I usually don't write bad reviews, but I feel that I need to share my recent bad experience with the Transmission Clinic shop. Two weeks ago, I took my Ford van to their shop for transmission repairs. The mechanic initially estimated that the repair would take five days, and we agreed on a price. However, I was later informed of additional costs due to a better rebuild using new "Heavy-Duty" parts and other replacements that the mechanic recommended, which increased the total amount to $4,192.
After a week of repairs, I paid the mechanic, picked up my van, and started driving it. I noticed that the transmission was vibrating and still not working properly. Upon inspecting the parts, I noticed that the transmission installed was actually used and was not a rebuild with new "Heavy-Duty" parts as the mechanic promised. There was a sticker with a barcode and red pen markings on the transmission, similar to junkyard markings. When I raised this issue with the mechanic, he refused to show me the packaging or receipts of the new parts he used and dismissed my request. He asked me to leave my van for another week for further inspection, which I agreed to. However, when I sought a second opinion from other transmission parts stores, they told me that the mechanic should be able to get the issue fixed in one day and that I have the right to know which parts were replaced. I was upfront with the mechanic from the beginning about the fact that I am a mobile locksmith and I use my van daily to earn a living. Costly repairs for the van that take a long time would cause me to lose customers and not make a living, but the greedy mechanic didn't seem to care. and the owner son had a bad attitude and was very rude

He’s very fair, over 20 years experience. He will work with you and he’s fast. I saw him tear down a transmission in 15 minutes!

Today, I went to A Transmission to get a diagnostic on my 2014 Chevy Silverado, after Angel drive my truck,he came back and did inform me that the truck had no issues and he didn't find any signs of improper performance. Though Angel dodging me some very valuable information regarding the V4/V8 engagement on my truck as courtesy and some other valuable information.The owners wife (Cathy) was just as knowledgeable as well. They were very honest and it was blessing to have gone there today to have their experience on my truck to have shared it with me. I will definitely refer people to you for service and repairs for cars. Thank you!!Jack!

I recommend coming here. Customer service is great and honest here. Came here thinking my gear on the transmission was damaged, but fernie took care of my problem. Turns out it was just my clutch and the fly wheel, and he even replaced my main seal on the engine. Thank you fernie

Not sure why I waited so long to write a review, maybe Im a bit skeptical when it comes to dealing with mechanics. I was at the point where one thing after another was going wrong with my vehicle. After taking it to several different shops and either they didnt fix it or in the case of the transmission they made the problem worse. But thank God I found Fernie and A-1 . It was around 8 months ago and since he worked on the car i have not had a single problem he fixed everything and I would highly recommend this shop. It is so rare to find a mechanic who takes pride in his work.

Thanks to yelp reviews I came across this gem shop one of a kind. I just want to give a big shoutout to the staff they are friendly / helpful especially Kathy she is very informative and shows that she loves what she does thank you being patient through the process of getting my vehicle taken care of she is amazing and such a big help. Willing to go out her way to give you the best service she has your back 100%. Also Ferine and Angel for working on my car just know your vehicle is in good hands here.

Fernie was outstanding and gave me the truth about my F-150 transmission repair. He pulled the codes and recommended a valve body replacement and did not try to sell me a whole new transmission. He got me in quick and repairs were done in one day. Price was excellent with great service. Highly recommend this shop.

I recently went to A transmission clinic a few weeks ago to get my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 transmission fixed and the experience was very professional, fast, and reliable! I've had no issues with my transmission and truck since and it feels almost brand new! They installed a new transmission unit and fixed my oil leaks by replacing my seals and gaskets in only 3 days! The recommended torque converter really helps make the difference too. I've had other friends use this business and also have great experiences so if you're looking to get your transmission fixed or replaced definitely come here! This has to be the best transmission shop in Corona and the owners are very honest and trustworthy, they walked me through the process and even fixed a delay in my transmission display. Definitely come here and I will be back for any transmission issues in the future. They even included a warranty in my order in case anything goes wrong but I doubt I'll have to use this. You're money will best be spent here for a reliable and top of the notch service!

My Honda Accord needed a new transmission. This place was recommended by my mobile mechanic. They did a fantastic job, and now there is no "missing" when I drive the car. I didn't realize that A Transmission also provides other services, so this is the place I will go to have my brake job done soon.

I definitely warmly recommend this shop. They came in clutch with my clutch problems on an old Chevy Aveo. Customer service by Jesus was awesome, took the car out for a drive, diagnosed the problem and gave me the best price in the area.Also went above and beyond for me, to drop the car off early before my work and have it done before I finished so, that my coworker dropped me off and I didn't need a day off. Showed me the replaced parts, new ones installed and have me drive it with him to see the end product.Great communication and great service.Update: Another great visit, and 5 stars confirmed :)

The customer service it's horrible, specially with the son's owner. He has a bad attitude and treat me like I was doing him a favor, not as a value customer, besides he was very rude, that's not the way to response to a client. Definitely will not trust this guys to fix anything in my car.
