I am completely disappointed in this company. My sister and brother in law both passed away last year in a plane crash leaving 5 minor children behind whom had to leave everything they knew and lose everything and have to leave to Texas with their aunt. My spouse (the brother) and I have been caretaking of the property since there is no one else out here in Ca to do it. We would go at least once a month to check on the belongings and make sure things were okay just until the home goes to probate court. To our surprise it was being occupied by 2 drug addicts whom decided to squat and use all the propane up. And just 2 weeks ago the squatters came back and stole whatever was valuable in the home. Now to our other suprise we tried to get propane filled in it not the whole thing but just enough so we can have someone stay there (house sit) since we are an hour away from the home and now that the squatters successfully stole almost everything, we needed someone to be there, and also we needed propane for the days we did go over and clean and make sure everything was up kept, and also being able to bathe my 1 year old. Which of course we needed propane. So my spouse called and one lady sweet as ever was like oh yeah no problem it will be 200$ for a minimum delivery. He was like okay cool! Then I called back to schedule the payment and another lady answered and then told me it was going to cost 917$!! Since as she said “ It was because it wasn’t filled in over 300 days”! I have never heard of this. And then again my sister in law called and then the manager told her that it was going to be 917$ plus another 1000$ because now they owed a propane bill!!And said we had to fill the whole thing up in order to get propane. So here I go calling back again, because I wanted to know why is it that they told us 3 different things? And also why are we being charged something that had nothing to do with us. As the manager told me he never said that to my sister in law (basically calling her a liar) and that we HAVE to pay otherwise it would count against the house. And he said he didn’t want to do that to the children???!!!! But yet what was he doing at that moment!!??? I said if it was up to me I’d have you come pick up the tank and go with someone else! But it wasn’t my call. I am disgusted with how they conducted business and believe me I will be telling everyone how scandalous and outrageous this propane company is. I do not recommend it!! 3 different stories, 3 different prices, and then to hold it against us like as if we were the owners!! And to take advantage of the situation knowing what kind of predicament we are in. The children were left with debt already because there was no will or life insurance policies. And every month that passes by the house already loses value. I’m assuming they thought we were made of money because of the home my sister and brother in law had but we are not. We had to get help from 4 different people to pitch in to pay this, because the children’s aunt lives in Texas and now has 5 more children plus her 2. And had to take on the financial burden of debt and lawyer fees, probate, and then there myself and my spouse the brother whom barely get by with what we have and have been working endlessly just to make sure things are okay at the house, and then here is this company that is not a good company! I do not recommend even starting a account with them.

I have been a customer for over 10 years because not only are KC Propane's prices fair, but they offer exceptional service. Several times I have been out of propane and they came on a Sunday to do a fill so I continued to have heat and lights until they could do a full service during the week. I continue to remain a loyal customer because they are a loyal supplier.

Was an existing customer. No communication. No response to inquiries. Excuses. Long wait times for a fill. Do yourself a favor and go with anyone else. You've been warned.

This company hires drug addicts and alcoholics to drive their giant propane trucks. Almost got hit by a KC propane truck that split through multiple solid lanes to cut in front of all the traffic. Not only that, but decides to drive that 50,000lb truck straight through a red light to avoid waiting an extra 2 minutes. Remember people, they want our money but don't care for public safety and traffic ordinance.

This company use to be caring. The past 2 years they’ve been horrible! My last 4 fill ups they don’t tell you when they are coming they just say “if they don’t come out this week they will be out next week” like what is there driver going to be like hey I think I’m going to stop off at this house today. They can atleast call to give you heads up what day your going to be on the schedule because now they have this new protocol that if you’re not home they can’t light the pilot on your water heater and they charge you 60$ to come back out to light it for you . 2 years ago they use to light it if your home or not. They are the WORST about their customers . How can you support a family business if they can care less about their customers

Been dealing with this company for months now. Left many emails and phone calls for them to come out and pick up their tank. Nobody would call back, they said there is an open balance a year later and mysteriously never received one. Then they send a new one with a huge outstanding balance even though it was paid. Customer service is not very good. You would expect a company on top of reaching to customers about the propane.

