From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm and friendly faces.What truly set this store apart was the exceptional customer service. (Melissa and Ignacio) were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.Furthermore, the checkout process was seamless and efficient. Great place for all photographers needs. I was looking for new gear for my new YouTube channel. They do have everything I needed in stock, very easy financing and knowledgeable staff. Melissa helped me to get approved for the no credit needed plans they offer and Ignacio was very helpful with gear I needed. Thank you guys, will see you next time for sure.

All international “grey market” gear being sold for USA retail price. All Sales Final, No Refunds. Hope this comment helps someone to not buy any gear from Mac Star cameras & electronics. Since grey market gear has zero warranty from the original manufacturer. They don’t tell you it’s international gear they write it in small letters and All Sales Final, No Refunds.

I found them on OfferUp. They have some great gear you can get right away. Bought my Canon R8 there, and they took good care of me! Very knowledgeable and gave some great information. Mac Star is the single greatest please to purchase you camera, computer and electronics. They have restored my faith in store front businesses. Ignacio, Melissa and the other employees are the greatest! I will be purchasing most of my professional camera, lens and accessories needs from them from here on! And they have several payment plans available that can really help independent filmmakers.

If I could give them zero stars I would. WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. So disrespectful and rude. First of all they sent me a different MacBook than the one I ordered, but didn’t inform me of this until after they already had shipped it out. But I was told that they sent me one with a larger hard drive than the one I ordered, but in the end it turned out to be a lie. Not to mention a MacBook being a year older is a huge deal in Apple time! Then, after my MacBook was unfortunately stolen it took Melissa months and months to try and come up with the serial number for said MacBook, but was never able to give me the correct serial number for the MacBook I actually received. Which means I couldn’t file a police report without blacklisting the wrong computer. Melissa on several occasions said she had conferred with Ron, the warehouse manager and that the computer I told them they sent me was one that they never had, so that I had to be mistaken. I was told this on multiple occasions. It wasn’t until I informed them of the photos I had taken of my computer before it was stolen and that I had documented phone calls with Apple support involving the Macbook, that Ron the warehouse manager magically was able to to produce a serial number within minutes that matched the year and specs of mine… even though during this same phone call I was told they never even had that MacBook in their inventory at any point. :keep in mind it’s taken Melissa months to try and find this serial number after supposedly speaking to this same warehouse manager on multiple occasions. I don’t know what’s actually going on over there, but that whole situation is so crazy and ridiculous! I’ve now had to wait months to file the police report… if I had a chance at getting my MacBook back, it’s most definitely too late now. Looks like I’m out almost $2000. Whatever you do, don’t EVER order anything from MacStar camera!

The advertise in SAN DIEGO on offerup. Stop abusing local reseller sites for in person sales and lying about your location just to get more reach and beg for Google reviews.IMO this is a well deserved 1 star review from poor business practice of spamming ads in an unrelated NON LOCAL marketplace (they're over an hour outside of SD yet tons of offerup ads claiming they're in SD).
