I’ve been to this business several times and never seen the owner park in the handicap. This incident just provided an opportunity for people with prejudice attitudes an excuse to attack this establishment.
Worked with me to create a great framed product for my mother. The store owner made adjustments when I requested them. I enjoyed my experience and my mother was very encouraged.

Don't shop here they are disrespectful and park in handicap ramps then lie to your face to tell you that you didn't see what you just saw.

Shades of Afrika has exceptional items for sale. The owners and staff are cool.

Great experience. I also walk by the storefront at least 5xs a month and these fake handicap parking claims are ridiculous. I don't like the use of Google Reviews and being disabled as a weapon. This is one of the best stores in Corona. This City is lucky to have them.

Great place to shop for incense and burning oil, I also come here for Black hair products and other things. The google reviews do not reflect the business itself and their ethics. It’s evident the reviews are trying to sabotage their business. I’ve been to the one in the IE and Long Beach and BOTH are great locations. They are a great business and do amazing things for the community. Shop here you won't be disappointed!

Horrible. Their hours on the door say “mon - Thursday 11am- 7pm and it’s 5pm and all lights are off. They don’t even follow their own hours. Poor business ethics.

Great place to shop for incense and burning oil, I also come here for hair products and other things. The google reviews do not reflect the actual business itself and their ethics. This is a Black owned business and although the time may be off at times, they are still a great business and do amazing things for the community. Shop here you won't be disappointed!

Owner's so so rude when I came in with a disability, they made sure to let everyone know they were the owners as well so they make the rules. I have never felt so disrespected for having a disability. I have contacted the BBB and ADA.

Wow! I’m sad at these low (and what appears to be false ratings). I’ve been to this shop multiple times and loved the experience. They have all the black owned products that I love to buy as well as books. I hope we can turn these low ratings around because they are false.

No its not a handicapped parking spot but were do you think they have to walk. I suggest putting 2 poles in front of ramp to keep the ignorant ones from blocking with their vehicles. I would never think of trying this a holes store.

Why are there so many post about a handicap ramp and the pictures clearly show a gate where the ramp leads to, which any person with common sense will know that is a load ramp. This business is a black owned business and under attack by haters that hate to see a person of color thrive.I’m still going to shop here. God bless this business and keep the devil away.

Sadly disappointed to hear that Shades of Afrika, the owner, my friend Charles was targeted with such slander and hatred. I am the previous natural hair stylist (moved on for personal family reasons). Charles (pictured) is the coolest and a very kind-hearted man, wife Vonya is just the same and more. I was with them for about ten years and I am shocked at these random reviews. They do so much for the community and anyone that made their acquaintance would know that…I’ve used the ramp to load many times in the 5 years of being at this location and never had issues…Additionally, they’ve used the ramp monthly and many times over to provide food to the community, and unloading for the store with supplies. Never staying there all day or long periods of time…never an issue! We need to stop being so sensitive and inquire, talk things out! Shades of Afrika is a business like none other and these ratings do not reflect who they are as a business, neither owners. Proud to know them. Should you visit you’ll find it worth it to revisit, and again…I’m done
