Nice store, with nice selections of guns, shotguns, rifles and ammo. Good prices, friendly salesmen....I wish they can put a store in orange county Ca. You won't be disappointed.

So many complaints about the long wait times at the firearms counter yet the management has done nothing to improve it. I thought I'd stop by later in the evening but they stop doing background checks, like why??!!! completely wasted an hour drive! I'm so upset.

Too many things do not have price tags.. they need to have a better number system for firearms department.. If you wanna buy ammo, they make you pull a number and wait behind lookie loos that are looking at guns.. if they had a different waiting list for ammo purchase it would really speed things up and not scare off your customers. I looked online for crispi boots it said they are a vendor, but they only have 4 pairs of boots that are size 7.5, 8.5, and a 9... thats a horrible selection for mens boot not even my 12 yo wears a size 7

Management nor associates know what they're doing. Ordered a pair of shoes sent to this store from distribution...they sent a 13 and 11, associate said both are good to go same size etc...email came with message saying take 10% off any in store purchase that day, but has no scan code etc, just email for them to read. Management had know idea what that was along with my purchase, then proceeds to try to get me to sign up for newsletter 5 times to make the 10% off that way, WHICH IS ENTIRELY SEPARATE...had Management in distribution refund me, never coming here again.

I generally like coming here because the store is close and the staff is generally cordial. Then why the low rating? The gun counter takes 2-3 times longer than any other seller in the area. I think it’s by design to be a deterrent for people to purchase firearms there is no reason they should work this slow. Each transaction takes 45-60 minutes minimum and they have at most two people staffing the line and there’s usually a line. If you come here for firearms or ammo, be prepared to be here 2 hours or more.

Terrible customer service in the firearm department. They take YEARS!! with each person and Only one or two slow employees working there.
I had to cancel my rifle order cuz they weren’t able to give it to me after I even ran my background. I went to the store 4 times and waited more than an hour, they were never able to help me and I don’t have their time to waste. Buy somewhere else!!

If you are coming here to pickup camping gear or outdoor apparrel then I would give this a 5/5. Great selection of items, the people working here are helpful, and checkout is usually pretty fast.
If you are coming here for a firearm, however, I'd give it a 0/5. As many of the other reviewers have said, the gun counter is perpetually understaffed. I have been coming here for 6+ years and the staff has slowly dwindled into 1-2 people working at any time. It can take upwards of an hour for the queue to progress a single number. Be kind to the staff because they cannot help that ownership is running a thin operation to save money. If you absolutely must come here and you have purchased a firearm, be sure to make an appointment. If you are just coming to window shop and ask questions, find another dealer.
Regarding the appointments, don't schedule one after noon as the traffic in the afternoon is a complete nightmare. If you are coming from the Los Angeles area, you either have to take the 15 southbound or side streets. Both of which are slowgoing. Google maps will tell you the sidestreets are faster, but they really aren't since they are old and full of areas where the traffic cuts down from 3-4 lanes to a single lane. At some intersections, you can sit through multiple cycles of light changes before you even move an inch. This is relevant and important because:
They have a 10 minute grace period on appointments and no, they will not budge on that. They are going to give you a # and you are going to be waiting who knows how much longer. There is no mention of this grace period on the scheduling site. At least not in a way that draws your attention to it (maybe I missed it). We left early to arrive about an hour before my appointment and have lunch. The trip time went from 2 hours to about 3.25 hours during the course of the drive. I arrived 6 minutes beyond the grace period and had to wait another 50 minutes to be helped.
I canceled my entire order and Sierra was incredibly helpful and professional while assisting with that. It is awful being understaffed like this location and Sierra handled the situation like a true professional.
I will not be returning here and I would advise you spare yourself as well. Find a professional FFL local to you and just pay the $50-$150 transfer fee. Trust me, you are going to wish you did after dealing with Sportsman's.

Thought ordering ammo online would speed up the process but that was a huge fail. An employee who came in before he clocked in got serviced before the customers, I guess that's a perk of working there. I'll shop elsewhere.

I literally waited 3 HOURS just to look at a gun I was looking to purchase. I ended up walking out ! This store is completely under staffed with only 2 or 1 times one person working !
