I’m 4 class into the ceramic wheeling throwing class with instructor Chung. We have an hour of learning and then a few hours of practice. During the practice sessions, Chung would personally assist each of us on how to improve our throwing technique. Sometimes, we’ll see instructor Yee, whom adds on the extra fun of banter in the classroom. They also have open studio so that students can practice during the week. Special out out to Cassandra! Thank you for being super responsive and delightful to be around. Overall, everyone at the studio is amazing, and i love the welcoming atmosphere!!

This studio is filled with great instructors and students. It's always kept clean and organized. There are many options for glazing, and different options of clay that are held at the studio for purchase.I appreciate this place being more of a class setting than those one-time activities for date night or to hang with friends, because ceramics takes awhile to get a good handle on. Plus there is a process of the bisque and glaze fire which cannot be done in a day.My recommendation is to take the 8-week class and show up to every class. At the end of the course, I'm sure you will have a better understanding of pottery.

The Owner Roger is dedicated to his craft. Knowledgeable and friendly. What a wonderful place to to ceramics in the east bay. We are lucky to have them around. Cone 10 fired ceramic studios are becoming rare, and they are great at what they do.

I really love learning ceramics at this studio. Roger is a pleasure to work with, and his patient and gentle demeanor make it easy to want to keep coming back. We’ve already signed up for our second class, and are likely to want a membership at some point. There are a lot of resources too that mean I have a lot of different areas to explore and get good at

Roger is an experienced ceramics instructor and overall great person! I luckily had his instruction for over a year and improved greatly. I am so happy he finally opened up his own pottery studio. It's nothing short of amazing. The space is kept extremely clean, and is well laid out. There are plenty of brand new Shimpo pottery wheels, tables to hand build on, and a fantastic area for glazing with counters. You can also conveniently buy some clays and select throwing tools there. Lastly, the studio also has a lot of parking spaces which is a major convenience. Red Ox offers memberships and intro to throwing classes; I'm excited to see what kind of workshops and advanced classes they will offer. If you're lucky enough to be in this area, check this place out!

A wonderful, warm, and welcoming studio. There is a retail space where you can buy locally made ceramics. They also offer classes for all levels and membership for potters. I really benefit from the sense of community and excellent instruction. Definitely a place to come see for yourself even if you are new to ceramics. For potters looking for a place to work and grow, this is the place to be.

This studio is awesome! I have heard of it’s beginning when it was just a Dream and now it’s real! I can’t recommend the owner enough as a great teacher, person, and clay enthusiast. I am impressed with all the details he has put into this operation so far. I have no doubt that it will a safe, friendly place for artistic and personal growth. Go Roger!

All you need to work on ceramics! I've bought some of Roger's bowls for gifts. They are treasured still. I've heard that Roger is an talented instructor, very excited about this new local business.
