“I don’t even know where to begin. I met Robert and Jim 8-10 months ago. I walked in and explained my situation. I was needing to liquidate my Dad’s coin collection. From the moment I met them I felt that they were genuinely nice, honest and fair business owners. A few months later I went back in with the inventory of the collection on paper and explained I was going to be driving it from Texas to Cali in a few months. They took quality time looking over everything and -sight unseen - of course couldn’t give me a buyout price but assured me they would do their best with the collection. A few more months passed and I gave them the date I’d have the collection in Cali. As I started going through the boxes before I turned them over for appraisal, I realized everything was Mint, Uncirculated, Coins, Collections and the value was going to be high. I brought everything in and a week later I got the call to come in and review the proposed buyout. I was worried some would be melted and sold separately. WRONG. First, the buyout price was more than fair it was outstanding! Second, they were already clearing space to sell the collections. We went over everything line by line and I walked away knowing 100% I found the right place to do business. I cannot say enough good things about Treasure Trove!!!”
“The vibes in this crystal shop were amazing!✨️ I don't remember the two associates names but I came in with my niece and her dog (black chihuahua) Milo... The associates were amazing! ?So helpful and personable! Milo doesn't like men but didnt bark at the male associate...We think because he had such good energy! The female associate petted Milo and he loved it!? This was the 3rd crystal shop we came to because the first two were closed... Great deals on certain things but I wish the crystal ball bead bracelets were priced differently ?. Definitely a must visit though! You will find something you like?.”

“Was gifted a cool old lamp made from an abacus, that no longer worked after I tried to attach a shade. Gibson rewired it completely and made sure to use (new) parts that looked old, down to the antiquey looking plug. Also changed it to a dimmer switch that works with any bulb. Very happy with the results.”

“Looooove this place there’s so much to look at I spent 2 hours just looking at everything! The only issue I had was around the last 30 minutes I was in the store I had one of the employees very obviously following me around wherever I went, it was incredibly obvious and I feel like I was being discriminated. It made me really uncomfortable.”
“What is it about vintage nostalgia that attracts us? I think our innate curiosity for how humans lived in the generations before us could be part of it. Regardless of the "why" I am often drawn to old-timey things and enjoy imagining who would have worn a particular item or what interesting stories could be told about a small house that has been preserved and on display for people to visit.The Johnson House is just what I'd picture when I think of a space that is preserving a moment in time....along with all the trinkets and accessories to accompany those memories. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door is the smell-it smells very much like what I'd imagine a proper lady back a hundred plus years ago to smell like...similar to a very old grandma today. Overpowering floral, powder and perfume. (I actually love it and wish I could get away with smelling like that today, but I'm sure people's sensitive noses would not like me much.)Everywhere you look inside the small house is a relic from yesteryear. It's not a place to take small children and it's probably not going to have a souvenir you can purchase that most everyone will appreciate. But, for a very particular person, you may just find the treasure they will love.”

“We were moving to another state and called several Estate Companies. They came to our home and told us that we had so much stuff and that what we needed was someone that would buy out all our stuff. They recommendedSteve Mattson's company. It was the best recommendation we ever got. Steve came within a few days, we told him what we were getting rid of, he made us an offer on all of it, which we accepted. The next day his workers showed up and took everything agreed upon. They were so fast, efficient, professional and polite. It was a God send for us. We had more stuff as we sorted our attic and storage and had Steve come back the next week and made an offer as before and his workers showed up the next day and did it again... fast, efficient, professional and polite. It was amazing to see them work. Our neighbor and our realtor have both asked for their name as they saw what was happening. They took everything including a toilet we had on the side of our house. I would give them more stars if I could. Mattson Company was the perfect solution for our needs. Highly recommend them to anyone wanting to clean out houses, apartments or storages. A TEN star company no doubt!!”

“We have been going to Bad Madge for 5 years now and it is one of the best shops in San Diego! If you love vintage you need to check this store out. They have vintage furniture, clothing, glassware, tiki glasses, and plenty of new/vintage inspired items! Fantastic curation going on here and everything is beautifully arranged. We had been eyeing two chairs made by local South Park furniture maker Jose Eguez!These chairs are Caribbean Rosewood and they are perfect! Tanya helped us out with making our decision and delivered them today to our North Park condo. Tanya has impeccable customer service, her team who works at Bad Madge are also kind, welcoming, and helpful.We love these chairs! Cannot wait to have these chairs for years to come. The workmanship on these is so impressive. Before you buy from some mass produced furniture shop online try shopping local and support Bad Madge! The pricing is more than reasonable compared to pottery barn or crate and barrel.The winter South Park walkabout is coming up and let me tell you Christmas at Bad Madge is well worth checking out.”

“We have purchased 5-6 pieces from this great store for our house. They have a wonderful selection and most of the pieces are in good to excellent shape. I am a huge fan of the nightstands and end tables we purchased for a fraction of what you'd pay online for much crummier material. We also bought a cabinet for our record player that's been quite the hit. WARNING: I see this issue has been mentioned in the other reviews below. There is an employee who works here by the name of Dawn. Dawn clearly has some type of borderline personality disorder. We usually call before we go to make sure Dawn is not working before we drive down. Aside from Dawn, Everyone else has been extremely kind and helpful and seems to be aware Dawn has some outside issues that are scaring away the customers. Hopefully this issue gets fixed soon because good vintage stores are hard to come by and this is a really great store with a great selection.”

“Went to sell 4 semi-rare date coins today. I had a pretty good idea what I wanted and what they were worth to a coin dealer. I was in no hurry to sell. Had a great conversation with John and could not quite come to a deal. We ended up $200 apart on $5000 with of coins. He was fair and I could completely understand where he was coming from. He even called a colleague to tell them about my coins. I left feeling valued and respected. I was not the least bit disappointed. Though, I think he was. He really tried to make the deal work. The customer ahead of me had about $20 worth of common date stuff. John treated him the same as he treated me. That was nice to see. Next time I am in town I will bring some other coins in that I want to sell. This guy knows what he is doing and is friendly and fair.”