Never answers the phones. Never calls back after voicemails have been left. It’s been multiple times where we’ve ran out of propane because this company fails to answer the phones then proceeds to say they can’t do 24 hr emergency when the website and company clearly states “24hr emergency delivery’s”. Unacceptable and unprofessional.

If this company treats it customers the way it's drivers treat others on the I 15 don't hire them one of their drivers just cut me off and gave the finger.and you know what I'll be fair I was on the phone but that's no reason to treat others in such manner. Not a surprise your rating is 3.2.

I had used KC propane for close to 10 years. I loved them, they used to be amazing. I waited about a year to write this review to give them time to fix minimal issues (paying me back for the propane left in the tank, when they came and picked their tank up, as they said they would). So it wouldn't be as bad... if they were nicer I would have given them 2, maybe 3 stars. They used to be amazing. But then I was told to call the fire department and site them because they refused to fix their leaking tank (mind you even though I was paying for rent, we found the leak... they weren't even checking their tank! My husband backed into the regulator, not the tank. We paid to replace the regulator and line going into the ground. Then they leak checked my house... which was leaking bad!!! We didn't ever smell propane, ended up being under the cement, so my husband checked the tank because they didn't when they checked the house, and it was leaking from their screw plug on top. We pad a ton to fix our line, but they refused to fix their tank, they were supposed to be maintaining and checking... that's what tank rental is for and they never checked for leaks!!!) I was paying rent for. I should have reported them, but once again, they used to be so great, I really wanted to give them a chance. The owner told me to run the tank empty, and they would fix it here at my house, because they said it would cost too much to fix it at the shop. I tried calling every so often to let them know my percentage, to be kind, but also so they could keep in mind when I was out of propane I would need them to come that day or maybe the day after, as I would have no heat or no way to cook food, and it was already cold at my house. I called the last time and let them know i was getting lower, I reminded the receptionist that they wanted the tank empty, but that I can't wait to be put on the schedule once it was, she told me I'm close enough, and I asked her are you sure? She said yes and scheduled me. When the tech got here, he was soo rude and told me that he needed my tank, he refused to fix it. When I called the boss, he told me my tank wasn't 100% empty, and that his guy couldn't fix it. I told him that I let the receptionist know, but she wanted them to come anyways. I was fine with calling them when it is 100% but that they would need to come in as soon as it's empty or by the next am, we need heat (it has snowed here it does get cold and I have small children and a baby at the time, who medically needed heat). I had let him know that his rude main tech told me that even after it's empty he won't fix it because he wants to give my tank to another house. I had a 500 gallon thank from them for almost the whole time I had had them, and after 9 years of me paying tank rent (for this tank) they were refusing to fix the tank on my property or replace with another 500 gallon tank. The tech was even telling me he doesn't care what the boss says he won't do it. And when I called the boss he told me that he's sorry the guy is being rude but I won't do it then!? Like what the heck! He said for him to fix it he would cost him $1200 and it's not worth it to him... which I had been a customer for right about 10 years!!! And my friends around here have started using others before me because he was soo bad. I really wanted to give him a chance after soo long. I roughly had about 80 gallons left in my tank, which would have been say $120 at $3.00 a gallon. After all I went through and me not calling to report him, I figured that's the least he could have done... never use Kc propane!!!!

The never leave a receipt for the amount pumped. Now they can't add and have the due date 2 weeks after service (whereas the contract states 30). This is including processing and time to snail mail it to you. Now we have 7 days to pay the unexpected bill. Not only that but they skipped us a few times and we went on 5 months without seeing them. Had to call and let them know they are late. They blame us, even though we have been here for 6 years. Not only that, but they show up on the rainiest day of the year and supposedly did the annual inspection during a downpour. They can't even be bothered to claim their own business.

Christina and the team at K.C. will remind you what customer service is like at its best! Energetic, intelligent, professional and engaged in your needs! I inherited an existing service and recently needed to relocate the tank, install a new service and pull it all off with only a 1 hour shutdown.....and they knocked it out of the park! I highly recommend this blue chip team of overachievers!
