Nicole worked with my mini Goldendoodle puppy, Benji and me since he was about 4 months old. Although I had also been taking Benji to group training for his socialization, having training at home was invaluable. Nicole is so attentive to the little things I would never have noticed that needed to be addressed. Making the adjustments she shared was so helpful in Benji's training. Nicole is thorough, warm and shares so much good information - during the session and after. I highly recommend her!

We loved training with Rachelle here. She's a great teacher and so good with the dogs AND the people. The small classes are nice and help keep the dogs focused. Our pup was totally different after his first round of classes here, and we will be back soon for another round!

We brought home a 14 wk old Tibetan Terrier. We needed to have her in a crate but she wasn't having it. She screamed, not barked, whined or howled literally screamed, bit and clawed at the crate and panted even while sleeping. I couldn't leave the room for a second or she would loose it. I was so stressed that I considered returning her to the breeder but I wanted to give it my best try so I emailed Tailored Dog Training on a Friday. Ally emailed me back within 2 hours and we arranged for a phone session. She was so nice and gave me some very helpful things to do. My puppy went to bed in her crate Friday night with a bit of struggle but with the tips given she calmed down and by 11:00 she was sleeping. She woke up and yelped a few times for a short bit but by early morning she was fine and had a 4 hour stretch of sleep! This, for me, was a miracle. I had hope and could see a future with this puppy. I continued to do the things that Ally recommended, it is now Sunday morning and our baby has minimal issues with being in her crate. We are still working because we are no where near perfect but I can sleep and take a shower and potty train her . Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

My puppy has been coming here for a few months and has blossomed into a well adjusted older puppy because of it. I love the fact that you leave your puppy so that they get more confident being without you. When she first started coming she was really nervous around people and other dogs, but has since grown immensely in her confidence. She has loved coming here to play and it has been so beneficial for her. So glad I found this place!

Amazing positive training for your pup! Excellent trainers and the concord facility is large! I had a terrible training experience with another local "dog trainer" so I was hesitant to try again. You'll never be unhappy if you use tailored dog training! Price is worth the attention to detail and knowledge of the trainers. Only downside is finding a training time that both my partner and I can attend!

The trainer was good but I didn't get the training I was seeking for my dog. He knew all the tricks taught prior to going to the classes. I was hoping to learn how to teach my dog from not pulling. I used the " touch" method but it doesn't work when he really wants to go. Also wanted him to be less afraid of people and things but that was not taught. My dog caught on very quickly to all that was taught. Unfortunately he can be a stubborn puppy.

Awesome experience here getting my mixed breed dog CGC certified just in time for our big move! Very helpful staff who make training very accessible and well paced. Recommend them to all my friends and family in the area. The pic in my review is of Sable before and after her CGC test, she was not as amused as we were lol.

I reached out with some questions and Willow was quick to reply with not only info on my puppies mix, but with the information regarding what they offer, and links to the info online. I loved the enthusiasm, and pleasant and quick service. As soon as our pup is old enough I'm definitely signing her up for her training here. I'll post another review once she starts attending!

If you're looking to get some fantastic training for you and your best dog, look no further! We've had some personal health issues and we're unable to properly exercise our rambunctious pup for a while, so I called expecting to schedule a few sessions just get her tired out. Instead, these folks have augmented the training we do at home AND she comes home happy and tired! They even give me a report on what they worked on, how she did, and tips to reinforce the lessons! Simply the best!!

Lucy is learning so much here. We adopted her a month ago. She is four months and she's been coming here about three weeks. Definitely recommend this dog training and puppy day camps. We have had two classes with David and Lucy really responds to him. All the instructors have been knowledgeable and professional. Watch their online videos as they help to reinforce what we learn in class. Five star training. Tailored was recommended by our vet, Dr Virk, and by Pet Food Express. Thank you Tailored Dog Training.

