DO NOT GO TO THESE GUYS!! THEY TAKE WAY TOO LONG AND OVERCHARGE.!!
I went in to get new rims, trim rings, and hub caps for my 57 GMC truck and this guy Terry gave me a sheet of specs needed in order to make them. He needed back spacing and offset along with what size calipers i had put on the truck. You would think a rim shop that specializes in these things would know these answers but I guess not. So I order them in January with +/- 1month lead time. By June I still hadn't got my order and finally Terry tells me my hubcaps are on back order and if I want I can pick up the rims along with trim rings. October rolls around and he tells me "sorry the hubcaps are too expensive and we won't make any money on them at this point. If you want to buy them else where we'll modify them for you to fit the rims and credit you back on the hubcaps" i order them from another shop and get them within a couple weeks. Now Terry only wants to credit me less than half the price quoted for the hubcaps. Because they modified them for me. My invoice shows $420. For hubcaps which I was expecting to be reimbursed for since they cost me that much else where.
Do not go to these guys.

Bought wheels to fit my classic car. They do not fit AT ALL! They claim that I should have known they were reproductions and not OEM. Of course I know that. When they tell me that the reproductions will fit my car that is what I expect. ..but they dont....They did nothing to absolve the problem but told me that I am wasting their time!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The quality of this product nowhere matches the cost. The lack of trueness, extreme weight, and the fact they don't retain the hubcaps are a complete disappointment. I purchased 2 wheels at a time because of my fear that this aftermarket company would let me down as nearly all do. when I brought up all of my disappointments, I was assured they would correct the hubcap issue, but alas they made a very lackluster and failed attempt to do so on the secondary order of wheels 3, & 4. the turnaround times were high and customer service was never proactive, I had to reach out for any updates on status once it went over the promised delivery date, and usually without response. I could go on...

The sales guys are extremely rude. Whoever allowed the person who answers the phone to talk to customers like he’s doing them a favor should be immediately let go. Seriously I was so put off by the guy on the phone that I quickly realized that doing business with them would be a mistake. Conversely called Detroit steel wheels and those guys were amazing and friendly. Whoever owns this business take heed, having a person who treats customers like you’re doing them a favor isn’t the best business practice.

I order a set of smoothies from these guys on a Tuesday. They had them made and shipped to me by the next week., they look great and fit perfect.

I bought 2 Mopar wheels for the front of my 1964 Dodge 330 Max Wedge car. They were perfect, and the early, bigger dog dish hubcaps, fit perfectly! Thank you

Despite everythig that went on the issue was eventually settled. I was issued a full refund by the company sending me back a 3,007 dollar personal check. I placed the check in my account and it cleared as of today. Despite everything that happened they still held themself accountable for the subpar work that was preformed. The right thing was done !

Took 20 weeks to complete a 10 week Job to send me such low quality safety hazardous rims that I sent them back and this company is holding onto payment refusing a refund.

I ordered Jan 5th. I was told there was a shortage of 15 inch wheel outers. I was told this every few weeks until the end of March when I was told the outers were in. I was told they would go to powder coat because I didnt have time to paint them as we were close to my deadline. They went to powder coat April 2nd a week later than what I was told the first time. I was told I would have them April 19th. Today is the 20th. Still no wheels. No idea when they will be done or shipped they couldnt give me dates but could give me many excuses. Blamed the powder coater they used. Blamed supplier. Blamed the lack of help. Never took responsibility. Not once. I like to use smaller companies. Support the little guy. But sometimes you are better off with the big guys. I will never buy from Wheelsmith again. I will use Wheel Vintiques or another company. Dont lie. Dont make excuses. Dont make me have to buy another set of wheels at the last minute to make my trip. Completely and totally disappointed. If and it is a big if, I ever mount these wheels on my car, the only thing I will ever see is disappointments.Update 05/19/21 I did get my wheels the first week of May. They are really nothing special, nothing in appearance or construction looks any different from the competition. They were well packed for shipping, even if the shipping company just left them sitting on the driveway where anyone could have just taken them and didnt knock or let us know they were delivered. I did decide to run them, they were very very difficult to get balanced, I used brand new radial tires. They took a lot of weights, more than 4 times what was on the car before. They look decent, appear to be made decently, but overall I feel I way overspent for what I got and how I got it and would not do it again. The next build i will use another vendor for wheels.
