“The first day I came by they were closing. The manager stayed 30 minutes past closing with me to get me set up. Second month, had a billing issue. Talked to the manager and she solved it promptly. It’s not about being perfect it’s about showing effort and she does that foresure!”

Mike at the front desk is THE guy every business wants representing them. The unit is easy to get into and there’s even a free cart to use to help roll everything into the unit.”

“So let me tell you right off the bat that Justin the owner is great!!... so far. hoping to stay here for many years. Did a tour with Justin and he was very informative, and did'nt sell me anything. The customer service spoke for itself. the property is great and they have great surveilance, security, and access control. The set up is great. More than I initially wanted to spend but you can't put a price on a piece of mind. Things did'nt work out at the other facilities for a reason! Thanks again Justin I appreaciate you!”

“I would like to share my experience with Mount Diablo Self Storage.
For over 15 years I rented storage space for my business and personal use, and at times I had up to three units. They are always clean, professional and especially reachable which wasn’t the case from other companies I’ve used in the past. There’s nothing glamorous about storage, you just need everything to work when you need access and reach someone when you need them. By the way… Manager lives on site.

“Privately owned and seems to be well run (so far, just moved in). Being private is nice since the corporate places (Public Storage etc) engage in unscrupulous practices, hitting you with incessant rate hikes etc. I picked Abba as they review/adjust prices once a year and it's tied to inflation. Definitely better than the greedy corporate storage companies.
The unit itself was clean and easily accessible, there are two gates with coded entry.”
“This Storage is a Great! Right off hwy 242. The property is well maintained! I know it's because of the current manager Raina she does an excellent job in keeping this Location always running smoothly, it's always clean, gives you the impression that your things you have to store are cared for. Things get broken or go out lights, gate, trash. Everything she takes care of immediately. I'd stay at this location because of the management.
I've been renting, using Storages a lot at several locations for my business. This is the best kept up one where I actually feel positive about it.”
“Ah, the American phenomenon that is storage. Interestingly enough, you cannot find this in the far east. It just doesn't exist. Americans are pack rats! Including yours truly (getting better about it though.)
It was really easy to work with Lauren, the manager at this location.
I do dislike the phone process of Central Self Storage overall. Everything is routed through a call center. You can never directly call your location to speak with on-site staff. I guess if you have a large portfolio of storage units, this economy of scale makes sense for the owner, but not the customer since the overseas call center doesn't know anything, can't make meaningful changes to your account and is only taking a message basically and you will get a "call back."
That said, if it wasn't for solid operational teams at the street level like with Lauren, this chain of storage units would be in trouble.
Other than that, can't complain. Everything was secure, nothing caught on fire (one storage place in the past had that problem) and I always felt like my belongings were very secure at this facility.
I'm a bit fascinated with the facility's box truck which is hardly used. It's for rent, it's not included. There's a discount during your first two weeks...but U-Haul is cheaper still. That's a six figure prop basically. Odd way to spend money. How about not do crazy capex projects like that and just pass on the savings to the customers? Sorry, my business manager brain just won't shut up.”

The woman at the first desk said she meant to call me but to make it up she gave me a discount. When I switched the reservation for the next day, the manager (believe his name was Brodee) still offered the discount and the trailer rental was seamless with all the employees I interacted with. All in all, didn't start off well but their customer service and thoughtfulness more than made up for it! Will rent again from them for sure.”

“The staff (Tim & Rachael) at Storage Mart on Clayton road are absolutely amazing! They are friendly, helpful and extremely professional! I’ve been a customer for several months now and I’ve had nothing but favorable experiences! I recently moved from the 3rd floor to a smaller unit on the first floor and couldn’t be HAPPIER! Again, both made this minor transition equally as seamless as my initial move in!
I RECOMMEND Storage Mart, if you’re looking for a location that’s SAFE, CLEAN with “great hours” and Amazing Staff, then the Clayton road location is the place for you! ?
