3795 Park Blvd, San Diego“if you like buying all of your household goods from Amazon, Wayfair, IKEA, Tamu, you can stop reading this review now.
if you don’t like home goods made from plastic and particleboard, I highly recommend going to mid-century modern. Their selection is amazing—from large pieces of furniture to lighting, art, accessories. And the wood pieces are just that: wood. I was thrilled to find American made living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture of high quality.
The customer service cannot be beat. The owners were patient with my millions of questions and happy to provide all the information about the items available.
Check out mid-century modern and support one of Hillcrest’s great local businesses. ?”
“Paul is the best, and this store is a playground for anyone who loves vintage items. Snagged a beautiful bar cart from here, great deal. Looking forward to going back and picking up more great pieces.”
“The staff are absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable and honest!!! We called to see what time they closed and they had already closed but the lady said she would stay open for us. The selection is great and so are the prices. I recommend Crystal Blue Vibrations 110% The energy ones feels is amazing!!! Go see for yourself!!!!!”
“This place has some really incredible stuff! A lot of items are made by local artists and sold here. Very reasonable prices and such unique finds. The condition of the vintage items being sold was impressive! I will definitely be going back.”
“This place is a literal treasure trove of miniature items! There are thousands of unique itty bitty items here, tiny baskets with eggs, light fixtures, furniture from multiple time periods, butter churns, spinning racks with hundreds of things including a 2"x3" box holding a rifle, handcuffs and a badge. If you do 1/12th scale 1/32 or 1/64 or smaller, this place is heaven. Even if you do 1/6th scale, it's fun just to look at everything and see how they set up the miniature rooms! Plus the lady that owns the place is an absolute sweetheart and extremely knowledgeable.”

1878 Grand Ave, San Diego“Great vintage shop with a lot of options. Could stay in there all day not to mention the staff is extremely helpful. Very fun to talk to, and have a great fashion advice if I do say so, myself. Definitely would suggest popping in catching a vibe and leaving with some new threads and maybe some new friends. Plus, the dude Tristan does jiu jitsu so automatic five stars if you ask me definitely will return and bring a friend.”
“Had the pleasure of visiting this incredible family-owned jeweler with my sister’s fiancée over the weekend. Moe & his lovely family took amazing care in ensuring his ring was exactly what he was looking for ?
Their store is conveniently located within the Gaslamp District of beautiful downtown San Diego! Hard to imagine a better local shop than Nikki & Co. ? HIGHLY recommend coming here for all of your fine jewelry, watches, as well as any jewelry repair needs :)”
“Lewis Fay is the best kind of neighborhood hang where Tami knows your name. So many roads cross here. Stop by, do some tasting, a little shopping, connect with Friends.”
“Was gifted a cool old lamp made from an abacus, that no longer worked after I tried to attach a shade. Gibson rewired it completely and made sure to use (new) parts that looked old, down to the antiquey looking plug. Also changed it to a dimmer switch that works with any bulb. Very happy with the results.”
“The Johnson House is an amazing find. It’s an old style clothing and hat shop in Old Town State Park, at the edge of the main plaza, Washington Square. The owner has an amazing knowledge of not only clothing and hats of the pioneer era, but is a wealth of knowledge regarding Old Town. We walked in just to find out about some of the amazing museums and replica era stores, and walked out with a great hat and bonnet. To me it was a wonderful find, because I have a big head, and I have trouble finding a hat to comfortably fit it. They have an expansive variety of 2XL hats, for which I was surprised to find. I would recommend visiting to not only find that unusual and authentic piece of clothing or headware, but just to find out something about the history of Old Town.”
“This store is great! Very very friendly, fair & professional. I have been to many coin shops / antique stores all over the country & this is by far the best. I recommend every person I know to come shop or sell here first. A true timeless classic!”
“Surprisingly a fairly large place! ? great place to shop for collectibles and unique gifts ?.4/5 ⭐️s due to some pricing that was too high for certain items.”
“Great antique mall with something for everyone! Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nicely organized and items are reasonably priced. I'm glad to have stumbled upon this gem of a shop.”

5320 Custer St, San Diego“ClassyAntique and Vintage shop tucked away in industrial San Diego. Virginia the owner is a wonderful person. Her shop was full of interesting curiosities and antiques. The shop is a bit hidden and you have to walk around the corner from the brewery or you can park at the floor and decor across the street. The city has been doing construction work so some days you may have to be detoured but otherwise it’s a great way to spend the afternoon! Please call your local mayor to support Virginias small business and help get traffic directed towards her!!!!”
“Also sells a huge selection of custom crafted stained glass in many styles. I bought a stained glass but wish I could have taken them all home. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

3602 Kurtz St, San Diego“We were moving to another state and called several Estate Companies. They came to our home and told us that we had so much stuff and that what we needed was someone that would buy out all our stuff. They recommendedSteve Mattson's company. It was the best recommendation we ever got. Steve came within a few days, we told him what we were getting rid of, he made us an offer on all of it, which we accepted. The next day his workers showed up and took everything agreed upon. They were so fast, efficient, professional and polite. It was a God send for us. We had more stuff as we sorted our attic and storage and had Steve come back the next week and made an offer as before and his workers showed up the next day and did it again... fast, efficient, professional and polite. It was amazing to see them work. Our neighbor and our realtor have both asked for their name as they saw what was happening. They took everything including a toilet we had on the side of our house. I would give them more stars if I could. Mattson Company was the perfect solution for our needs. Highly recommend them to anyone wanting to clean out houses, apartments or storages. A TEN star company no doubt!!”
“Drove an hour and a half to go here the first time. We had a great time going down there, it was definitely worth the drive. It's been a couple hours in there and didn't even see everything there. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to spend an afternoon.”
“I love this store full of locally created artists! The soaps are such great quality , and it’s so fun to check out what they have. They’re pretty expensive though, and I would say that most things are highly overpriced. Still, it’s a great place to check out and buy a few goodies”
“This is my go-to spot for my comic book needs! I consider this my Local Comic Book Shop (LCBS) and have several pulls here. They are very accommodating of my various request for adding variants to my pull list. Every staff member is super helpful and friendly. The manager, Theron is awesome and seems to genuinely care about the comic book industry and bringing in young readers. Their free comic book day even was awesome and my son had a great time picking up some free comics. They have a VIP membership which I highly recommend, as you will get discounts on all of your purchases. In addition to comics, they have a great selection of Funko pops, anime toys, manga, trade paperbacks, hardcovers and supplies.”
“They had a beautiful collection of custom-made jewelry. The designs were beautiful in every variety and the prices were very reasonable. Sue Ann was very helpful for me to pick out a lovely piece.”
“Incredible quality!! Rare and as authentic as it gets ! Prices are great. Owner is super knowledgeable about everything they sell. Loved this store. So nice to see these authentic antique paintings and decor items being sold and moreover appreciated . There's something for everyone ! Can't wait to go back !!”
“This is by far my favorite shop in Coronado, and I live here. Locally owned (and wonderful owner). Constantly new things, constantly evolving, beautiful displays, incredible found treasures, always a delight even just to browse.”
