Very disappointing! The staff (handlers or camp counselors as they are called) are very inexperience. They have zero command presence with dogs and are extremely sensitive to active dogs. We have been to others who know how to deal with dogs.

It's been a while since we've had a dog in our life but we're lucky to find such a sweet one. She's one of those dogs that gets anxious when she's not with us so the idea of boarding was a bit stressful. We had boarded our last dog here over 10 years ago and always thought it was a good facility. So naturally, we decided to board our new dog here while we were away. A lot has changed in 10 years. Camp K-9 makes you jump through several hoops in order to board your dog now. I can't argue against any of that as it's in the best interest of your pet as well as the other dogs they're boarding. It's just a lot of back and forth so if you're considering to board your pet here, get the process started as early as possible and follow up quickly when they respond. Overall, our pet's stay went well, although she seemed a bit stressed when we picked her up. There's quite a lot of interaction with other dog's that she just wasn't used to despite bring her in before her longer stay to get acclimated. Camp K-9 is still probably the best choice in Marin to board your pet, especially if you want them to have their own space to sleep in at night. Some of the other places put all of the dogs into one large space at night which I can't see working for our little girl.

They did a fantastic job accommodating my older, poorly socialized small dog for a week and even accepted her graciously for an additional night when our plane home was delayed. Everyone we interacted with was very welcoming and seemed to love the animals they worked with. I'd definitely recommend.

Ive now boarded 3 rescue Huskies here since 2011 and I continue to be pleased with the service and the staff. Our current rescue dog Koda has anxiety and needed extra care easing into kennel life. We sent him to daycare 2x a week for several months to acclimate him. We were so happy when he really started to love playtime there and responded well to the people who handle him. Koda started to rush inside and whine with excitement every time we arrived! Now he has graduated to 3 night overnights and we feel so comfortable leaving him in the hands of the capable, kind and responsible employees at Camp K9. This place is a gem.

My dog seems to love camp K9 but I have to agree with another reviewer that Every time I have used daycare, I have had to stop by the dog wash on the way home. Not just a little dirty---don't even want him in my car kind of dirt. It's expensive and I don't understand this. This was a little while ago, so maybe this is better. Other daycare I have used washes my guy off when he has gotten dirty.

I found Camp K-9 when I became a dog mom and was terrified to leave my rescue anywhere. He had a rough past (as many rescues have) and finally felt loved and safe--didn't want him to have a bad experience or think he was being abandoned. I tried another place first, but he was left in an indoor playroom with about 50 other dogs and only ONE human for hours. There was absolutely no structure or adequate supervision, let alone any grouping of dogs by temperament. This is sadly standard at most places, and it's not what's best for a lot of dogs. After he came home with a gash on his neck that no one even told me about, I knew I needed a more boutique, structured daycare that would really keep dogs safe and not just toss a huge group of them in a room all day. Camp K-9 is everything I could have wanted! Dogs are pack animals who need structure and direction from humans, and that's what they get here. I love the 45-minute playtime/rest intervals instead of open-ended play, the personalized attention (and great dog behavioral understanding) from the staff, the grouping of dogs by temperament, and that they each have their own private room to relax in. I moved away from the area and tried to find a new daycare, only to realize just how much of a unicorn Camp K-9 is. Nothing compares. I actually considered driving six hours back there and leaving from SFO for vacation instead of LAX just to have the peace of mind that my dog is happy and safe (and I still might). I wish you would open a 2nd location in LA! Just came back here to say that :)

Our dog loves this camp and it's staff (even though she's not a huge people person)! Staff is very friendly. Their covid staffing is limited so there's specific drop off and pickup times. They have a few different yards for the dogs and you can upgrade their overnight stays with additional services. Our dog is always tired but extremely happy when she comes home!

We LOVE Camp K-9! We love it is because our dog Beau's tail starts wagging when we exit the freeway, and then upon arrival, he pulls us to the door. We adopted our 14 pound Velcro dog, Beau, when he was 15 months- old and felt that he (and we) needed a bit of independence. We carefully researched programs and selected Camp K-9. Most importantly, the caregivers are warm, energetic, and one can see their enjoyment of dogs. Another consideration was the excellent indoor and outdoor facility. Lastly, we see happy dogs and people when we drop off and pick up. Thank you to the camp K-9 team.

COVID update- you drop off pups outside, masked, and they use their leashes. Felt really safe!I have been a huge fan of this spot for years! Our older dog *only* barks when he comes here because he is so excited. The facility is great- modern, clean- and the people are super sweet & organized. Four paws up ? ?!
