Went in to get an estimate as this was the preferred place for my insurance yet with the people standing around talking, they were unable to provide me with the estimate said I'd have to make an appointment needless to say I'm in route to my next business the person with the actual service gets the job

The service was great. Just a heads up, if you're thinking of scheduling an appointment online through your insurance company, you might want to wait and call them first. I did this and I needed to schedule an estimate first, which the site didn't know.But the service was great. They gave me a ride to the car rental place, and even allowed me to leave the rental with them when I picked up my car.The work was good and they kept me informed the whole time. No surprises. They even cleaned the inside and outside of my car before I picked it up.

Caution!!! take pictures of your mileage, tires, and damage! This shop is by far the Worst. a good friend of many years who I know and trust took his car their for minor repairs and they put fifty miles on it, burned off half of the NEW rear tire's. Suspect they took it out for a side show! the work done was very poor. find Another shop! His insurance company told him to bring it there!

Took my car in for a repair estimate. The receptionist was nice, but also inattentive to how long I was waiting in the lobby for the estimator. I waited in the lobby for 40 minutes before the estimator came out to greet me (I made the appointment the day before). My suggestion would be to greet your potential customer warmly. If you're running behind schedule, please acknowledge and communicate that with the customer. And the last thing an estimator should do is talk about additional work that most likely is not related to what you brought your car in for, or may have been completed already. Give the customer the opportunity to first explain why you brought the car in. Additionally, they also might want to think consider turning the heat up and having coffee or tea in the lobby while you're waiting. It was very cold inside the lobby area which made the waiting more tedious. I found there is a definite difference between Mike's Auto-body and this new company that bought Mike's shops. I always gave Mike's Auto body five stars. This company only gets two. I was not made to feel comfortable or welcomed. I ended up going over to Husteads auto body on Market Street in Concord for a second opinion. They greeted me warmly, and the estimator came out within five minutes to introduce himself. He gave me a detail of what the process would be, walked me out to my car and discussed the estimate and the process of the work that would be done. Within five minutes of explaining the estimate to me my insurance adjuster text me and said she just had received the new estimate. It was incredible. I was so impressed! Five stars for Husteads!

I'm writing this review for my mother who recently had to have her car fixed at this location (her Honda, was sideswiped by an elderly woman) and I was with her when we dropped off the car about 3 weeks ago. After her experience, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. In fairness, I will say the front desk woman was very sympathetic and kind. She explained everything and is fantastic with dealing with the public. She understood I was there to take care of my aging parents and was very sweet and she made us feel very comfortable. (As it turned out, my father passed away that week so you can imagine we did not need any more stress) The job that was estimated to take 2 weeks, but then my mother got a call saying it would be ready in a week. Great news - but it didn't quite turn out that way. It did take a little longer. She was able to get her car back BUT there were still outstanding parts that they needed to wait for, so they said she could drive her car in the interim. Sounds good, right? Well, she got her car and finally was able to get some groceries but when she returned home SHE COULD NOT CLOSE/LOCK HER DRIVER SIDE DOOR. No matter what she did it would not close. Luckily, her neighborhood is relatively safe, but how would you feel knowing your car is open to the public? And to add further insult to injury, the BATTERY DIED. She called for assistance and guess what? It didn't show up when they said it would and she had to call the company to make sure some one would come out to help her. When they did finally come out, they couldn't recharge the battery and said she needed a new one. So it took about 3 weeks for this entire drama to unfold and I am sorry I wasn't there to help further advocate for my mother because I wonder if they just saw this elderly lady and assumed they could do less than a stellar job. I was looking forward to writing a great review of this place because the beginning was so great, but I'm sad that I can't recommend this business.

Short: Pick another body shop. Dozens are around. Hustead's a few doors up are elite in comparison. Long: I know Mike's has a solid reputation and I can't speak to anything other than my experience. I went through an insurance company and their recommendation, which I quickly learned is the biggest mistake you can make. If you know a good body shop, it is well within your right to take it where you know it's going to get fixed and no one's gonna hand you a bunch of phony b******** This facility quoted and then nearly doubled the estimate once they found further work needed to be done, which at best was questionable. They claimed to not have the original estimate on file--that they 'added to it'. Right. On one occasion, the admin assistant at the front didnt want to take a phone call at business open and said they had a lobby full of people. She said she would call back in 15 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes later, I called her back. This shop is unique in that they hand you a form to sign before you hand over your car for repairs that states if at any time during the work process you wish to take your car to another shop to have the repairs done, they will charge you $700 or something relatively close to that for having started the work. Big freaking red flag right there. What other shop does that? This is because they don't efficiently work on cars and milk that s*** to kingdom come. Manager tried to claim because of supply chain issues parts were gonna take months to come in. They had my car for 3 weeks after I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks prior and they never called to update me on anything. I had to call them. They said at best car was gonna be done in a 2 month time frame AT THE EARLIEST, after I was told it would be a 2 week to 1 month job. Maybe it's because I generally pay out of pocket to get body work done when I don't get struck by a hit and run driver, but even with parts and labor issues, my cars get completed in 1 to 2 weeks tops during this 3-year pandemic. Manager tried to persuade me to keep the car with them by stating most shops in the area use the same vendors for parts. They don't. Because the shop I take my cars to regularly get the same parts in 4-5 business days. They also lied and said my car was not drivable off the lot. I had to call AAA to come pick up the car which was in the same condition when it was initially dropped it off. My a** shoulda walked there to see for myself that the car was indeed drivable. So wasted a AAA use there. The shop also refused to bill the insurance company for the tow. I had to take care of that myself. Good they get a lot of business, but that overwhelming business affects how this shop ranks as a zero in customer service. If an insurance company is involved you can be sure this Mike's will abusively take them to the cleaners and feed you lie after lie about working on your vehicle. Never again. Don't respond. You can't make it right. Lick my smelly, hairy a***

I would never recommend anyone to this shop nor would I ever return. Michelle in the front desk has a nasty attitude and she doesn’t seem like she wants to be at work. Nicholette has a slightly better attitude but she will guarantee that she is going to do something and then not do it. The shop guaranteed my car would be done monday and when I showed up my car wasn’t done. Nicholette spoke to Javier and he said it would be done that same day at 3 and then I get call an hour later saying it would take another 2-3 days because they never ordered a part for my bumper. Literally the worst experience. The only person there that deserved a 10 was the man that drives the shuttle.Service: Body & Trim

They did a great job of communicating the process, time for parts and expected date of completion. I’m just sad that they gave me my car and it wasn’t driving right. Also, they gave me my car without full air in the tires. I’ve used them in the past so I was thoroughly disappointed this time around.Service: Steering & suspension repair
