I’ve been coming to MCV for almost 10 years now and they never disappoint. Yes, they get very busy and sometimes you have to wait a really long time, but it’s always worth it. We usually just make a day of it and come with our laptops and food lol. Every year I notice them improving more and more so it makes you feel really good to support a small business that you actually feel like you can be a part of growing with.

Been coming here for years but this place has seriously taken a dive. Check the reviews, no need to reiterate. Also, they never answer their phone or answer emails. I swear they hate their customers, it weird. No answer in over 75 min

(Translated by Google) My husband took all his documentation and it's been 2 months since we've had any answers from them, one calls and they go straight to the mailbox. They were paid in advance for the service saying that if it was not paid, my husband's taxes would not be done. Now my husband is taking money directly from the IRS and these gentlemen, Mario, Connie's son, is not responsible. Now we are about to proceed legally since neither the papers nor the money that had been paid to them, obviously strong headaches are a sermon that they do not even answer the phone to give at least some explanation(Original)Mi esposo llevo toda su documentación y tiene 2 meses que no tenemos respuestas de ellos, uno llama y directamente andan a buzón.

Department of Justice U.S. Attorney's Office Central District of California FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Wednesday, September 19, 2018 Federal Court Shuts Down Pasadena-Based Tax Return Preparer after Finding that Her Fraudulent Returns Cost the IRS Millions of Dollars LOS ANGELES - A federal court has issued an order that permanently bars a tax return preparer who operated offices in Pasadena - as well as other cities in California, Colorado and Kansas - from preparing federal income tax returns, United States Attorney Nick Hanna announced today. Maria Del Consuelo Vazquez is the subject of a permanent injunction filed Monday by United States District Judge Fernando M. Olguin. In Monday's order, Judge Olguin also prohibited Vazquez from owning a tax return preparation business. Vasquez operated tax preparation business in Pasadena; Corona; Santa Ana; Brighton, Colorado; and Hutchinson, Kansas under a Nevada corporation she called MCV Business Network, Inc. In recent years, Vazquez filed thousands of tax returns for clients under her IRS-issued Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). According to a lawsuit filed by federal prosecutors on July 13 and testimony presented to the court, Vazquez substantially inflated or completely fabricated charitable contributions and unreimbursed employee business expenses to illegally generate federal income tax refunds for her clients or to substantially understate clients' tax liabilities. "Vazquez prepared and filed a total of 9,216 tax returns from January 1, 2015 to May 21, 2018 with her PTIN," Judge Olguin wrote. "Based on the average deficiency of $2,830.29 from her audited returns, that suggests Vazquez's fraudulent returns have resulted in harm of over $26 million to the United States from January 1, 2015 to present." This case against Vazquez was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Melissa Briggs of the Tax Division. On its website, the IRS has ten tips for choosing a tax preparer. Each year, the IRS releases the top 12 scams, known as the Dirty Dozen. Return preparer fraud is one of the IRS's Dirty Dozen Tax Scams for 2018, and taxpayers seeking a return preparer should remain vigilant. The IRS has published information on choosing a return preparer and has launched a free directory of federal tax preparers. Over the past decade, the Justice Department has obtained injunctions against hundreds of unscrupulous tax preparers and has published an alphabetical listing of persons enjoined from preparing returns and promoting tax schemes. If you believe that one of the enjoined persons or businesses may be violating an injunction, please contact the Tax Division at

I've stopped using Connie after getting audited for my 2013 taxes. I thought everything was fine and dandy until late 2015 when I got my first audit. Oh, and then I got audited for 2014 and 2012. All three years I've used Connie services, I have been audited. Over 12k I've owed the IRS! And now, the state is coming after me for the same years! Please stay away from using her services, unless you really want to pay the IRS and state more money. This is ridiculous of how many people have had this same issue, yet people still use her services. I will be looking into an attorney to fight this fraud.

