Thoroughly enjoy Tara and Yoga-Sol. If you want chanting, pseudo-spirituality, and the like this ain't it. If you want humor, fun, personable and functional instruction: this is the place! I love Tara's quirky, playful demeanor. It makes the classes go by quickly and without feeling effort-full my practice has deepened significantly.

Tara teaches a "come and git it!" kind of class. If you're looking to heal your inner wounded child, this isn't for you. But if you want to be pushed and get 'er done, come on down! Tara is very knowledgeable and can provide the perfect stretches and modifications, depending on what you ask for. I think of her as a drill sergeant and I like that!

I adore Tara and Yoga Sol. Tara’s experience and expertise as an instructor shine through when you take her yoga classes. She checks in with you to see how your body is feeling and, if necessary, competently guides you through modified poses tailored to your needs. Tara is patient, fun, and motivational. I highly recommend Yoga Sol.

Yoga Sol is the finest yoga establishment in the country. Tara leads a group of highly qualified, enthusiastic and knowledgeable practitioners. You will not find a person more dedicated to the health and well being of others. I strongly recommend that everybody make Yoga Sol a part of their daily routine.

For some reason this is coming up with my Husband’s name but anyway. This is Shelly Nelson. I’ve been doing sessions with Tara for a year now. It has been amazing. She is not only a great instructor but also a great person. She pays attention to every single person so that they can achieve their goals and surpass them. Thank you Tara!!!

I started attending classes at Yoga Sol in 2008, took the teacher training course with Tara a few years later, and was a regular student both at the original location and later at the Concord Blvd. location. Tara's teaching is second to none, and the teachers she hired for the studio are unparalled in the industry in my experience. Being able to teach 15-20 adults in a class with students of all skill levels, remember everyone's special needs and injuries, and provide appropriate modifications for each individual in the class while also keeping up a pace that challenges veterans takes experience, practice, and dedication. I've taken a LOT of yoga classes both in person and online, in California and other states I've visited or lived in, and studios that provide this kind of care and attention to their teaching are few and far between. Tara, the owner, is also highly skilled as a private teacher for individual students who want to deepen their own practice, address specific injuries and individual issues, or just have skills they want to improve. I highly recommend checking out Tara's classes for anyone of any level who is interested in a fun, caring, safe, and challenging yoga experience.

Great place. I signed up a couple years ago to recover from knee surgery. I am grateful to say I am at 100% full recovery with no limitations on my knee. Yoga Sol teaches you proper techniques and pushes you to reach your potential. Tara is a great teacher with the patience and mindfulness of her students. Thank you Tara. My experience has been great.

Absolutely love yoga sol! I met Tara (the owner) when she started yoga in the park series, I fell in love with her classes. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable on yoga and the body, she's warm, fun, funny and created a welcoming space for new students. She's helped me heal injuries I've had from weightlifting, and she always keeps me challenged and motivated in class.

Tara is the best yoga instructor I have ever had. She pushes you to be your best and is very inspiring with a great sense of humor. I feel my best when I am consistently taking her classes. I highly recommend anyone in the area to make it a part of their daily schedule. It’s such an amazing way to de stress!

Tara is the best! She brings a sense of fun to yoga that you don’t often get. Her energy is great and I love how she explains each pose and its purpose. She guides us through where to focus on our bodies and I feel confident that I won’t injure myself when I’m learning with her. Take a class with Yoga Sol, you won’t regret it!

Tara is a great yoga instructor. I tell her my this bone or that muscle giving me hard time and she figures out which pose or stretches I need and it work . I call her musculoskeletal whisper. She is very professional. I been with yoga sol since 2014. I highly recommend Yogasol with Tara.

The teachers and actual classes are amazing. However, they need to know a little more about injuries before suggesting certain stretches or moves after you communicate your issue. They aggravated my meniscus and I ended up having surgery. They won't properly honor any groupon because they have lots of secret fees (pay to put stuff in a locker, pay for a towel/mat, pay to have a pass to return, pay for everything) they are like Frontier or Spirit Airlines, LOL. But that is not the worst part, LOL. The owner is .... I don't curse but she is UNKIND and snotty. I have never felt so dehumanized every time I PAY to go to a place. She needs to never open a business where she serves any customers. Even the instructors cringed when she came around and when I explained how she said NO to everything they had approved. They were uncomfortable working with her. And to think, I gave Yoga Sol a shout out on IG when I began because of their wonderful instructors. And this was her nasty attitude as I patroned them before and during the beginning of a pandemic. I am not surprised they closed/moved. If they moved...please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The gall to now advertise as a "black owned" business and then to treat (any of ) your customers, particularly who are POC or Black, so disrespectfully. That is a joke.

I'm a power lifter. I feel off my bike riding down mt diablo and injured my shoulder trying to break my fall. This yoga place helped me regain my motion. I was afraid of being in a yoga space because I'm not flexible., but they helped me with pillows and cushions to help me get into the poses. Very grateful to them.

Yes I was there one time more than enough, the owner scream at her employees in front of a full clase. But I guess you did it so many times you may not remember.
