I went to this store as a "treat" - as I usually shop elsewhere due to pricing. I was in the store around 2pm. The hot food bar was a "hot mess" and empty - only crusted stuff in corners left. The salad bar wasn't any better. I would have bought salad but there wasn't any lettuce or spinach. If a lunch crowd comes through - restock for the afternoon shoppers! Also empty was the fresh sourdough breads section. There was one loaf left. I will not be shopping at this location again. Employees everywhere - but no one restocking anything. Anyone with eyes could see things needed attention. That falls on management. I expected more out of Whole Foods. I still gave 3 stars because the food I did buy was good.

All you could hope for at prices that are a bit higher than most. Great selection of quality food though.

Whole Foods... you disappoint me. Not with the selection, but with the employees who work there. I been seeing this viral post of $1 oysters at Whole Foods, I asked someone, he seem like he work at the meat dept, I asked if there's dollar oysters since I came in on a Friday, HE WAS VERY MOODY. and was like " NO. WE NEVER EVER HAVE OYSTERS " like damn lol what crawled into his butt, then the cashier lady tell my sister bc she wanted to pay w her amazon prime card, & she goes straight up " ITS NO DEALS TODAY " so I asked her, y'all got oysters, she's like ummmm I don't know . But like how you knw there's no deals but don't knw if y'all got oysters & told me to go ask customer service lol. I guess being cashier isn't customer service bc they seem like they are a top dog at grocery stores idk lol. But y'all, concord workers are a different Breed LOL. The whole foods in Oakland is way better and so much more nicer (the employees) Concord is like a place where mfs hate their job lol - The guy who work at meat section believed he wear glasses, tall, Caucasian man who seem grumpy and tired all the time - cashier lady was Latina, short, very frizzy hair like, a bit big boned.

I usually always shop here. Today, I went in and got my normal groceries and asked for assistance in finding tortillas, and found a lady who worked there who kindly helped me, hence 2 stars. However, when I was checking out at self checkout, the lady monitoring the self checkout area literally came over to the area and was intently watching me from 2 self checkout stands away from me like she thought I wasn't going to pay. I have a young-looking face for a 25-year old, but it just felt so discriminatory and rude. As soon as I paid, she went back to where she was standing originally further away. I was really offended by this

Each time I shop here I am more impressed. It is just a delight to experience such outstanding service. The staff is so helpful and friendly, always going above and beyond to make sure I am finding everything I need or to answer any questions I may have. It is a bit of a longer drive for me compared to the WF in Lafayette but the Lafayette store has disappointed me for the last and final time. Twice I have paid for items that never made into my bag. Neither time was I apologized to for my inconvenience. The last time I was at the Lafayette location, two employees were in a loud verbal altercation right next to me. Then the deli gal was arguing with a co worker while helping me. Then the sliced salami she gave me was all wadded up in a ball. There was no way I could serve it so I had to throw it in the trash. I could share at least 5 more bad experiences about the Lafayette location but more about the Concord store. Clearly the Store Manager values the staff here and they are happy and they put the customer first. Keep up the good work. I will continue to drive a longer distance to have a better experience and reduce the stress of shopping at the Lafayette location.

First time ordering from the market sandwich at Whole Foods, I was pleasantly surprised. Will be returning for sure.

AMAZON RETURN REVIEWTo clarify, this is NOT a review of Whole Foods...this IS A REVIEW of the amazing change for Amazon Returns using the self-service kiosk. In a word...CAUTION!This is like going to the DMV, possibly worse. I get that Amazon is convinced that technology will save us but this is kind of a "swing and a miss" IMO. I had the advantage of watching a couple of people struggle through their return so I was prepared when the WF employee pointed at me and then the kiosk and said "You can go ahead now." Did I mention that she had come over to bail out a poor lady ahead of me whose return boxes didn't fit in the kiosk?! And she stuck around to help the pair in front of me whose return box also looked doubtful to fit in the kiosk drop box.My general impression is that if Amazon determines the return item won't fit in their kiosk drop box then you will not get that location as a return option. Is it a foolproof system? No, because of the one variable that Amazon cannot control...their customer. So after trying a few times to get the entire original shipping box to fit into the kiosk drop box, that poor lady finally figured out that she needed to remove the items from the big box and only 'bag & tag' the contents. I think all seven of us waiting in line behind her learned that valuable lesson by proxy.P.S. (psst, Alexa...technology will NOT save the world!)

