I recently visited Lucky's grocery store on Clayton Road in Concord, CA during their fantastic 3-day sale this weekend. Although I encountered a slight issue with my coupons not going through, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service provided by Carl, the friendly checker.Despite the disappointment of not being able to avail the sale prices, Carl went above and beyond to assist me. He patiently walked me through the situation, ensuring that I understood the process and offering alternative solutions. His impressive knowledge and willingness to help made me feel valued as a customer.I must commend Carl for his outstanding customer skills and genuine patience. It's rare to come across such dedicated and attentive staff members in today's fast-paced world. His assistance made a significant impact on my overall shopping experience.I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to Carl for his exceptional service. Thanks to his efforts, Lucky's grocery store on Clayton Road will now be my go-to place for all my shopping needs. The dedication and commitment that Carl demonstrated truly sets this store apart from the rest.Thank you, Lucky's, for having such a remarkable employee like Carl. Store makes millions in sales but can't fix bathroom toilet is 6/23/2023. Pathetic. I guess management doesn't care about employees and customers.

Usually I would give a 5 star review but today I got ripped off! At checkout I should have had a dollar back but instead I got handed my receipt folded up in a way I assumed it was inside. I stuffed it in my purse and left. When I got to my car I realized she didn't give me anything but the receipt. Once I walked away there's nothing I can do about it. She was working on checkstand #1I know it's only a dollar but it's still wrong! Guess I will be paying more attention from now on ?

This is a racist Luckys, read the comments throughout. Nothing against the younger people working there, but I've even witnessed them attack a young man because of how he looked. I've been here enough times to say something always feels off as others have said about going here. Don't know who manager is but it's time to call him out. They should close this Luckys and bring Target to Concord. There are four or five grocery stores within a two miles.

Just came from Lucky with a sour taste. Cashier Julie was very rude. I was a little scattered but she started rolling her eyes before I began to speak. I apologized and she continued to be rude. Husband says let’s go to a different grocery store. I’m in.

So this is my new FAV go to for food shopping in Concord. I am beyond obsessed and will be telling all my girlfriends about this place. They have variety of which I live for. If you were to take food from Safeway, Smiths, and target and combine all options into one store - this would be it! Love love love! 4 stars only because the two ladies in the bakery were extremely rude when I asked for some buttercream frosting to be added to my purchase of one of there bakery items ( I was even happy to pay extra) One of the ladies told me, 'ya, I guess' but was unsure how to do it and the other was super busy and told me she couldn't stop to help me and for me to go to isle 2 to purchase frosting from the baking section. I was completely taken aback. All I had asked for was for a little bit of buttercream to be topped on the mini cheesecake I was buying. She ended up doing it but was huffing and puffing the entire 2 seconds that it took her. Anyways, loved the rest of the staff!!

We live in Pleasant Hill, but drive to Clayton to shop at Lucky's. The people are friendly, and very helpful. My Husband does not like Safeway so we go to Lucky's.Lucky's use to be in Pleasant Hill, but they closed up, so we went to Clayton.

I keep going back to this Lucky's because when I moved to the area over a year ago I genuinely liked it, but now I am constantly disappointed. It seems like their shelves are line with two in-store brands - Sunny Select and Pacific Coast Selections. There are a ton of products in the store where the fast majority of it is just those two brands and zero other good options. Their meat selection is terrible most of the time, I keep finding grey-colored beed on the shelf and generally not the cuts I'm looking for. CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES on the products you buy, especially their fresh pastas, a lot of them are expired. Last but not least, I am fed up with getting yelled at for trying to go through self check because they insist I have over 15 items in my cart or basket when I don't. I would rather just go out of my way to Safeway where they don't care how many items you take through self check.

The staff here are so friendly and helpful! I enjoy seeing them and they always greet me and make conversation. The lines are rarely long and they are quick to call for backup. Store is clean and usually well-stocked.My only complaint is I have discovered a few items that are expired upon arriving home. It’s such a pain to have to go back and exchange.
