I recently visited the dealership with a pre-approval loan of $25k from my bank, hoping for a smooth transaction. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the beginning, Suzanne, who initially appeared friendly, became less accommodating when it came to discussing numbers. Despite my repeated requests, I never received a clear out-the-door price for the vehicle. My 2014 Sentra was undervalued at a mere $2000, which I found quite offensive. Despite clearly stating that my vehicle was not up for negotiation, the staff persisted, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. They even had the keys to my vehicle, my registration, and my driver's license with the "boss"The pressure continued when they suggested switching my pre-approval to another bank. Despite having a competitive offer from my bank, they presented a different pre-approval with a higher payment. Feeling increasingly uncomfortable, the laughs from Suzanne turned into tension as she repeatedly consulted her boss. After turning down multiple offers, I was surrounded by staff members presenting a final deal--$25k loan, my 2014 vehicle, and a $500 payment. When I declined, they abruptly left, leaving me feeling dismissed and disappointed and forgetting to return my belongings back to me..To add to the frustration, they initially forgot to return my car keys so I had to walk back in and on top of that, I had to return the next day for my driver's license because feeling under pressure thatI didn't realize they still had my drivers license until the next day. I had to driver 45 minutes to go and get it. The overall experience was disheartening, with a lack of transparency, persistent pressure, and a sense of being undervalued as a customer.

Absolutely awful experience. Drove over an hour to buy the pre-owned vehicle they had advertised on their website, but they would not sell me the car without forcing me to purchase some "pro pack" that was almost $3,000 additional dollars. Again, they would not sell me the car for they price THEY SET. This was not a new car, it did not have a MSRP from the factory. Ashton the sales manager set the car price with the idea that you will drive out to buy it and once you're in front of him, he will not sell you the car at the price he set it at without you buying something you don't want for an extra $3000. Insane. STAY AWAY!RESPONSE TO GENERIC NOTE FROM ASHTON: You have my contact info. If you want to rectify the situation, get in touch with me.

Moises the service tech crashed my car after servicing it & I called to ask for the manager & their Insurance information & he said the Manager was in a meeting & proceeded to argued with me about what happened. Then an hour later I get a call back from Dale the Finance Manager who said he was going to email me their insurance information because the Manager Paul Gonzalez wasn't there so I verified my email & ended the call. Then I get a text saying "Hello Christina, I spoke with my GM we need a copy of the estimate for the repairs, our policy has a 5000 deductible. so we will be paying after we see and confirm Damage
[email protected]" Then a few hours later Moises calls me to say the Manager left early because he was sick but he will give me a call tomorrow with all the information etc At this point I have AAA & am just going to let them handle everything because the lying and back and forth is exhausting. Would never buy a car from them or go back there again.

Avoid this dealer (and many others) like the plague. I can't believe I used to tell my classes, my neighbors, little league parents, and online readers that Cardinaleway Mazda was different than other dealerships. We own 3 Mazdas including a 2017 cx5 purchased new here. Took it in to get the ghost touch screen fixed. Dealer returned it with a loud rattle in the center of the dash and wanted $225 for a diagnostic fee to find the rattle. This isn't strike three - it's ball four and I'm walking

Was looking for a black CX 90 and this was the only location with multiple in stock on the lot. So glad we went here because the team is great. Angel was awesome and the whole process was very seamless. Normally I feel stressed when I go to a car dealership but they made it a very enjoyable experience. And also gave a Bundtlet cake which was so cute. Would definitely come back and recommend this location in particular!

Primarily due to the actions of one of their salespeople, Shawn. On paper, he promised me a monthly lease rate of $570, but he deceived me with a fake contract that ended up showing $608 on the Mazda Finance Service platform. Furthermore, he promised me a mileage limit of 12,000 miles a year, but I was only allowed to drive 10,000 miles. Moreover, the promised price of $570 per month was not particularly enticing to begin with. This is why I mentioned that the salesperson would resort to exceptionally enticing false promises to lure you into the dealership. Their tactics of promising one thing and delivering another are not only misleading but also disappointing. Additionally, their paperwork was consistently incomplete, and they failed to provide me with a temporary vehicle registration.During the consultation process, the sales team bombarded me with phone calls and immense pressure, making grand verbal promises to lure me to the dealership. However, after the purchase, it became nearly impossible to reach them. This unethical behavior has left me extremely dissatisfied with my experience.