Really disappointed in the service here. The workers don't really seem to care. We used to come here every Sunday morning and get the hot and ready breakfast and in the last few months they stopped serving half of what they would put out. Every time I ask nobody can give me an answer. They put out eggs and yogurt but stopped the chicken and gravy bacon and sausage all the good stuff. And then they have their salad bar ready at 9am? Makes no sense. Get it together and get friendlier staff that cares about their customers otherwise you're bound to go out of business.

This is regarding the new Amazon return process. New self service machine which causes a huge line to form in produce and takes a lot more time to complete. Amazon might as well give me a paycheck for doing their job.

This place is slipping. With all the corner-cutting, it is no longer an enjoyable experience. To add to the overall decline in quality (look at the last like five 1-star reviews in a row), they are getting straight-up cheap in terms of providing an elevated customer experience. Latest example: The self-return Amazon kiosk. What once (as in just weeks ago) was a simple, smooth, easy process involving a real-life human and a 30-second interaction is now a full-blown annoying process. There is no table on which to stuff the returns into the poly bags. The poly bags were also WAY too small for my return, meaning I had to MacGyver a method to make it work, on the floor, with five other customers breathing down my neck. Amazon, one of the world's affluent behemoths, is pinching pennies, and the consumer is suffering.

So today, thought I'd try their New Menu in the Deli~ The new menu Looked amazing!!! Well $30 later, not one of the 3 Sandwiches we ordered were right or even edible! We were informed that they only had Dutch Crunch that they were out of other rolls or bread..I was ok.... First Mistake! Guess they were Dutch Stone! Hard as a Rock. I ordered the Chimichurri Crunch Sandwich..... The description sounded wonderful well half of the things they offered weren't even on the sandwich.I ordered it exactly as it was on the board. #2 Sandwich was a Spicy rosemary, ham, and Geneva salami with all these yummy extras... Well, the sandwich was inedible. The spicy stuff was so hot. You couldn't even taste anything else on the sandwich. When I open the sandwich to see it, there was no salami they had put pepperoni on it. Yuck!!!! The 3rd sandwich was again so dry. It was hard to choke down the chicken and goat cheese with arugula. This might've been the only sandwich that was made right but it tasted horrible dry, dry, dry . The new menu looked good, but they sure do not provide what it says on the menu board! Very Disappointing....

This store is dissimilar to the Whole Foods in Ygnacio Valley. It didn't have the stuff on my regular Whole Foods shopping list and I, frustratingly, wasted time looking around.Maybe Amazon should give this particular store different branding from the regular Whole Foods stores so that people will know ahead of time that it's not the same.

Went in to buy my usual henhouse today and the price is usually 15.49 it was four prices listed underneath their cans at 15.49 one of them saying seasonal can. I went up to the register to pay and it rang up 24.35. I told her they were listed at 15.49, The lady went to check came back and tried to tell me there was an alcohol tax so I had to talk to the manager. Alejandra denied me of the price that was listed and told me she cannot honor it. Needless to say I'll probably be going to the liquor store from now on to grab my beer.

My husband & I were just in Whole Foods in concord and received very bad service, we're walked up to the express checkout and the open light was on, I asked the man who's name was dave if he was open and he said yes but I'm busy, he was emptying a box that I guess could not wait, he was very rude and very unprofessional, I'll say this if he is working when I go back in, I'll go elsewhere ..... I guess customers don't come first according to his behavior
