Amazing local store that is just a few blocks away. Prices are fair and it is amazing to see tourists get cheap food instead of having to fork over tons of money.

I have been a loyal customer at Smart & Final for many years, but I have recently noticed that some staff members seem to be prejudiced towards customers of color. I believe it's important for staff to be trained to provide a welcoming and respectful experience for all customers, regardless of their race or ethnicity.
I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and provide any necessary training or resources to ensure that all customers feel valued and respected.

I'm from a different part of the country so I had never been here. Interesting concept. It's like a mini Walmart. A little bit of everything including fresh produce and fresh (though, packaged) meat. No deli counter. No bakery. No butcher counter.
They had rotisserie chicken and pre made sushi. I like their tag line: One trip and that's it.
(I *thought* this place was called First Street Grocery? hmmmm ... maybe I'm confused.)

I always wondered where people who lived here got groceries as I hadn't seen a large store. This spot sneaks up on you but is loaded and well-stocked with items at great prices. We stopped in for snacks and basics and I was impressed with the fresh bakery items and flowers. Quality things here and friendly cashiers.

We like Smart & Final Coronado, it's great since they have different varieties than other stores, and good prices especially for larger quantities, bulk on some items.Crowds are usually small in the morning, and parking has never been an issue.

This store allows pets that are NOT service animals. I even saw a dog licking the French baguettes.

Depending upon who’s on duty, not the best customer service, in particular, early morning weekday female cashier staff. If you’re a certain color (on the lighter side & not of color) they won’t wait on you, I get it there are lot of whiny entitled people from the island that are terrible to staff here, I’ve seen it. I try very hard not to be one. Noticed this with one of the female cashiers that ironically was recognized as “Best Cashier of 2022.” Really??? Stood in line for a long time w/ one thing to purchase when woman ahead of me had lots of groceries. All staff saw me waiting there for several minutes, & wouldn’t open up an express lane. I didn’t say anything, but was rude. They need self-checkout.

Discovered smart & Final after Von and what a huge difference. This place is very reasonable and affordable. They have large selection of food and produce. Even their alcohol selection is good with aggressive pricing.Highly recommended.

That was my first visit to a Smart & Final Extra! Branch in America. I was positively surprised. Well sorted, lots of offers and also a large selection of different products. Visually it reminds me a little of Trader Joe's - but the offering is more like Target. A great mix. Very friendly staff who were always helpful. No long waits at the cash register.
