Haven't been here in years and wanted to surprise a client with some cool donutsWent into a dark store with nothing in the case labeled or any signage with flavors or prices. When I asked what options they had the employee starts naming them and sounding pretty unsure she even knew them all.On top of that they are TINY. $10 for half a dozen and they are very SMALL.Taste ok I guess but not sure how this place stays open :(

Been enjoying Southern Maid donuts for many years in other cities, and those at this Corona, CA location for a couple years, so this review is for Corona. Very tasty, well-made yeast and cake style donuts, bars, twists, and specialty items. A clean, inviting venue with a welcoming and friendly staff. The selection lessens as the day progresses so try and get there early for the biggest choices. Speaking of "biggest", Southern Maid donuts here have gotten to be much smaller in size than I remember them previously at Texas locations. At the same time, prices have inversely increased in size, earning Southern Made Donuts four smaller-sized stars rather than the five large stars from years past.

Shocked of how I saw the manager talk to a middle aged woman went in. My hand went over my mouth I was so surprised. The manager (the heavy lady) was so disrespectful and rude to the costumer who came in before me. I can’t believe owners would hire someone who speaks like that. The manager was practically harassing her. I’m never ever coming back to this donut shop and I let the security guard and his company know of this girl. If you have any kind of human decency, you would NOT give business to this shop.

Edit: my wife came here with my daughter and we were on phone and the workers were rude. Donuts look awful. Used to be our favorite place but now we won’t be coming back. Not worth getting gross donuts with bad service. Expensive as hell too just go to the donut shop in the Albertsons parking lot. Huge donuts there and nice workers. They actually like talking to costumers unlike this place.

Every Sunday I take my kids to get donuts after church and told them we were going to a special donut place. They both hated the donuts. I tried the caramel one with the caramel drizzle on top and it just tasted like an old piece of bread dusted with cinnamon. Definitely not going back. The lady at the counter was nice.

Definitely gourmet donuts! If you want your run of the mill donuts this isn't it. Really good donuts! The cinnamon rolls are what I come here for. Usually they look closed because the tint on the windows is so dark and the reflection of the sun does not help. People complaining about the prices as if they aren't getting better ingredients as a whole. I will say one time I had a lady who just didn't seem like she wanted to be there but no big deal. Didn't stop me from coming back to get a cinnamon roll again lol they also have a variety of different milks to choose from in glass bottles. Store is clean, little warm at times but that's probably do to the ovens or something. Not much room to sit either. If you want a gourmet donut this is it. Cinnamon rolls are GREAT!

Southern Maid is our favorite donut shop! Whenever we have time, we make our way to the best donut place in Corona. The yeast donuts are so light and the frosting is absolutely decadent. We always grab a dozen and if it's Friday or the weekend, we definitely take some freshly made beignets home. They make them right there in front of you and it is DEFINITELY worth the wait. The customer service is always top notch and they are always so patient in helping us choose what donuts to pick. The one young lady who helped us today was sweet, friendly, and super fast! Thanks for being one of our fave spots!!

Road trip, in the rain, to an event that got cancelled when we were 5 miles away. Had to find coffee and start the 3 hour plus ride home. Found this gem and mood went from crap to SNAP!! It's tucked away in the back corner but look for it, go there and support a local woman owned business. The history is cool, the place has a great vibe. Smiles all around!! Maple bar donut with bacon was my favorite. Not over the top sweet. Perfect balance. Elvis loved it, we do too!!!

I had Souther Maid doughnuts for the first time 2 weeks ago at Vista Murrieta during my son’s I9 soccer game. The customer service is great and beignets are delicious! The beignets are fresh, made upon ordering so you don’t have to worry about receiving cold beignets and did I mention how yummy they are!!!!

Ulissa was kind enough to give me and my coworkers some donuts during her visit. They were hands down some of the best donuts I've had! You can tell your products are made with love. I will definitely be stopping by in the future :)

I was lucky to run into Southern Maid Donuts at the TinyFest event this past weekend. I never heard of them before. All I knew, they had Southern style donuts. I wanted to try their beignets but they were out when I got there. This to me was an indication of their popularity. The event started at 10am...the beignets were soldout by noon. So, I opted for some caked donut holes (glazed&blueberry). Ohhh myyy, each one melted into my mouth...I couldn't stop eating them. They were light, fresh and delicious...sooo magical. I thought I could save some for later but they were all gone by the time I got home. I'll definitely check out the shop when I'm in the Corona area. You should too!!