Multiple times a day I get stopped and asked what I did that my dog is so well trained. My secret is Tailored Dog Training. We brought home our first dog ever (a Vizsla) last spring and right away started sending him to puppy socials at Tailored. After the puppy socials, I opted for the socials that included training, and from there I sent Winston to Mini Day School. Winston has petfect recall, which is why I get asked so often how I trained him. Of course, it takes a lot of practice to reinforce the training he's received, but it wouldn't have been possible without the wonderful trainers at the Concord facility. For mini day school, they send home report cards which were very informative but also soo cute. The socials are excellent as well because you can watch a Livestream so you're actually seeing how they're doing the training -- I learned more from those than any celebrity trainer book or YouTube video. Winston runs about 12 miles a day while we bike, and it doesn't matter where we are, people stop us in awe of how well behaved he is -- we've had lifelong dog parents stop us and even people who don't even like dogs! Winston's name has preceded him in our neighborhood, because strangers stop us to ask if he's the dog they've heard about who runs a lot and is so well trained! What I loved most about Tailored is how much the trainers love the dogs. They truly seem invested in the well-being of the dogs and want to see them succeed. That coupled with their expertise seems to be why Winston responded to them so well -- Winston LOVED Tailored. We're getting another Vizsla this fall and will absolutely be taking her to Tailored, though we don't anticipate she'll need as much training since we know she'll learn such good habits from Winston. Thank you Nicole K, Shelley, Cat, David, and the rest of the Tailored staff for the excellent training, and for all of the guidance you provided to help us reinforce your training at home!

Our experience with Tailored Dog Training has been fantastic. We needed help with separation anxiety, over excitement and wanting to play with every dog we encountered on walks, as well as reinforcing recall and focus when distracted. Our boy Tucker (an 82 pound and very strong, happy 2.5 year old Labrador Retriever/Bernese Mountain Dog mix), fell in love with our trainer Nicole right away, and was always super happy to see her. We began with 3 private 1:1 sessions with Nicole, and were super impressed by her professionalism, knowledge, and total love for her job. We had one of our 1:1 sessions at our house where we learned and practiced recall with distractions. The second 1:1 session was outside the training center where where we learned and worked on de-sensitization to unfamiliar dogs and surroundings, as well as not pulling to go smell every bush and tree. The third 1:1 was at our local park where we further learned and worked on recall with distractions, more de-sensitization to other dogs and people, and walking nicely on leash without pulling. We received detailed notes after each training session that covered everything we learned and practiced. It’s great to have those notes to refer back to. If we emailed Nicole with a question about anything, she always responded in a timely way. We just completed our three 1:1 private sessions last week, and the results we have had with Nicole and Tailored Dog Training have been more than we could have hoped for. Tucker is learning to feel safe in his own “space” inside our house, and we have been able to leave him for short times. We are building up to longer stretches of time. Leaving him prior to training with Nicole was impossible. He is also becoming a champ at not overreacting to other dogs (or cats. . . ), and I no longer worry about dislocating my shoulder if Tucker decides to make a run for it. Tucker also understands what to do if he wants to stop and smell during a walk. We really benefitted from the 1:1 sessions, and are very excited to begin Level 2 Obedience group classes at Tailored Dog Training next week. We highly recommend Tailored Dog Training. If you, like us, previously took a training class at one of the large retail Pet-oriented chain stores, but found it to be inadequate, I would encourage you to consider Tailored Dog Training. The trainers are at TDT certified, not “in-store” trained, and the training center itself is an impressive facility. It’s been a game-changer for us!

Rude. I signed up for any trainer and paid the fee. They canceled and said that they don't have the trainer I selected to come to my house in Concord but I can go to the Concord facility. Seriously? You can't come to Concord but you're already in Concord. No thanks. They offered me to come to the faculty for groups. No thanks! If I wanted that I would have requested that. The whole point is I wanted a private consult. Sorry if that is not convenient for you to come to Concord?? I do mean cancelled and NOT rescheduled. Totally blew me off. I could have rescheduled but nope! They didn't give that option. If I wanted a group I had a lot more options than just you to spend my money. Obviously you don't care about people. I am less than 2 miles from your place and you advertise private sessions in my area and beyond. I feel like it was a total bait and switch. I will not risk myself going into a public group during a pandemic. Shame on you. Update in response: Then why advertise on your website and waste people's time and money if you have no intention of going less than two miles away from your facility? Seriously. I signed up since it specifically said my city. I selected anyone. I was fine with whoever. I don't know what you keep saying the person i selected when I didn't select anyone! Don't turn this around on me. I don't want to go anywhere or I would have looked into other places. The issue is very specific to the location of my house. You can not replicate it anywhere. But it is apparent I am not convenient enough to go the 1.7 miles down the street as advertised on your website. Just stop blaming me.
