account. It took a few minutes for me to get the account number she requested. She could have asked for my social security number to locate my account number, but it was too much work for her to do. They were lazy and provided the worst customer service.

Have been a customer for what should be at least a decade and this company has only made changes out of convenience not consideration for the actual client. 1) The online deposit system does not work. Someone tell management that this scanner for automatic processing of checks just does not work. It goes too fast then says can't read it, then says sorry there is an issue the whole dang thing is down. Come on, man! What good is a bank if you can't even submit a check online? My check is going to expire if this problem is not resolved! Stupid, stupid, stupid! 2) The debit card is a pain in the arse. They keep giving more and more excuses too, like it's not actually an everyday debit card, or Visa says blah blah blah. They will block you before your ten transaction limit just because you were having issues finding a ride with ride-sharing apps! So you're having to call these guys up. Often times staff are rude on the phone, reminding and nagging you about things or bringing in a supervisor and wanting to have a coping session instead of resolving the dang issue! 3) Free stock. This is a plus. One time waited way too long for someone to answer the phone and he issued me a bunch of new stocks as a reward for the effort. Have to give him kudos for that. This is a GOOD thing. 4) All these issues with what kind of bank account is it? Don't even get me started on this one because apparently it's impacting the ability to use my card. Also, my card got randomly blocked the other day. WTH? It was not even a dollar probably for Google, chill out. Am getting really, really sick of having to call these guys so many times because what were supposed to be seamless services are messing up on a regular basis. This is not how envisioned Schwab to be, especially ten years of experience in clients. This branch am sure is okay, but probably some of the same issues as the ones you might deal with online and using a debit card. Am just not crazy about this bank anymore.

THEY WILL NOT EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE AT THIS BRANCH. WHEN I ASKED THEM WHY THEY SAID THE WERE MANAGING TO MUCH MONEY TO BE BOTHERED ANSWERING THE PHONE.

Edit: had to make them a 1 star because I’ve spent a minimum of 3hours on hold with their customer service. This is among a litany of other horrendous issues I have experienced in the 7 days I’ve been a customer with them.DO NOT SIGN ON WITH THIS COMPANY. Especially this branch. You will likely regret it.

based on your currently posted saturday hours, i made a special trip to your location to deposit some checks only find the office closed at 12:10. very disappointing. kindly correct your misleading posted saturday hours!

Was very disappointed with Corte Madera location- they close the door 5 minutes before 5 pm, despite working hours 8am - 5 pm! So disrespectful!

I had a very difficult time getting my money out of this office during the year-end holidays. The front desk woman was exceptionally unhelpful by giving out vague and incomplete information. I'm going to find someone else.

My husband and I have been with Schwab for over 25 years. I had an appt at the branch this week to once again find a person I can work with on a consistent basis and get a durable power of attorney activated. The person I met with was condescending and misogynistic. At least this time they didn't lose a significant amount of our investments. But the arrogance is appalling. I will be moving our assets out of there.

My family and I have been working with Charles Schwab for years for our investments. They've always taken great care of us. Excellent customer service and follow-through. Not too pushy or esoteric. I've never been fluent in finance-speak. Some of it can be VERY confusing. But the associates I've dealt with over the years (including my current guy - Sam Black), have always been patient with me and my financial illiteracy. They always explain things to me in a way that I can understand. And I truly believe that they have my best interests at heart. Their new Corte Madera office is quite nice, too!
