“This is a good grocery store. They have a good selection and some unique items also. I found the toothpaste I use. I would have bought a lot of tasty food but I wasn't hungry. They also had garden plants and flowers out front for the summer.”

“Fresh deli made to order sandwiches are super tasty and satisfying. Big is the word to describe portions. The place is consistent. Been going for sandwiches there for over 20 years and always satisfied, a monterey landmark.”

“Very lovely, no-frills traditional small family-owned shop with generous portions of fresh and tasty food at reasonable prices. I had leftovers for several days afterward. The service was great, and the people running the shop were sweet, kind, and very welcoming and attentive. I was just passing through Monterey on a long drive and stopped here for lunch, but if I lived there, I would support this business regularly.”

“Since the lockdown, Jerome's Carmel Valley Market has saved my family. The fresh all Organic produce and Neiman Ranch meats are Prime and seasonal. They have a terrific wine selection as we'll. You can arrange for them to pack your order, shop for you and then pick up your food without having to go inside the store for a small fee.Carmel Valley Village is so fortunate to have this wonderful market!”

“I'm a former meat worker here. Did you know they will specifically cut your steak to the size and thickness you want. As long as you make an order a head of time. You can also buy the whole primal meat in the bag at cost, but you'll have to cut it down yourself. Also, you can order buy produce by the case at cost. Thanks for your service.”

“This place has had a huge revitalization. Not only in esthetics, but in staff as well. This store is clean, well stocked, with plenty of parking, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The prices are fair, and their selection is generous. Every staff member I've encountered is always wonderfully friendly and ready to assist a customer to the best of their ability; they treat everyone equally and with respect. And for me, that really goes a long way.”

“Best tequila selection on the Monterey Peninsula and quite possibly the best selection in the Bay Area! The employees are helpful and friendly as well, which to me, is a big plus. They also carry other liquors and beers, as well as basic groceries. I have nothing but praise for Quality Market and Liquors!”

“BEST MENUDO IN THE ENTIRE 831!!Best breakfast to have. We’ve been buying their menudo for the past 20+ years and as someone that’s tried menudo in many other places from San Francisco to Monterey none can beat this one at El Rancho Market. This menudo comes paired with its cilantro/onion mix as well a crushed pepper with oregano on its separate containers.I’ll be honest I haven’t been in the store in many years but my dad brings us menudo from here just about every weekend. When we go visit family in Modesto area they always ask us to bring them some. That’s how good it is.On the picture I added my own home grown oregano hence the big oregano leaves.Everyone needs to give their menudo a try.”

“The destination for the very best produce around. Since the pandemic I have used Russo's to source my produce and am never disappointed. I am pretty finicky about choosing my own fresh food and can say that this place delivers the most exceptional goods at the best prices-beautiful fresh herbs bouquets, gorgeous lettuce heads and local artisanal goods are available and it is so very easy to use their website-they also deliver in a pinch. Do not hesitate to trust Russo's implicitly for amazing produce and local producers of fine foods.”

“I like it! Super convenient (for me). It's located near where we do a lot of our shopping. It's loaded with food we normally eat and the owner is very kind. I love exploring Asian markets for new food options but having the familiar to fall back on. This place has that vibe for me. It's Korean leaning and that's cool a lot of Asian type foods are quite similar with just a few changes in spices and preparation. Overall it's variety is good. A nice frozen section, selection of rice, noodles and meats. A wide selection of prepared condiments ( I'm lazy) for your rice and noodles. It's not a one stop shop and I don't need it to be, they have enough variety for me to return and try new things, and that's fun. The kind lady (owner) gave us a free package of house made Korean kimchi pancake type things for stopping in. P.S. on that last paragraph, the pancakes given to us I think are called kimchijeon. We just put them in a hot pan and crisped them up a little... bam! A nice side with all the other good things we got there too day. Last word...excellent!”

“The bakery staff and baked goods in this Nob Hill are excellent. Yolanda went above and beyond the call of duty. She took the time not only to double check my order for lemon bars but personally called me to let me know they were ready for pick up. It was a tricky order and I was worried that they might not arrive in time for my event but they were ready earlier than anticipated and delicious. Thanks Nob Hill for outstanding baked goods and a stellar staff. ~Anna”

“I was visiting family here for Christmas, and in SJ one of my reps recommended this place. OMG!!!!! Ordered a turkey, swiss with all the fixings except pickles. The BEST sandwich I have ever had!!! I will be back for sure!”

“Best sandwiches in town! Good selection of Marianne’s & now Revival ice creams too. Kaseys is more like a little market than a Grab/Go. Remember what the first Trader Joes was like in Pasadena when it was a just a little shop on Arroyo? Before they became our supermarket overlords? Yeah, it’s like that. Lots of delicious & fresh local foods & pantry staples. Friendly staff too boot!Great coffee but service peters out for fresh coffee around mid-afternoon. Which isn’t specific to here as it goes. Fresh cookies from Peninsula & Lupitas which is great to find locally rather than having to trek over the hill. And the sandwiches, dios. Arrive before noon for best selection. Yum.”

“I am always looking for a place that has Falafel so when I saw it on the pictures outside I was intrigued. Checking on Yelp assured me I wouldn't be disappointed. I saw the menu that Helen posted but didn't realize it was from 2018. I went in hoping to order a bunch of things that they no longer serve. I did get a falafel, though, and my wife got a gyro, and I also tried a pupusa. The falafel and gyro were just as good as the place in Castroville, without the drive. The pupusa was made in front of me and was excellent! The lady was very accommodating, too. She had almost closed but was only too happy to fire things up again to cook for me. When I showed her the menu I wanted to order off of she just shook her head and said it was old. She did make me a carnitas taco (with a hand made tortilla) to eat while I waited, which was really good. Bottom line, it's nice to have good falafel in town, the food is good, the service nice and sweet. We'll be back. I've attached a photo of the QR Code that will get you to the current menu.”

“This location is very clean, the afternoon butchers -tall one with beard/curly hair - shows extremely good customer service, attention to detail and was willing to stop what he was doing to ensure I knew where my products were. Keep up the good job!”

“Stopped by here to get some Korean goods before heading to Monterey Bay. Place is very clean and the owners were very kind and friendly. I was surprised by the quality of their food. Kimbop was delicious and it’s only $2.50!!! Their squid salad mix with kimbop is heavenly. I highly recommend this place.”
