I understand why this store has such bad reviews. The service was terrible at the deli. We had been waiting by the sandwich counter and when Andy finally came up he told us we would have to wait because door dash was on its way and he had to make their order first. We were right there in person and only wanted one sandwich and had been waiting and he made a door dash order of 5 and made us wait. We ended up leaving everything we were going to buy. We won't be back. Not to mention all of their ready to eat sandwiches were packed on 5/17 and 5/18 and most had wilted turning lettuce so those weren't an option we were willing to take a chance on 5 days after preparation. The floral department had a nice assortment and the rest of the staff were nice enough when we had a question of where to find the restroom, but Andy at the deli was really off putting and curt with us and made it quite clear he really didn't want to be making sandwiches or talking to us.

The deli people need better management. They're either talking among themselves about work place drama....short on hot case foods during lunch hour....or, especially in the instance of the young man working there today, lacking people skills and general incompetence.

A favorite stop of mine on road trips to pick up supplies North or Southbound. Love the dell's fresh spaghetti and chicken parmesan. There's an Orielly's and a Subway and a Best Western and Starbucks.

Went here today and when I walked into the store a Rat ran across their produce department just a dirty Safeway not like Chico at all

When you put a sign by an item and your told oh no it's wrong you should still give the customer that price. You lost a customer yesterday. Customer service is zero at this store. Your young cashiers checking cell phones long nails no smiles anymore. It's awful. We have shopped at this day since day 1.

This has happened on multiple occasions. I'm standing at the deli waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Which they look around at each other before one person says anything. And the lady asks me , Do you want something?? Well shoot lady I'm not standing here to watch you eat scraps of lunch meat. Yes I do. I told her it's I'm standing here for a reason. Is it too hard to say can or may I help you. The way it's always said is like the customer is bothering them. Ladies if us customers didn't patronize your deli, you would be out of work. Chico, ca deli staff helps you with a smile. These people could use etiquette lessons. No stars

Covid-19 Trainwreck.Store is not enforcing covid-19 safety guidelines. Customers walking around the store without masks. When I ask someone if they sell coffee to go, they responded no, because of covid-19. Yet the store chooses not to enforce the state-mandated guidelines.

Store policies allowing employees AND customers to work and shop without masks puts everyone at risk of contracting CV19.