BEWARE. RATS ON CAR LOT. Don't bring your car here.I brought my 2017 CX-5 into Cardinale mid-June for a transmission issue. Ultimately we had to replace the transmission. The work took about 8 weeks because we had to negotiate with the warranty company and order the new transmission before any work could be done. When I received my car back after the new transmission was installed, within 2 days the check engine light came on and the vehicle was making a terrible noise. I brought it back to Cardinale and they determined the vehicle was overheating because there were air bubbles in the cooling system likely due to them not properly refilling the coolant during the transmission work. They also determined the noise was caused by the suspension control arms going out. Again, my vehicle was on their lot for another 3 weeks or so while we waited on the warranty company and on parts. When I received my vehicle back, again within 2 - 3 days the check engine light came on. I returned to Cardinale. They told me the engine code was for an emissions leak and the number one cause is the gas cap. They replaced the gas cap and returned my vehicle to me within a few days. For the third time, the check engine light came on within 2 days of having my vehicle. I returned to Cardinale. They spent about 2, maybe 3 weeks looking at the vehicle before they contacted me and told me they found signs of a rodent infestation in my vehicle and I needed to pay for it to be cleaned and sanitized before their mechanics could continue assessing the damage. Prior to my vehicle being on their lot for approximately 12 weeks, we never had any check engine light issues and there were no signs of rodent activity. My vehicle gets washed weekly, I never leave trash in it and we don't have a rodent problem at home. We complained, and they decided to cover the cost of the vehicle cleaning and sanitization. This time their mechanics determined the engine light was caused by a crack in something attached to the top of the engine. They replaced the part and called me to pick up my car assuring the proper repairs were completed. It's now the first weekend in October.Cardinale has claimed there was no vehicle damage caused by the rats and the check engine light issue has been resolved. Clearly, I have little faith that is true. Cardinale has yet to apologize for and take responsibility for the rat infestation in my car. Its alarming that their car lot is covered in rat traps but they tried to blame me for the rat infestation. They maintain there is no engine or electrical damage caused by the rats, but after all this I have no reason to trust them. My peace of mind is gone. I commute on the 91 freeway into OC everyday and rely on my vehicle to get me there safely. I don't feel safe driving my vehicle anymore and frankly don't trust that another problem won't arise as a result of the rats. Cardinale has minimized this situation and skirted my concerns. They have exhibited extremely poor customer service and made excuses at every turn. Beware if you bring your vehicle here, you may get blamed for a rat infestation.

I'm very disappointed with how the "DUE BILL" didn't get handled. The fixes promised have not been handled or acknowledged. The biggest one is the 3rd row passenger seat doesn't come down, rendering the cargo capacity useless. I have a baby and need to carry a stroller, which is very difficult without that 3rd row coming down. I have reached out in several occasions about the fixes promised and it's been 4 months without "a call to schedule the fixes". I'm infuriated with how they have handled this matter as I've been polite and understanding up to this point. Not to mention, when I arrived to see the vehicle advertised online, it had close to 10k MORE MILES on it than advertised, and if I hadn't noticed, they would have sold it to me at the exact same price. They also haggled with me on how much "10k miles" depreciated the value. By the way its been 4 months since the sale and still no avail as to when they will fix my 3rd row. I haven't filed a claim to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU yet but I'm planning to.... I had a pleasant sale (considering the surprise of 10k extra miles) up to this point but salesmen sell and then don't care to keep customers happy.

This place is the exact reason car dealerships have the cringy reputations they are so well known for. Needing to downsize my car now that my youngest has his drivers license. Found a good small used car here for sale...the vehicle being available and on-site was confirmed multiple times (via phone calls and text message w/ photos) with my husband and a salesman. What a shocker..we drive 30+ miles; wait at this salespersons desk for 20+ minutes for him to tell us the car is unavailable. To which he offered us a tank of gas for our trouble. Lolololol!!!!!!What a clown. The worst part...we had a similar experience here a few years ago too. We were foolish to think they changed their ways. Bait and switch is in full effect at this dealership. Buyer beware. The salesperson was Taylor. Read other reviews about him on here...at least he's consistently untrustworthy. **I also posted this same review on Yelp to help others in the market for a used vehicle**