I admit I was very irresponsible as a young adult, I did not file my taxes for 4 years prior to 2018. With that said I was a mess, but Connie helped me become current with everything, for THAT I'm very appreciative (reading these comments now though, make me skeptical about everything being filed honestly and legitimately). Anyways my bill for their services was around $960 give or take. Going in I told Connie I owed student loans and was afraid I wouldn't receive a return. Turns i was right, IRS took back what was theirs. no biggie. Connie OFFERED a payment plan to pay for the service SINCE THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TAX RETURN TO COVER both student loans and Connie fees. I had absolutely no problem with that. I was just grateful Connie was able to help me. A couple of weeks after filing I spoke to one of the girls at the front desk telling her that I received letters from department of education stating that my tax return was offset. Meaning I wouldn't receive anything for my pocket book and Connies office wouldn't receive payment. The girl I was speaking to had me on hold while she looked through my files I'm assuming and after a few minutes came back on the line with "good news" she said one of the multiple returns I was supposed to get back actually came through and had actually been enough to cover Connie's fees about $900 plus dollars (can't remember the exact amount but FOR SURE REMEMBER only having a balance left over of $3-$4) i was very pleased and offered to pay the remaining balance over the phone, for whatever reason she couldn't take the payment over the phone. I said I would go in and just pay in person next time I was in town. She said YOU COULD ALWAYS JUST PAY LATER OR PAY THAT NEXT YEAR WHEN YOU COME BACK FOR YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT. I took advantage of that figured what's $4 to them. I'll pay in 2019 when I file for 2018.... 2019 comes around Connie files my taxes and comes out with the "unpaid balance" for last years service of $800 and says only an amount of $160 came in through wtvr loan that didn't get devoured by the student loan debt. I told her that's not what your employee told me. How could this be!? Connie bad mouthed her employee saying she wasn't the best of employees (in my opinion was unprofessional) To then complimenting her minutes after probably realizing she's throwing her own people under the bus. At this point I told her it's not my fault the balance wasnt paid since I was lead to believe that it's been paid give. Connie said she has no idea where her employee saw this as paid or where she could've gotten this new balance. I told her in all fairness this wasn't my mistake & I still wanted a payment plan. I should basically be honored it since I was misinformed. I didn't even receive a phone call or letter from them regarding a left over balance. I know I'm partly at fault for not asking FOR A DOCUMENTED receipt. But to mock my ability to cough up $800 and not own up to her employees mistake was a huge red flag and unprofessional. Never been so upset doing business anywhere. After reading most reviews. This is the last time I do business here. I'll stick to H&R Block where the company can at least own up their mistakes.

It could be that this person does not have the necessary credentials to represent clients who are selected for audits. This might be the reason why they can only help put documents together when clients get audited and not offer them any audit representation services or guidance. Only CPAs, Attorneys, and Enrolled Agents have unlimited representation rights to assist you with federal/state audits, payments, collections and appeals. Always remember to verify the information reported on your tax return prior to signing. You are liable for what is reported on your forms. As a client, you have the right to request from the CPA/Enrolled Agent/Tax Preparer to explain every line item on your tax return before filing. Also, why wait 13 to 15 precious hours of your life for your tax returns to be prepared when there are so many reputable tax professionals out there? That is insane!

Connie Vasquez is a fraudulent woman. We are still in battle with IRS for 2012 tax year. She wrongfully put a very high numbers for our medical deductions and my employee expense, which was automatically a red flag and we got audited. Please never go to her to do your taxes. Her office personnel are unresponsive and very unprofessional. I am reporting her to IRS and hopefully her office will be locked up and go to jail for fraud. I was once told by her assistant that she herself was audited by IRS......Never ever go her please.

It was my first time going to this tax place the lady Connie seemed really nice I was referred by my boyfriend.... I did my taxes 1/29/18 but had to come back to. Ring another paper I came back on 2/2/18 also I was coming from Whittier to corona it was a long driver but I heard the business was good and they got you more money! Well I was WRONG! I had a few family members use another tax service and already got their state refund and the IRS website showed received (they also had child dependence) I was calling this place for a week every time I called they would hang up or put me on hold over 15 and pretend no one spoke English there! I called yesterday I was feed up did not want to make a 3rd drive to corona I finally spoke to Connie because I had been bugging all week ... this was on 2/17/18 I spoke to her and she gives me this BS excuse they didn't submit my taxes until I was on the phone with her at that minute she submitted them ... mind you they were supposed to be submitted 2/2/18 when I went in ... they tried to blame the IRS didn't want to accept the child credit so they submitted them late ... I would have understood if they told me that hey weren't going to do them until 2/17/18 but they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that or call me IF they needed additional info. I will not be going back here because of this I am now going to be backed up with bills and behind on my expected refund because I lost out in 2 weeks... hope this helps someone in the future... it's not even worth the stress and the headache

Stay away. Not worth my time or yours. No point of having an appointment time if you're waiting for 6+ hours. Was referred here by a friend but will try somewhere that is more professional.
